Our room No 5 was big and very comfortable with good facilities. The inclusion of breakfast in the room was a nice thoughtful addition. We fully enjoyed the accommodation. The plumbing in the ensuite was a problem as we couldn't get the shower to provide a hot (or even lukewarm) shower by either of the lever or tap controls. The sink however provided very hot water and cold water ok, though if the sink stopper was pushed down it wouldn't come back up to empty the water in the basin. The stopper linkage mechanism below the basin needed adjustment to open it again. Parking in the road outside the Rooms was always full, and the car park along the road looked quite small initially. However, we discovered it continued across the road with many more parking spaces. Each day the first 2 hours were free of charge and daily charges thereafter very reasonable. Free parking overnight from 6pm. 1 final point: it should be pointed out the rooms are all on 1st floor and stair access is quite steep & narrow. We assisted a lone gentleman with a case and walking stick down the stairs so he could hold the stair rail (on either side). I hope this helps - no major criticisms at all as a very enjoyable and comfortable stay! Thank you!

We didn’t get the rooms since they where closed! No one answered the phone the day before orchestra day / evening we arrived. So we ended up back to the airport and the Novotel. Not happy at all and waist of money!!!

Beautiful property, charming interior and tasteful decor. The complimentary breakfast hamper is a pleasant touch.

Boiling hot room, water wouldn’t drain away in the shower, yoghurts in the fridge were out of date. Room was loud with path outside the window and the room upstairs.

What a lovely place to stay! Stayed here for a night for work nearby. The room was pretty, the bed super comfortable, the temperature lovely and cosy, the bathroom toiletries and bed linens all super high quality. Wi-Fi was strong and meant I could work. But best of all, they really had thought of everything in the room… a thoughtful and plentiful hamper of breakfast items and treats; a mini fridge with fresh milk, juice, water, fruit and chocolate; a hairdryer; and even a pretty stone coaster by the bed for your evening cuppa. The place where you stay is attached to/ above a brasserie; you can hear some noise from there but it’s very muffled so no impact on concentration or sleep and it was silent from 10.30pm. It’s quirky and pretty with little staircases and winding corridors and wooden slat doors. There’s a communal room downstairs before you go up to the rooms which has a big wooden dining table and chairs (and coffee maker etc) so if you wished to you could easily sit to eat or work there if you wanted to get away from your room. The village itself is pretty and there’s easy parking nearby (either free on the road outside or free or low cost - depending on time of day - in a public car park 3 mins walk away). A perfectly formed and really lovely find. If I’m back in the area again for work in future I will return (with enthusiasm!)
