We stayed there for 2 nights and had no problem finding the motel or parking the car. The rooms were much bigger than shown in the pictures with more beds and additional rooms, and the staff was friendly. The outside of the motel needs to be updated, and the area seemed unsafe. The staff was very courteous. The inside of the motel was clean and had some updates. The second bedroom had a very old carpet and the light from the wall had cut cables just sticking out of the wall. Seemed like a fire hazard. There was no bolt for the door, just the lock on the door knob. It had a cute little kitchenette and very nice remodeled bathroom. The price, though, was excellent.

At the price point I was not expecting much and just needed a place to sleep. The issues I had is that the place is dirty and in relative disrepair. Mini blinds were shredded and let in light, door lock was on its last leg, filthy carpet, ect… Would not recommend until they at least give it a deep clean.

The owners/hosts are super friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and well-stocked. It was recently remodeled and has a microwave, refrigerator, and TV. The AC worked, and the showers were hot with good water pressure. The bed was comfortable. Overall, it was a positive experience at a great price. Thank you!

The outside looks a little in need but not horrible. The room was sufficient for 1 person but small. The only big complaint was the bed was very woobly and noisy even just shifting in bed. Was pleasantly pleased with how clean it was and no smells.

Its an old run down motel. Was picking up son from UCSC and we needed sleep before the long drive back. Should have just drove steaight back to LA. Our room smelled like cat urine masked with deodorizer. There was no masking the smell. Could barely sleep. Wound up being more tired than the day before. Next time will pay the extra money for a newer, cleaner hotel with amenities. Also that is cleaner!!

We had booked a room with 2 queen beds. On arriving at the property we were pleasantly surprised that it comprised of two connected rooms each with a queen bed. The young guy at the reception was very amicable and helpful.

I hate that hotels' security deposit fee is not mentioned on the booking page because the manager of the hotel sprung it on me when I went to check in. After I complained enough, he backed off and said don't worry about it and smiled as if it wasn't a big deal. Then I got to the room and it felt like my eyes were bleeding: bare yellow walls, yellow ceiling, dorm furniture. I wanted to turn around and leave. Then I discovered that the air conditioner made the window panes rattle so I had to rig up something to prevent that or I wouldn't be able to sleep. One of the window panes had a hole in it so I patched it up with tape. On top of it all, across the street is a very loud Latin bar blaring live banda music till late. Was happiest when I left.

It was a basic square room. No decorations. Nothing to make you feel cozy. The rep wanted cash for the deposit, which seemed weird. I didnt have cash so he just gave me the key, yes an actual key not a card. The bed was kind of worn but not too bad to sleep on. Would not go back.

It's old, simple, but it's got everything you need. This was a fantastic value for a full week, the bed was comfortable, the shower was nice & warm, and the rooms have a TV, microwave, and refrigerator. My only real issue is that the phone number provided seems to be disconnected. I don't know how to go about contacting the hotel about an item I may have left behind.

The bathroom was good. Floor tiling, toilet, basin plumbing were new. Shower had hot water, soap and shampoo. However, bathroom floor needs to be mopped more often. Likewise, the bedroom carpeting needs to be carpet-cleaned. The mini-fridge worked well. I did not try the microwave oven or the TV. Lights all worked. But the bedside power outlets didn't work. The table was very small. The chairs were restaurant table chairs. The area is not that quiet. Monterey Rd used to be U.S. 101 decades ago. There are railroad tracks across the street. I chose The Oaks Motel for its proximity to Black Bear Diner, a longtime favorite.

The customer service team was great and super understanding and friendly. Had a fun time at the staying and they did not mind us checking out later than 11 AM. Overall the service was excellent, and the owners were nice, hotel was clean and the AC worked perfectly.

0 is too much for this place. Very rude guy form the front desk. Lier, because promised to refund my reservation and keep my money. Asked $20 that is not explained in the rules. No answer phone calls for resolve issues. I tried to contact several times, Expedia tried too with out success. I want my money back or I will report this place. Our room had spoiled food from previous guests.

Very simple clean place to sleep. Be aware. You will need a $20 cash only key deposit. There seemed to be a miscommunication when I turned my key in where the younger guy tried to say I never gave a deposit. But the older guy working said I did. And the younger one reluctantly gave me my $20 back. . So I guess ask for a receipt when you give your deposit. But over all a good place to stay if all you need is a place to sleep.

So the people who own it are super nice. However if you book online you are still expected to pay a CASH deposit that i felt bad not having but he said its ok if i brought it later (honestly i still havent cause i know im good about jeeping stuff clean) but was kinda inconvenient that i cant do that with a card. The location is kind of shady and the rooms are key locked door and when i checked the windows in my room they ar3 super old wood fram windows and were UNLOCKED so if you stay there make sure toncheck your locks and windows cause you may firget to lock them. Best thing is they are super close to alot of resteraunts. But the beds are memory foam mattresses. So be mindful of that. For a cheap overnight motel this place definitley works. AC works. Decent size shower. Fridge and small freezer. Cable, and wifi. Curtains are somewhat see through. But i was so far to the back i didnt see am issue there.

The bathroom was good. Floor tiling, toilet, basin plumbing were new. Shower had hot water, soap and shampoo. However, bathroom floor needs to be mopped more often. Likewise, the bedroom carpeting needs to be carpet-cleaned. The mini-fridge worked well. I did not try the microwave oven or the TV. Lights all worked. But the bedside power outlets didn't work. The table was very small. The chairs were restaurant table chairs. The area is not that quiet. Monterey Rd used to be U.S. 101 decades ago. There are railroad tracks across the street. I chose The Oaks Motel for its proximity to Black Bear Diner, a longtime favorite.

The unexpected demand for a $50 cash deposit at check-in started us off on the wrong foot. This charge is on top of the fact that we had already reserved and fully paid for the room online. We did get the deposit back at check out. The Oaks Motel is an older property. The room was stuffy when we first arrived. We had to let the A/C and a fan run while we left for about an hour to let the room air out. Check bed sheets for hair. Also, the glass shower door did not look clean.

Thank you for the hospitality! The staff were very helpful and kind. I would recommend this place for an easy night sleep. Also conveniently close to a couple restaurants that are walking distance.

I stay here quite often and I always enjoy my time. It's in walking distance of downtown but still a good distance away to where it's quiet at night. Staff is always polite and accommodating.

Well, the TV always work fine. One time I saw tv screen show that someone use remote change channel just one time. I look remote is on the bed. I was at the chair with table. Eating my own foods. Anyway, I take remote changing channel. Somehow, the tv went off. I didnt press power. I turned back on. There says. No media. From around 1030pm. I tried back tv but it same No Nedia. I asked office 11 or 1130pm. The man said. Other room have plm too. Wait in the morning. I haven't watch tv news until I check out early 1035am the other man fixed in 3 mins. It normal tv that came back. Strange it good T.y.
