The Golden Spur Hotel

No lighting outside room area was really dark ,no hand soap bed no comfortable .

Clean very big room, close to Bryce Canyon (35 min). All are ground floor with carparking infront of uour room. You get acces by sms/email. The toilet kept running and took forever to fill. (made me crazy) Tv is Roku without a manual. We prefer a normal tv. Would come again (toilet should be fixed by then ;-)

Easy check in and check out. Simple and clean accomodations for our one-night stay. Large room with a little table and chairs which was nice! Easy parking and very quiet area. The only issue was the toilet running on and off throughout the night, but we eventually fixed it.

Virtual check in was great - got in late so I didn’t have to worry about arriving at a certain time. Room was clean. Working ice machine was great as well. Can’t be the price!

Very nice rooms with lots of parking space. Quiet and in walking distance to many of the downtown amenities.

The room I got was one of the few located in the back of the building. I asked if I could change to a room in the parking lot but they said because I had booked online I couldn’t (even though there were many unbooked rooms) I had to park at the street to be even close to the room. I had to make multiple trips around the building to bring my stuff in and I didn’t like not being able to keep an eye on my vehicle during the night.

Good location, ready check in. Ice machine was not working.

I really really want to leave a 5 star review. The motel is so cute! The room was clean, parking was convenient and safe, and check in process was so easy. I have to knock a star off because the bed was just so uncomfortable. We stopped here on our trip to Arizona. We got in around 1230am, check in instructions and the door code had been sent to me earlier in the day. This made it really easy to grab what we needed and get to bed. It's an older motel and the doors are very thin - but there was no commotion and it stayed quiet throughout the night. The only downside with the room was that the mattress was just so uncomfortable. It is a springy mattress and the springs are literally right under the surface, ready to break through at any second. We had planned on heading out around 8 or 830 am, but after tossing and turning I couldn't handle it anymore. We were up and put by 645 - 7am. My children slept in the other bed, it had a little more padding over the springs, but a bar pushing through in the middle of the mattress that also made them uncomfortable. Great location, close to everything. Easy to map to. Easy to enter. My only suggestion is to get really thick mattress toppers or new matresses. Thank you for providing a safe and clean establishment. Wishing you luck on your motels journey! I would definitely stay here again in the future.

If you'd like, there is a plunger in the guest closet that you can use to clear it. Unfortunately, the parking lot lights near the benches are not functioning at the moment

We loved it except we could not find our room. We had to contract management. Turns out its hidden behind the back with no parking and no signs to direct you there. Tv was a problem too. Could only change channels with remote. Could not power on ir off or control the volume. A bit ridiculous for this day and age. Rooms are mostly updated and cute and clean. I would stay again. Great value.

Clean room but the flies are a lot

In many ways, I love this place. The staff (only available by phone) is courteous and helpful, even when I had to call at 1 am. They were very responsive, which was much appreciated as I stood outside in 12 degree weather after driving a U-Haul for hours. Also, the rates are very competitive and the rooms are exceptionally clean and adorably kitchy in their decor. The ONLY problems I had were that there is almost NO water pressure... only enough to flush the toilet if you hold it for a full 45 seconds with only liquid; not enough for a shower or a face wash or even a cup of water unless you fill it a fast drip at a time. And the beds aren't exactly comfy... I found them somewhat hard and lumpy. Having said this, I have stayed here 3 times!! (I keep forgetting the water and mattress thing.)

Where do I start? The room was nice looking, but that is it. The AC didn't work, there were ants on the floor, shower water wouldn't get very hot, faucet handles rotated backwards, and some lights didn't work. Room was nearly 74 degrees while we tried to sleep so I called customer service. He said it's too late to send a repair man, he wouldn't move us to another room but told me to just open the window. Seriously? Now I should allow the outside noise and light in, besides now posing a safety issue with only a thin screen to protect us? We will never go there again. It literally looked like NO maintenance was done here all year.

My work has me travel through the rural parts of Utah, I have stayed at the Golden Spur several times. The rooms are always clean. Check in is easy and no matter what time I get there the room is ready. Thank you for the convenience

Easy, convenient and updated rooms. The exterior looks like a regular (but charming!) drive in motel. Each room is updated with a modern keypad lock and themed rooms. Room was spotless, AC worked well and the bed was comfortable. The King room was also well equipped with a mini-fridge, microwave and TV. The slight downside is that the room was smaller than what was expected in photos, but it was not a big deal for me. There is no concierge on site and everything was done through phone (check-in, receiving access code to the room and any communication). Overall, great stay and would highly recommend!

