Beautiful medieval castle in a small town. The hotel is very nice, we just wish there was a grand salon to seat similar to other Paradores we have stayed; we also wish there was access to the castle towers. The room was excellent, very roomy, comfortable. We would just recommend to get at least 1 English channel in the TV service.

Historisches Gebäude, großes Schlafzimmer, bequeme Betten und zufriedenstellendes Frühstück. Paradores sind nicht für ihre hochwertigen Abendessen bekannt, daher habe ich mir im gemütlichen Innenhof einen Teller Jamón Ibérico mit einem Glas Rotwein aus Ribera del Duero gegönnt. Wie viele Paradores liegen auch diese abseits der ausgetretenen Pfade und bestechen durch die Schönheit und Ruhe ihrer historischen Gebäude, während man mit dem Auto durch Spanien reist.

It was a beautiful place, The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The rooms were large and comfortable. The only negative was went for a walk in the evening and the lighting at the entrance was very poor. Well worth a stop.

Excelente. Un castillo precioso con un ambiente medieval increíble y recientemente renovado. Las habitaciones superiores muy cómodas y algunas con balcones preciosos. Nosotros tuvimos la suerte de tener balcón, vale la pena pagar más. La decoración te sumerge en un ambiente medieval muy romántico y ensoñador. El personal magnífico y muy amable tanto en recepción, restauración y limpieza, hacen tú estancia muy agradable,lo mejor de todo. La pega es que en la cafetería, a pesar de la profesionalidad, la simpatía y el buen hacer de los camareros,se nota que no tienen el personal necesario , lo que provoca lentitud en los servicios, a pesar de los esfuerzos del personal. La comida muy buena y abundante. Muchísimas gracias a todos el personal por hacer nuestra estancia mágica

Siempre es una delicia alojarse en un Parador y el de Sigüenza es de los más agradables en los que he estado. El personal encantador y profesional y la higiene y seguridad covid excepcionales.

The castle is a dream. Wonderful place.Stunning .Super clean. Quiet walkable city down the hill. Beautiful rooms. The only bad thing was dinner time. It’s a shame that are so short staffed. It took forever to get food and a long wait (30 min.) to get coffee after dinner. A hotel with this stature should offer an excellent service all around.

The Parador surroundings are beautiful. The rooms are nice but did not have the unique architectural quality of the castle. Very clean and restful stay. The hotel staff, although polite, were not as enthusiastic in their service. The city’s residents and businesses were very cordial! The visitor’s center was excellent on local information and history. Best to visit toward the middle-end of the week to enjoy most restaurants and shops as they open from Thursday-Sunday. Trains to Siguenza from Madrid were limited and closed due to renovations. Transfers were by bus, which made the journey a bit longer. No information to this effect was publicized during the train ticket reservations, FYI. Lastly, there are only four taxi companies (with limited cars) that operate so it’s difficult to acquire same-day transport. Best to have a car.

El hotel es muy bonito, la habitación es amplia y está limpia pero todos los pasillos huelen a nicotina (incluyendo la entrada del cuarto) y el baño de la habitación olía muy mal. Cuando le dices a la del front desk sobre el olor a cigarro, se hace la que acaba de enterarse. Con el desayuno no entiendo cuál es el rollo. Querían q compráramos el buffet de 21 euros pero nosotros no desayunamos fuerte… solo queríamos tomar un café. Pues nunca nos atendieron para tomar un café. La chica del hotel nos dijo q, si queríamos un pan con el café, salíamos mejor pagando el buffet. No entendí cómo iba a salir mejor con el buffet si solo quería un café y acaso un pan … pero tomamos café por una cafetería en el pueblo. El hotel está arriba, el pueblo abajo así que es importante que tenga buena movilidad, de lo contrario, será difícil subir la cuesta del pueblo cada vez q tenga q volver al hotel.

Being able to stay in such an impressive historical building is definitely worth the experience. Being an actual castle probably makes it difficult to keep installations up-to-date, though, as our room felt a bit dated (and not in a cool medieval way) and we had some issues with the heating system. It was a standard room, so higher categories may be better. Mixed experience with staff as some were great while others seemed a bit clueless. Sigüenza is beautiful and I would definitely recommend staying at the Parador, as long as you don't expect luxury. You pay for the spectacular location and building (the castle really is beautiful) rather than for the level of hotel services as such.

Nosotros tuvimos la suerte de tener balcón, vale la pena pagar más. La decoración te sumerge en un ambiente medieval muy romántico y ensoñador. The Parador surroundings are beautiful. The rooms are nice but did not have the unique architectural quality of the castle. Very clean and restful stay. The hotel staff, although polite, were not as enthusiastic in their service. The city’s residents and businesses were very cordial! The visitor’s center was excellent on local information and history. Best to visit toward the middle-end of the week to enjoy most restaurants and shops as they open from Thursday-Sunday. Trains to Siguenza from Madrid were limited and closed due to renovations. Transfers were by bus, which made the journey a bit longer. No information to this effect was publicized during the train ticket reservations, FYI. Lastly, there are only four taxi companies (with limited cars) that operate so it’s difficult to acquire same-day transport. Best to have a car.

It was a beautiful place, The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The rooms were large and comfortable. The only negative was went for a walk in the evening and the lighting at the entrance was very poor. Well worth a stop.

Nos gustó la situacion. El personal, ( muy amable). No me gustó nada la cantidade de visitantes que se metian por todos los sitios incluidos los exclusivos para los clientes. En el comedor entraban solo a hacer fotos mientras comiamos y hasta en los pasillos de las habitaciones. Me quedo con lo bueno Dormir en un castillo.

El parador en su linea, excelente, con la salvedad de que la habitación era un tanto espartana para ser un parador... a nivel de hotel de 4 estrellas normalito. Y una advertencia importante: al ser un antiguo castillo está, lógicamente, en lo alto... bajar y subir a ver catedral, restaurantes, etc. es un tanto peliagudo para personas mayores o delicadas.

Very welcoming reception, loved the window seat in our room. Very clean. I know it's not ususl in Spain, but vegetarian option for dinner menu would be good. I was able to request a dish without the meat or fish it was supposed to come with.

Historisches Gebäude, großes Schlafzimmer, bequeme Betten und zufriedenstellendes Frühstück. Paradores sind nicht für ihre hochwertigen Abendessen bekannt, daher habe ich mir im gemütlichen Innenhof einen Teller Jamón Ibérico mit einem Glas Rotwein aus Ribera del Duero gegönnt. Wie viele Paradores liegen auch diese abseits der ausgetretenen Pfade und bestechen durch die Schönheit und Ruhe ihrer historischen Gebäude, während man mit dem Auto durch Spanien reist.

The Parador de Sigüenza is set in a magnificent 12th century medieval fortress. We asked for a room overlooking the courtyard and were delighted that one was available. The staff were delightful. We had read that service was slow in the restaurant and were confident that the comments were just isolated incidents. We were wrong! Service was very slow! However, this was just the way that service is done at this Parador - you don’t pop in for some fast food - you go for the ambience and a leisurely meal. The Parador is just a few minutes walk to the centre of town - down a fairly steep hill (which seems even steeper when you are going back up it). The highlight of the town is the cathedral- lots to see, a must visit (the hundreds of heads in the ceiling was quite a surprise!). Parking was easy for us - we managed to get the last free parking space inside the fortress walls - parking outside costs a few euros a day. We spent two full days (three nights) at the Parador and were ready to move on as we had seen everything in those two days. One of the best Paradors that we have stayed in.
