Beautiful property, very homey and comfortable. The kitchen has so many supplies, spices, tea and coffee. This is the best part of VRBO-we felt like we were staying with friends! I highly recommend this house.

What a wonderful and cozy place to stay! The home has everything we could possibly need, in the middle of all the trees! The kitchen was well stocked, the couches and bed were very comfortable, and the heat worked great! I loved the claw-foot bathtub and sitting on the back deck looking out to all the trees. We also loved the location, being so close to Eureka and Arcata, but feeling out in the country at the same time. Thank you so much!!

The house was beautiful and the grounds were all green and forest and flowers. Our favorite part was the large kitchen where we made all our meals. The bedrooms had gorgeous views through unique windows and the beds were really comfortable. The hosts were pleasant and always responded promptly.

Peaceful, love the trees - the house is big, quiet, warm, clean and in very good condition. Well stocked. All we could want and loved the roomy kitchen with lots of counter space. Our dogs liked the hiking in the area. We would stay here again.

Wonderful small book group reunion hosted here. Well stocked kitchen and dining area and comfy areas for conversation. Love the bedrooms and natural light. Lovely to get eggs and milk at the neighborhood farm. We enjoyed Brick & Fire Bistro, the Sequoia Park Zoo & Garden, and Arcata Farmers Market. We hope to return next year

Stayed here for 3 nights while we worked in Eureka. The place is a peaceful, magical forest getaway! Delightfully clean and comfy. You are literally in the forest and perfectly situated between Eureka and Arcata. We didn't want to leave but on to the next job! Thanks for a great experience!!!

We arrived to a super clean house. Windows open for fresh air. We slept with the widows open and let the cool breeze run through the house. Wake up to birds chirping outside. Bed were extremely comfortable. Definitely would recommend this house and the owners were awesome too. Great communication and the price was good too.

This sweet cozy cottage was wonderful! The place was clean and had all of the amenities we needed. The house is located in the woods but was not too far from the town of Eureka. We loved seeing the banana slugs in the garden. The host communicated all through our stay. Thank you!

Overall we liked the house very much. We thought everything looked good except for cobwebs in some of the rooms. Still, we thank you for the house. If it is ever available again, we'd like to return.

Quiet beautiful location and lodging. House has lots of character, super clean and well stocked. Owner was incredibly thoughtful and even had the fireplace running before I arrived. I would highly recommend!!

This house was perfect for us to call home while exploring the Redwoods and the shorelines. It was so quiet and clean, extremely comfortable and had everything you need to relax, cook, eat and sleep. The beds were wonderful and we slept great every night. A huge bonus were the binders our host put together regarding dining, activities, places to visit and outdoor activities. They included brochures and maps that allowed us to quickly find things to do on the one rainy day and the maps were invaluable for finding hiking trails in the Redwoods and access to the beaches and shorelines. In all I would rate this property a solid 10 and will return to this home when we come back for another visit to the big trees.

My husband and I absolutely loved this charming house. The beds were so comfortable and the owners have thought of everything. With the seclusion provided by the surrounding trees it felt like we were the only people in the world. We would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!

Very comfortable and well equipped. Decorated beautifully and has everything needed for a short or long term stay. Easy access and great instructions for ease in settling in. Only things to be aware of for “mature” guests is steep stairs & bathrooms are on different floors from each other. Shared bath upstairs with claw foot tub shower ( a little hard to get in) and second bath on main floor with stall shower. We enjoyed our stay.

Off the beaten path on a hilly one lane road but fairly convenient to area activities. The lay out was unusual with stairs here and there on the main floor. Did not expect that upstairs was heated by space heaters.

We couldn’t be happier with our stay at this gorgeous home! It is so conveniently located a few minutes from 101 between Arcata & Eureka but up in the forest surrounded by trees & beautiful landscaping. Great home base for exploring Redwood NP to the north and Humboldt Redwoods SP to the south. Lots of great hiking trails just 10 min away too. First time we’ve been to a rental that had any instruments let alone both a piano and guitar. Great outdoor areas to soak up nature and great views inside too. I loved the combination of antique (eg claw foot tub) and modern comforts including great WiFi. The kitchen had everything too! Communication with owner/mgr was easy and prompt! Would definitely stay here again if we are lucky enough to return!

