This gem of a hotel exceeded all expectations. I wouldn’t think of staying anywhere else. Great Gatsby meets Swan Lake vibes. From the reception area to the room, restaurant and Morrocan themed wellness area complete with multiple saunas and relaxation areas…. incredible!

This is a boutique hotel right in the center of Füssen close to the Altstadt but in a location where it's also easy to do day trips. The amenities are amazing as is the restaurant breakfast and evening dining. The only caution is that if you are using the hotels parking garage be, aware that it's very tight. Luckily for us we had a modern car with all the Bells and whistles which helped.

Very cute decor and had an amazing Moroccan style spa where you can use the steam room and chill on the cute patio afterwards. Walkable to many restaurants and shops. We walked straight to the popular castles or there are bus options as well. We really enjoyed our stay here.

The interior design of the room was the most impressive we really liked it. Front desk staff were most helpful when we asked about the public transportation around town, very courteous and professional. Breakfast was great except that the omelette can really use LESS salt. Parking was not too convenient because they have limited space and we had to park at a garage that’s ~3 minutes walk away, not too bad. Overall the hotel is one of the highlights of our 2 weeks trip.

So looking forward to the fitness area. None of the saunas worked, the floors were beyond slippery and none of the amenities that were described were present when we went in. No towels, no hydration. It was a big letdown.

This was a wonderful stay for our family. It was very clean and well kept. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was very nicely done out but the room had an open shower, with a window in the room. Not ideal with 2 teenagers! We used the wellness area while we were there and that was gorgeous. It has 2 steam rooms and a sauna, and a very luxurious place quiet rooms. It rained while we were there so we appreciated the down time. The parking was underground and had to book it in advance. The hotel is very centrally located , with a supermarket and bakery opposite, very close to the bus stop that takes you to Neuschwanstein Castle, and minutes to the town centre.

We just had the best breakfast on the planet! Seriously! Our room was very nice with a few flaws. The carpeting is very old, hard as tile with lots of stains and wear marks. There is a three inch step by the door that is easy to trip over. The water temperature of the small shower varies. We had to park in a dirt lot a block away. The bed was very soft. But the breakfast saved the day and will be remembered. The service was very nice.

Outstanding Staff. Interacted with 3 different Front Desk staff. All went out of their way to make our stay successful and comfortable. Beautiful old hotel, clean, good AC, amazing breakfast. Highly recommend a stay here.

Nice and cozy hotel. The rooms are spacious and beautiful. They are furnished in a modern and stylish way. Our room had both the jacuzzi and the shower. The restaurant is great for both breakfast and dinner. The location is good and by driving for 15 min you can reach the place, from which you can walk to the Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau castles. I don’t give 5 stars because I didn’t like having the shower room not separated from the bedroom through a door as well as having the toilet separated from the shower and the sink.

Tivemos uma ótima experiência. Quartos novos e confortáveis. Só sentimos falta de uma divisória melhor entre o chuveiro e o restante do quarto. Tb gostaríamos de uma alternativa para os travesseiros que eram muito baixos. Mas, no geral a hospedagem foi ótima e fomos muito bem atendidos.

The interior designer was too enthusiastic – the hallways and the room were too dark and too busy, overflowing with details, the toilet was situated at the entrance of the room, somehow opposite to the bathroom, which had very little light. The switches had a mind of their own – I could not learn how to make them work, even after two days of exercise. The mattress was very soft and the pillows were of very poor quality. Very good breakfast in a noisy hall but professional service.

Dark and depressing rooms. Loud music from the Bar at nights that will not let you sleep. Front desk didn't care about the loud music. Pictures don't match with what the rooms are. Good restaurant. Nothing in the rooms. No shampoo, no coffee maker, nothing. Will never stay there. It was not $300.00 a night room.

Our stay at Hotel Sonne in Füssen was excellent, the hotel was really clean and nicely upgraded. Unique decor throughout, our room was a nice size with all the necessary amenities. We really enjoyed the breakfast as well. I would definitely stay here again. Parking was offset close by with trains and buses nearby. Füssen is a beautiful destination, we loved it.

Lovely spot with great staff. Location is excellent. Restaurant wonderful. Air conditioning did not work. Beds very stiff yet pillows overly soft. Yes, this sounds like the princess and the pea reviewing, but temperature and uncomfortable bed combined made for poor sleep.

