Good no frills stay in an awesome part of town. Liz at the front desk was super friendly, that really made the stay for us. Room was clean if a little dated. Slept very well.

Really good sized triple room, easy walking distance to lots of restaurant options and safe walk back from the Ovo. Reasonably priced overnight parking just a couple of streets away. Can walk into the town centre and back too. Staff on reception very welcoming and helpful. Would definitely stay again

Very welcoming when we arrived by Joe. Lovely big immaculately clean room. Joe gave us recommendations of eateries nearby and ordered a taxi to the concert. Finally topped off our stay with a delicious breakfast. Will stay there again when next in Glasgow 👍

Great property, very clean and good beds. My only complaint is with their water/plumbing system. When water is used or the toilet flushed their pump system clicks in and it’s quite loud. Woke me up a few times in the night.

Super linens and towels but a little spare on shower and bath extras...soaps, lotions, etc and so make sure to bring your own. Great location next to beautiful Kelvingrove Park and Univ of Glasgow.

It was in a good location for where needed to be. The pillows are far to hard had to use a towel for one of us,no shampoo or shower gel in shower it was totally empty and the bathroom light was far to short for my wife to reach good job she was with someone tall! And room 1 was to noisy with traffic and people talking when walking past at all hours as gaps in windows.

The hotel is functional but dated, The room was warm and comfortable but on the small side. The bathrooms had a terribly noisy plumbing system & the shower had to be turned off half way through so the water didn’t overflow the shower tray. The whole hotel is dated & could do with an upgrade. Be aware breakfast has to be booked at 8pm the night before. It would have been useful to have known this at the time of booking. I was disappointed with this hotel & wouldn’t stay again. It is overpriced

We spent 3 nights at the Kelvingrove Hotel while visiting the area. From the moment we checked in Joe made it feel like we were visiting with family. He was so nice and helpful. Liz was another staff member that made us feel right at home. She was quick to fix any issues that arose. Both staff members were great at communicating and making sure we had a pleasant visit. Breakfast was very good. It was a great location for us to visit the University and had plenty of dining options near by. I would stay again at the Kelvingrove and recommend it to others.

We loved the character of this Scottish Hotel in the heart of the University district. The walkable is wonderful. Staying at the hotel is to savor Scotland herself. We selected The Kelvingrove based on a friend’s suggestion and are very glad to refer others.

This hotel is in a great location- walking distance to wonderful restaurants, pubs and the Kelvingrove museum. Joe is so friendly and helpful. Amazing breakfast! Thank you!

We were given a lovely large room Front of house staff was so friendly and helpful Then cleaning staff were also lovely and the rooms were immaculate Breakfast had a great selection Location was prefect great food shops and venues close by

We spent 3 nights at the Kelvingrove Hotel while visiting the area. From the moment we checked in Joe made it feel like we were visiting with family. He was so nice and helpful. Liz was another staff member that made us feel right at home. She was quick to fix any issues that arose. Both staff members were great at communicating and making sure we had a pleasant visit. Breakfast was very good. It was a great location for us to visit the University and had plenty of dining options near by. I would stay again at the Kelvingrove and recommend it to others.

The hotel is functional but dated, The room was warm and comfortable but on the small side. The bathrooms had a terribly noisy plumbing system & the shower had to be turned off half way through so the water didn’t overflow the shower tray. The whole hotel is dated & could do with an upgrade. Be aware breakfast has to be booked at 8pm the night before. It would have been useful to have known this at the time of booking. I was disappointed with this hotel & wouldn’t stay again. It is overpriced

We had a great two-night stay at the Kelvingrove Hotel in September 2026. Prompt and informative communication with the staff allowed us to check in smoothly after 10pm. The room was spacious, although the bathroom could be larger. Towels were fluffy and hot water in the shower was plentiful. The cooked breakfast was great too. Everyone working at the hotel was friendly and gave us good advice on where to go, even giving me a plastic bag to put my wet umbrella in. The hotel is very conveniently located near great restaurants, Kelvingrove Park, the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum and the University of Glasgow. Thanks very much to everyone at the hotel for a wonderful visit!

The room was clean but below street grade so the drains had to be constantly pushed out, making an awful noise anytime we used the facilities. The smell was damp which also was a concern. Ryan the manager was super and very friendly and responsive. Breakfast had a good variety of items as well as a cooked to order breakfast. There are a lot of options for pubs and dinners within walking distance.

Everything was wonderful except the shower stall was tiny. A 6’3”” man can barely squeeze in and don’t think about turning around or extending you arms. Other than that 1st rate all the way!