We did have a few issues with our stay. Apparently there was a " SCHEDULED 7hr pge maintenance" on our 2nd day. We were not notified by the owner until 8am that same morning. Which meant no utilities/power/water (showers)etc. all day. Upon returning to the house (5pm) after our day, we still had no water! I feel that if this was a Scheduled Maintenance we needed to be informed sooner that the day of! Regarding this inconvenience I feel the owner could have offered to compensated us in some way or even apologized for this inconvenience, we received neither. Also, the downstairs shower really needs to be updated. the shower head would not stay in one position. There were no safety/grab bars in the stall, this really is a safety issue! This is my our second time using a vrbo, I would not stay here in the future.

I am SO happy we were able to stay in this wonderful home nestled amongst the redwoods. Perfect for me and my family to use as a base of operations for getting out to visit and reconnect with friends and family in the area. The small touches of warmth and welcome were abundant and appreciated, and communication was caring, kind and prompt. Thank you very much for a wonderful stay - we'll definitely hope to be back soon!!!

A perfect get away for our little family for the holidays. The house was warm when we arrived, with a fire burning to welcome us. Everything was easy, from walks in the Arcata redwoods and marshes, to cooking in the well-stocked kitchen. Communication was always prompt and clear. Truly wonderful.

Everything was just as described. We couldn’t be happier with such a beautiful and comfortable stay for our first trip to Northern California. Teresa was a very gracious and responsive host. I would stay here again in a heartbeat! Loved ever minute of it!

It is so conveniently located a few minutes from 101 between Arcata & Eureka but up in the forest surrounded by trees & beautiful landscaping. First time we’ve been to a rental that had any instruments let alone both a piano and guitar. Great outdoor areas to soak up nature and great views inside too. I loved the combination of antique (eg claw foot tub) and modern comforts including great WiFi. The kitchen had everything too! Communication with owner/mgr was easy and prompt! Would definitely stay here again if we are lucky enough to return!
We couldn’t be happier with our stay at this gorgeous home! It is so conveniently located a few minutes from 101 between Arcata & Eureka but up in the forest surrounded by trees & beautiful landscaping. Great home base for exploring Redwood NP to the north and Humboldt Redwoods SP to the south. Lots of great hiking trails just 10 min away too. The home is amazing. You are in Redwoods and near the beach. Plenty of trails for hiking. Traveling here you can truly relax after a day of exploring. There are also some of the best restaurants just 5 minutes away.

Off the beaten path on a hilly one lane road but fairly convenient to area activities. The lay out was unusual with stairs here and there on the main floor. Did not expect that upstairs was heated by space heaters.

What a great property in the woods. It was perfect for our family visit to northern California to check out the Redwoods and more. Very quiet with plenty of space to relax and a very well-equipped kitchen with everything needed to feel like we were home.

Beautiful property, very homey and comfortable. The kitchen has so many supplies, spices, tea and coffee. This is the best part of VRBO-we felt like we were staying with friends! I highly recommend this house.

What a wonderful and cozy place to stay! The home has everything we could possibly need, in the middle of all the trees! The kitchen was well stocked, the couches and bed were very comfortable, and the heat worked great! I loved the claw-foot bathtub and sitting on the back deck looking out to all the trees. We also loved the location, being so close to Eureka and Arcata, but feeling out in the country at the same time. Thank you so much!!

The house was beautiful and the grounds were all green and forest and flowers. Our favorite part was the large kitchen where we made all our meals. The bedrooms had gorgeous views through unique windows and the beds were really comfortable. The hosts were pleasant and always responded promptly.

Wonderful small book group reunion hosted here. Well stocked kitchen and dining area and comfy areas for conversation. Love the bedrooms and natural light. Lovely to get eggs and milk at the neighborhood farm. We enjoyed Brick & Fire Bistro, the Sequoia Park Zoo & Garden, and Arcata Farmers Market. We hope to return next year

This house was perfect for us to call home while exploring the Redwoods and the shorelines. It was so quiet and clean, extremely comfortable and had everything you need to relax, cook, eat and sleep. The beds were wonderful and we slept great every night. A huge bonus were the binders our host put together regarding dining, activities, places to visit and outdoor activities. They included brochures and maps that allowed us to quickly find things to do on the one rainy day and the maps were invaluable for finding hiking trails in the Redwoods and access to the beaches and shorelines. In all I would rate this property a solid 10 and will return to this home when we come back for another visit to the big trees.

This is a beautiful home in a gorgeous location - and all the knick-knacks, instruments and books and games make it feel like you are visiting an old family friend instead of staying in a stranger’s home! We had no problems at all while we stayed and enjoyed the rural area (although super close to any town!). It was just the two of us, but this would be perfect for a family getaway too!
