Støtt Old Trading Post, which dates back to the 19th century, is your ideal base for exploring the magnificent coast of Helgeland.The island of Støtt is situated right by the shipping lane in the far north of Helgeland. Our idyllic archipelago enjoys a panorama that spans from the jagged peaks of the Lofoten Islands in the north to the legendary and majestic Helgeland mountains of in the south.In 1897, our great-grandfather bought Støtt and operated a trading post here, and for decades he bought the catch from local fishermen, produced dried fish, salted countless barrels of herring, produced cod liver oil and ran the busy country store. Today, the 4th and 5th generation of proprietors are continuing to enhance and develop the Støtt Old Trading Post, which has been carefully restored and upgraded with modern amenities.1In Restaurant Gammelbutikken you can dine in surroundings that are testimony to an ancient and thriving coastal culture.
