Hotel Niles Istanbul

Charmigt hotell nära Grand Basar och spårvagnar. Personlig och trevlig service. Väldigt fin terrass där frukosten serveras och med utsikt över havet.

Vackert hotell, mycket trevlig personal, härligt rum, spetslakan i en underbar säng. Bra läge nära spårvagn. Restaurang med terrass med havsutsikt. Fick inte bara en karta i handen vid incheckningen utan genomgång av 'must see' platser och hur ta sig dig med spårvagn.

We absolutely loved this hotel. It is in a very convenient position for exploring the city - about a fifteen minute walk from the Blue Mosque - but set in a quieter, more relaxed area. (Istanbul is a busy city so “quiet” is relative and you will be woken by the 4am call to prayer!) The hotel is full of character with traditional, opulent, Turkish decor in the public areas. Rooms re a little simpler but do have some nice touches and are beautifully clean with a shower that works and plenty of towels. The staff are fantastic - front desk staff could not be more helpful and knowledgeable and as for the breakfasts…. I cannot recommend it highly enough! It is taken on the roof terrace with views to the Bospherous in one direction and to one of the grander mosques in the other. The food is absolutely delicious - a huge selection of traditional delights - gorgeous fresh bread, cheese, fruit, cakes, jam, spreads much of it homemade and, as a really hospitable touch, there is often a written explanation of individual choices to encourage you to try them. When breakfast is over, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and tea and coffee are available on the roof terrace until about 10.30. It is a lovely place to sit at any time of the day. I would not hesitate to stay here again on a future visit to this fantastic city.