It was really cold and dirty room

The room was very clean and large. Get bed, pillows and quilt. Would stay there again.

Incredibly clean rooms. Well maintained. They have this remote check in and check out thing down. Would definitely stay here again.

The HVAC system is inadequate. Poorly designed by modern standards. Not thermostatically controlled. The portable unit exhausts hot air back into the room?!?! Room temperature got to over 80 and I shut it off. The old wall unit was unplugged. I wasn't sure if it could be used. Tried it and it was unreliable. Very disappointed with our experience for these reasons. We stay in a lot of 2 to 3 star rated rooms and I'd have to put yours at the very bottom. I could not recommend it unless the HVAC issues are addressed. The room was very clean and in excellent condition. perhaps the mattress is starting to show some wear on the side I used. In order to use the TV, a Roku account or other streaming service.

Overall it was quick turn and burn. Only issue were nonsignificant due to short duration. Roku needed an account to watch TV. I do not have personal one thus no TV for us. Event weeks great. Easy entrance without front desk check-in was great. Room clean and well kept and very quiet. Will definitely stay here again next time I pass through

Newly remodeled rooms.

Room is smaller in actual and does not come with hair dryer. Remotely managed but they are prompt in replies. Stayed here to access Bryce NP. Cute small historic town.

Cute boutique motel. Easy to find, and easy to check in and out. Clean and looks like it was remodeled recently.

The no contact check in worked well. The room was clean and comfortable. There was a portable AC unit in the room that blew cold air but also vented back into the room so it was blowing hot air out the back. We set the temp to 75 but the room temperature showed 91.

Check in was fine. Room is ok. But there was no tv remote. Tv is connected to role but it was not connected to internet. Was told tv for this room is broken. Asked for another room, request denied.

AC wasn’t working properly. Room was clean and quiet.

A few things not working in room. No one on site to assist. Virtual check in only. Easy to get into room, but not great if you need anything dealt with. Room had some cute and modern updates. Did the trick for a quick stay. Clean and comfortable.

For an all online office? They were wonderfully attentive

This property has a virtual check in which suppose to provide room number and code to access the room. I made the reservation on the same day as my stay. I was not provided with the room number and code until 11:50 Pm. 9 hours after check in. I didn’t stay because of these. It’s a rip off, they have this reservation as non-refundable.

The staff responded quickly to my texts. I'm on more of a night schedule, so I wanted to check in as early as possible and get some rest in the afternoon before heading to Bryce for an evening hike. I was able to do all that and had a great time!

First, location is very bad right in front of the road, it's very noisy from vehicles at night.. can't sleep peacefully. Second, room service is a joke, no service what so ever. No face tissues, no body lotion, no additional toilet paper rolls, in spite of requesting nobody showed up. There were lots of ants everywhere. Upon requesting room service they just vacuumed the floor, no refills or cleaning the beds. Laughable part is they just placed towels on floor back on table and used our grocery store plastic bag for trash can. For the price around $250 per night, we could expect better service at the least.

Loved that it was self check in. Very clean, comfortable, good location close to Bryce

The property is an updated vintage motel that is low priced and convenient. Having travelled there are a few things that I have come to expect. There is no chair or table in case you want to have a meal in your room. TV is through Roku so there are no local channels to see the weather report. Of course you can use internet but that isnt as good if you are planning to be hiking or other out door activity. Also I should have not expected a plush bed but I have slept on better camp cots. I am getting older so sleeping wrong will leave me all kinked up. This was nice and convenient. But is better for younger people.

Inexpensive and close to Red Canyon and Bryce Canyon NP

Easy access to main highway into town. Close to the barbecue restaurant!

Très correct dans l’ensemble pour une nuit d’étape. Arrivée totalement autonome (vous recevez un code via sms pour l’ouverture de la porte). Il faudra anticiper pour se restaurer car il n’y a pas beaucoup de choix aux alentours. À moins de 40 min de Red et Bryce Canyon.

Clean motel, great for passers through seeing Bryce Canyon, can recommend for family with small kids

The Golden Spur in Panguitch City offers a quiet, clean place to stay in town. It is conveniently located. I have stayed at the Golden Spur on several occasions while working in the area.