Excellent and amazing staff!!! Not only was the place clean and comfortable the decor was beautiful. The staff was so willing to help with any issues we had. We had troubles planning our train ride to Switzerland and they helped us including calling our next hotel to help us identify which station we needed to arrive at. The breakfast was amazing too! 5 + stars We will be back.

Wir sind zusammen mit unserem Kind angereist. Bekommen haben wir ein Zimmer was 1. nicht für Familien geeignet war (dies wurde uns später bestätigt) und 2. für diesen Preis absolut nicht akzeptabel war (zu klein, sehr dunkel). Auf Nachfrage wurde uns gesagt, dass alle Zimmer belegt wären und auch kein Chef mehr im Haus wäre (Freitag 15.00 Uhr). Nachdem wir nochmals geäußert haben, dass wir mit dem Zimmer nicht zufrieden sind und wieder auschecken wollen war dann plötzlich der Chef da und es gab auch andere freie Zimmer. Wir konnten dann das Zimmer tauschen. Wir haben uns sehr darüber geärgert, dass man uns hier offensichtlich für dumm verkaufen wollte. Ansonsten war das Hotel sehr schön und auch das Essen im Restaurant sehr lecker.

Auf Nachfrage wurde uns gesagt, dass alle Zimmer belegt wären und auch kein Chef mehr im Haus wäre (Freitag 15.00 Uhr). Nachdem wir nochmals geäußert haben, dass wir mit dem Zimmer nicht zufrieden sind und wieder auschecken wollen war dann plötzlich der Chef da und es gab auch andere freie Zimmer. Wir konnten dann das Zimmer tauschen. Wir haben uns sehr darüber geärgert, dass man uns hier offensichtlich für dumm verkaufen wollte. Ansonsten war das Hotel sehr schön und auch das Essen im Restaurant sehr lecker.

The interior design of the room was the most impressive we really liked it. Front desk staff were most helpful when we asked about the public transportation around town, very courteous and professional. Breakfast was great except that the omelette can really use LESS salt. Parking was not too convenient because they have limited space and we had to park at a garage that’s ~3 minutes walk away, not too bad. Overall the hotel is one of the highlights of our 2 weeks trip.

Hotel Sonne has excellent location. It’s 4 mins walk from the strain station and next to the walkable downtown area. Staff are very friendly. Mahdi was our receptionist when we arrived and he was very helpful and friendly with us throughout our stay. I would definitely come back to this hotel.

Maybe it was because we were American, but we were given a really bad room. The room was next to a deck with smoking and it smelled like an ashtray. Also people on the deck can see in your room as the curtain does not give much privacy. The parking was really far away from the hotel. Staff wasn’t too friendly. When we tried to explain issues with room they were not interested in listening. We were told to go out on the deck and ask the people to stop smoking. They told Expedia they would switch our room the next day but that was not true. When I saw how bad it was i asked if I could cancel and stay somewhere else or even just take one night off and reduce the time we booked but we were told no. There is no pool or much in amenities. I wouldn’t stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay at the Sonne Hotel. The room was spacious although the bathroom was a little small but that did not affect our satisfaction with the room. It was in a very central area, allowing us to walk to everything. Staff was fantastic! We would definitely recommend this hotel to all travellers.

We had a great stay. The bathroom had an unusual layout. It worked for us but may not be for everyone. Check the photos before reserving. The hotel is in the heart of the town, with plenty of restaurants nearby, although the hotel restaurant is also excellent. Their breakfast buffet is one of the best ice ever had.

Hice la ruta romántica y fue el mejor hotel de mi recorrido, la cocina es excelente, el Mejor desayuno que he tenido! Puedes acercarte y pedir huevos a tu gusto !!!muchas opciones de desayuno ! Además por la noche el bar está abierto cuando todo está cerrado,las habitaciones son muy bonitas e insonoras,la cama deliciosa! Lo mejor es que hablan español !!!! Y eso se agradece muchosismo , Inglés y alemán, son sumamente amables todas las personas que trabajan ahí , NUNCA había quedado tan satisfecha ! Además el precio es excelente ! Gracias ! Definitivamente lo recomendaré .

This was a very modern, chic and trendy hotel. Very clean and the location was great. We were traveling with our family and the bathroom was a little challenging because there are no doors to the bathroom or shower. The shower drain clogged, and because there is no lip in the shower, water went all over the bathroom (but the staff cleaned it up quickly). I think this was the market rate for other hotels in Fussen, but it was expensive, and breakfast and parking wasn’t included. Maybe just not the right fit for our family, but a couple looking for a fun getaway it would be awesome.
