this castello (castle) is a gem of a special place and time. visit www.castellobeccaria.it for more information of the astounding history - a place where Giovanni de'Medici who became pope Leo X in 1513 - 1521 was staying as well. Giovanna and Silvio the owners will happily show and tell you all about it. Silvio - 3rd generation owner - and his wonderful wife Giovanna are working hard to restore the castle to its former beauty and incorporate beautiful guest rooms with modern amenities. Giovanna will surprise you with a cooked to order breakfast and serves it to you personally. We were very, very lucky and happy to find this place on our trip to Florence. Hopefully we will be able to come back for a longer stay. The surrounding town is one of the most restaurated small towns in the area and the couple recommended us to a great restaurant nearby for dinner. We will add some pictures to our review and to give a better impression.

Extraordinary medieval castello. Lovely and very helpful property owners who are doing a fantastic job restoring the property. And boy, have they cut out work for them! Ask to visit the reception hallls, they are spectacular.

Agroturismo sympathique, mais les photos sont plus flatteuses que la réalité. Matelas un peu en cuvette, mais les chambres sont spacieuses et la salle de bain bien faite. Attention si vous arrivez après 21h il faut payer un extra de 30 euros. Monsieur nous a accueillies très gentiment et est attentif.
