Well, lets start with the positive.. The room is a decent size and clean. The issues with this hotel.. You have to pay for parking! For a 2 night stay, cost me £30. Also the car park is shared with the football ground.. I can see this being an issue if a match is on. There is no desk in the room.. there is lots of space for it! The rooms aircon is terrible.. it was running constantly set at 17, I dont think the room dropped below 25. Lol, it was like 15 degrees outside in the morning but nearly 30 in the room.

Booked the hotel for my daughter and granddaughter competing at British swimming in Ponds Forge.The room was spacious,breakfast was good,parking near the hotel at an additional cost.All in all convenient for our needs.

Breakfast was disappointing sausages/bacon overdone and very greasy. Had planned on ordering a cocktail when we returned from dinner before returning to room but the Barman told us that the equipment was being washed currently so he couldn’t do them he came back with if we wanted to wait until the next person started in 20 mins we could have a cocktail. We just headed back to our room at this point but very disappointed with his level of customer service.
Breakfast was disappointing sausages/bacon overdone and very greasy. Had planned on ordering a cocktail when we returned from dinner before returning to room but the Barman told us that the equipment was being washed currently so he couldn’t do them he came back with if we wanted to wait until the next person started in 20 mins we could have a cocktail. We just headed back to our room at this point but very disappointed with his level of customer service.

Lovely hotel and fantastic breakfast. The staff who were running breakfast were efficient and friendly. The front desk staff were unfriendly and unwelcoming- both at night and the morning. Just note that parking is not free and it costs £15 per 24 hours. Would have been nice to know this prior to the trip as may have chosen a different hotel as price was a factor.

Stay was wonderful. Very comfortable, spacious and well appointed room. Lovely bathroom with nice walkin shower. If there was one unexpected downside was the parking. £15 for overnight in the hotel car park

We had a problem with our air conditioning, once we alerted the lobby we had a new room within 10 minutes. The staff COULD NOT have been any more friendly and accommodating. This is my second stay in a Double Tree and it won't be my last. Great room and great breakfast too. Friendly staff and a great bar. In one word, EXCELLENT.

Our stay at the hotel was brilliant quick and easy check in and after driving to Sheffield from Glasgow the cookie on arrival was a lovely touch. The room was spacious and very clean . Bar area was vey airy and staff were very attentive . The star of the show was Victoria who was working at breakfast time . Bubbly very chatty and funny had a great welcome for each guest a credit to your hotel and company .

Really good hotel next to Bramhall Lane football ground. Check in was easy and the warm chocolate cookies were very nice. Room was clean and comfortable and the shower was excellent. Could benefit from a few more coffees and milks on the tray though. City centre only ten minutes walk from the hotel.

Room was very nice, as was the bathroom, but couldn’t get the A/C to come on. Luckily it wasn’t excessively hot so didn’t really affect sleep. Breakfast was very nice, with good choice and never had to wait for anything. Found the staff very friendly and helpful, throughout our short stay.

Great location, friendly and attentive staff and the room and food were really nice. The only gripe I have is with the light switches - there's a certain one that has to be on for the others (like the bathroom) one to come on but it wasn't labelled or anything. Every time I needed light it was trial and error of the switches! Please make this clearer.

The hotel was very clean and the room was great. The bathroom was very modern but the shower was on the narrow side and I am not a large person but I kept banging my elbows as I tried to wash. The bar and reception were very spacious and comfortable and staff were very friendly though maybe a little under trained. They seem to find difficulty in very simple tasks but I know the hotel is quite new so I’m sure they will get better

This is a nice hotel with large comfortable rooms, but the experience here was thoroughly unenjoyable. A room down the corridor from mine was having a party all night long with thumping h loud dance music. I complained to reception at 1am, then tried again at 1.30 but nobody answered the phone, and I finally managed to get a reply from reception at 3am to complain again. This hotel really needs to deal with anti-social guests in a better way as it is totally unfair to charge for a room and then deny sleep! On top of this the hotel tried to charge me twice for the stay, but full payment was taken from my bank a week before arrival. I had to show my bank statement to prove it. And £15 for parking is utter theft!

This is my second stay in a Double Tree and it won't be my last. Great room and great breakfast too. Friendly staff and a great bar. In one word, EXCELLENT.

Really good hotel next to Bramhall Lane football ground. Check in was easy and the warm chocolate cookies were very nice. Room was clean and comfortable and the shower was excellent. Could benefit from a few more coffees and milks on the tray though. City centre only ten minutes walk from the hotel.

room was very beautiful and really comfortable, excellent bed. there was a nice gym there as well. i thought the parking was expensive so we let the car on the street, but this was no issue. i was worried it would be a chaos since there was a stadium right beside, i discovered after i booked, and there was a game on the time i would arrive, but then i changed plans and arrived just after the game so it was fine.

The hotel is about a 20 minute walk from the city centre. It is modern well appointed. My room had everything l needed and l especially liked the shower in the bathroom. The buffet breakfast was good, all the staff were helpful and my poached eggs were cooked to order. I stayed for the England women’s football match and the hotel could not have been nearer the ground. I will definitely book again if l am in Sheffield.

Breakfast was disappointing sausages/bacon overdone and very greasy. Had planned on ordering a cocktail when we returned from dinner before returning to room but the Barman told us that the equipment was being washed currently so he couldn’t do them he came back with if we wanted to wait until the next person started in 20 mins we could have a cocktail. We just headed back to our room at this point but very disappointed with his level of customer service.

Lovely hotel and fantastic breakfast. The staff who were running breakfast were efficient and friendly. The front desk staff were unfriendly and unwelcoming- both at night and the morning. Just note that parking is not free and it costs £15 per 24 hours. Would have been nice to know this prior to the trip as may have chosen a different hotel as price was a factor.

Hotel was great, good rooms and pretty comfortable beds. Good bathroom. Awful breakfast, staff only had time to check your room number so they knew you had paid! Hot buffet had pretty much run out on Sat at 10am was replenished but they must have known they were running out so had time to cook more unless they are hugely understaffed. Sausages poor, scrambled egg awful, bacon ok and tomato ok. So, the coffee! Wow, machine looked lovely and had a fancy screen which even told me to enjoy it when it finished pouring. However did anyone actually taste the coffee during the procurement process? Absolutely vile! Fruit juice was ok though. Would absolutely use the hotel again, not sure about breakfast but will definitely avoid the coffee although it would be great if you could replace it with ones that actually make coffee. Staff outside breakfast (who were run off their feet) were lovely.

The hotel itself is lovely. The welcome cookie was a nice touch. The food in the bar/restaurant though was not good. I ordered the salmon salad - salmon was tasty but the rest was pretty poor for a hotel of this overall quality.

Room was very nice, as was the bathroom, but couldn’t get the A/C to come on. Luckily it wasn’t excessively hot so didn’t really affect sleep. Breakfast was very nice, with good choice and never had to wait for anything. Found the staff very friendly and helpful, throughout our short stay.

They take a £60 back up fee on arrival in case you do a bunk at the bar, but soften the hit with a free cookie. Hotel was fine though, gym small but has everything you need for a decent work out. Rooms were clean and very pleasant with fans provided as well as the air con. Easy location, especially if your watching a match/event at Bramall lane FC
