Krissa Villa

We have just spent a beautiful week at Krissa Villa. The location is perfect for the beach, only a 5-10 minute walk away. 5 min walk away are a couple of tavernas and a great supermarket for everything you need. When we arrived, Mary and Mimis were there to greet us with a huge box of homemade lemon and walnut cake! The Villa is beautiful inside and out, everything you would need in the kitchen is provided including washing up liquid, tea towels etc. the fudge was stocked with milk, juice, bread, eggs, cheese, yogurt and more which meant we didn’t need to rush out and get some shopping. The air con works well and gets very cold which was much needed! The pool is fab and we had brought our own inflatables, but there were some which had been left by previous occupants. Being able to sit on the upper terrace to eat breakfast with the view down to the sea was such a lovely thing every day! Mimis and Mary were around during the week, maintaining the pool early in the morning etc, but they just blended into the background and were in no way imposing at all. They did however bring us a huge half of watermelon one day, and several baskets of fresh figs! I would absolutely recommend this Villa to anyone, you’ll have a fabulous time!

We had a wonderful time staying at Krissa Villa, all communication was excellent, the location was lovely, near to local amenities but quiet and very easy access to get anywhere on the island we wanted to go to. The family were wonderful hosts bringing us delicious cretian food every now and again. We loved our visit and highly recommend this villa and family. Thank you.

We booked this beautiful house for 11 days of holiday for our family. The booking process was smooth. Eleni helped us in an outstanding way before, during and after the holiday - also with additional needs (like airport transfer). The house is as beautiful and practical as described. We enjoyed the separate bed-/bathrooms, the well-equipped kitchen, the terrace with beautiful view and of course the pool. Mary and Mimis made sure we felt welcome in many ways - actually we almost felt like family. Overall, this was a very pleasant holiday; it looks like we will come back at some point. Thank you!! We just returned from Crete after having spent a week at Krissa Villa. We were 3 families (6 adults). With only one available online review, we decided to go with what we saw in the photos and description. We're glad we did! When we arrived at the villa, at 11:00 PM, the fridge was packed with the next day's morning breakfast (eggs, yogurt, home made jams from Mary's orchards, fresh bread, cheese, coffee etc.) and a full tray of sweets. It was such a pleasant surprise. The next day we were welcomed with another tray of home-made sweets. The house is very spacious, clean, and fully equipped. The villa's grounds have lots of olive trees and an orchard with various fruit trees. If you need something, Mary and Dimitri will take care of it right away. Although the beach is within minutes, we spent a lot of time at villa's pool which was periodically cleaned. During our stay we also asked Mary if she would cook for us traditional Greek food and she made Greek chicken with rice pilaf (enough for 2 days) and gemista (stuffed eggplants, bell peppers, zucchini and tomatoes) with barbeque chicken. Both super delicious! I highly recommend this place and the hosts. They definitely made our stay more enjoyable than we expected.
