We waited 30 minutes to get into the building. It locks down at 9p and the service desk closes too. I had to call from the outside to get someone to come down and open up to check us in. The lobby bathroom was locked too. We went to our room and an hour later someone near us started playing very loud music and yelling. There was a party going on. We called the desk and they said they would be right up. Right. It lasted until 2 am. We left at 11 am.

We waited 30 minutes to get into the building. It locks down at 9p and the service desk closes too. I had to call from the outside to get someone to come down and open up to check us in. The lobby bathroom was locked too. We went to our room and an hour later someone near us started playing very loud music and yelling. There was a party going on. We called the desk and they said they would be right up. Right. It lasted until 2 am. We left at 11 am.

The hotel is brand new very clean , but it lack some amenities, no coffee pot in room or in lobby only 1 vending machine, and after 8 in evening no staff that we seen and the front desk did not open till 11 .

The hotel is new but amenities are non existing. No Iron in the room and when I went to the front desk to get one they were closed until 10am the next day. We couldn't get clean towels either. I will NEVER stay at this hotel or chain if this is their policy.

The hotel looks new on the outside, but inside looked worn with dings in the wall paint and stains on the floor. The staff was courteous and attentive. Our room was clean and comfortable and we enjoyed being able to fix simple meals in the kitchenette. We were uncomfortable in the parking lot with random people hanging out in their cars. We also had a homeless person try to enter the hotel behind us on our key card. Close to the hospital, but still not the best neighborhood. We'll stay somewhere else next time we come to Winston Salem.

The room was mostly clean but not cleaned well enough. I don't need "white glove" clean. Just decent effort to make things comfortable for me when I arrive. I found a open bag of "Funions" behind a chair in the corner of the room where the room picture (in the advert) was taken from.

After being on the road for 10 hours, we wanted to come to our hotel and relax. As we arrived, I was told that my room wasn’t available after I said we paid ahead of time. After them finally finding a note with my name on it, attitude change to being nice. When we finally got into our room, we obviously looked around to see what we were working with. As we noticed, the hotel room as not clean. There was hair on the bed, shower, and inside the fridge. This hotel is highly rated so this was nothing I was expecting. The one good thing I could say about this place is, the manager did hear me out and I’m working on getting things situated and fixed.

This is a pretty new facility but it will be run down soon as the staff is not very attentive and not available. Rooms come with a kitchen but no kitchen essentials to use. Got there at 4:30 and my room was not ready. Internet was spotting at best and it kept causing the TV to reset constantly. Description online is not accurate at all

My experience was not as good as I had expected from my past stays with the WoodSpring Suites in other locations. The staff were impeccably friendly but the stay was average. Needing to request a new remote for my room after being unable to locate one upon checkin, and finding that the shower pressure was unfortunately not the stereotypical "hotel shower" experience. Otherwise i enjoyed my stay, the room was cozy, easily adjustable to comfy temps, and the bed was very comfortable.

It was a good stay. However there was no hot water in the shower. Also the rear parking lot entrance door rarely shut and lock which defeats the purpose of the need to use a key card to gain access to the building. Furthermore, there was a lingering odor of marijuana in the building amd parking lot.

The hotel was brand new when we stayed there in July of 2024. Even though it was brand new it wasn't a hotel for us. We do not like staying in a hotel with no carpet plus no housekeeping we were told unless you stay 6-7 days! I will list our pros & cons: Pros - Good free parking, nice front desk persin, good secure outer doors, nice TV, the shower, bathroom liggting & mirror were good, hot water, new refrigerator with ice trays & new stove. The hotel is straight across from the hospital & near stores. Cons - No housekeeping, no breakfast, no carpeting, no coffee maker, coffee, tea, no hand towels, kleenex, paper towels, silverware, dishes. The mattress cover was uncomfortable & moved across the bed, the bed was not comfortable & the pillows were too high so we didn't sleep good for 3 nights. There were also a number of police sirens.

Shower water warm at best Front desk person disappears after 8pm and said they were coming back with sign; tried again at 9:30 and still no one. So I could not get extra towels. No front desk person also at checkout Bed was uncomfortable, pillows hard. Bed was squeaking. Hallway smelled funny.

Hotel staff did not allow us to check in because, despite having a reservation confirmation via Hotels.com, there was no record of our reservation and hotel was booked. Staff were less than helpful and given weekend events, we were not able to find an available room.

Check in was horrible. The guy didn’t know what he was doing, I had to ask twice to get my id back and it was clear he was high out of his mind. Lights didn’t work bc breaker was off, tv wouldn’t work or connect to dish or any streaming service and it was insanely loud. I’m incredibly disappointed

Dirty cleaning towels were left in the bathroom. Front desk check in was high with eyes red, couldn’t find keys to make room keys for 30 min, manager was bad tempered, zero customer service skill. Doors were locked and front desk employee weren’t present until we called.

Everyone who worked here for the past week was amazing and should be noticed. When we called ahead to find a room because we had construction in our apartment, we mentioned that we had chemical sensitivities so we were trying to stay away from scents. When we arrived, the front desk woman had already taken initiative to check out the room ahead of time, realize it smelled like dog from the last guest and changed our suite to another room with zero fanfare. The hotel itself also didn’t have fake scents and cleaner smells everywhere! Then when we needed maintenance done, they fixed everything quickly. Fresh towels when we needed them. Answered the staff phone cheerfully and quickly. When we needed extra pillows; the evening staff said he would get them for us. An hour later I called back and asked if he had had time to get them; he said he would be right over: he had washed and dried fresh pillows for us just in case our sensitivities would be triggered. Lastly, we had to leave and then re-check in due to the landlord messing up and then dealing with mold. The staff went around each room that qualified for what we needed and smelled it, and even pushed our check out time from 11am to 3pm with no charge when we were waiting for an air bnb since we couldn’t go back in our house. I have been treated with more consideration here than at a $250 Marriott or Sheraton. I will recommend this hotel to anyone coming here. You made an incredibly stressful time so much smoother. Thank you!

The staff went around each room that qualified for what we needed and smelled it, and even pushed our check out time from 11am to 3pm with no charge when we were waiting for an air bnb since we couldn’t go back in our house. I have been treated with more consideration here than at a $250 Marriott or Sheraton. I will recommend this hotel to anyone coming here. You made an incredibly stressful time so much smoother. Thank you!

The hotel is new but amenities are non existing. No Iron in the room and when I went to the front desk to get one they were closed until 10am the next day. We couldn't get clean towels either. I will NEVER stay at this hotel or chain if this is their policy.

Front desk Staff is wonderful! Watched a drug deal happen behind the hotel building on their property. 4th floor near Elevator smells nasty of marijuana. Fire Alarms went off same night as the drug purchase!! Building in general smells but you can see Staff is trying to keep it clean. Location next to Hanes Mall which is great

This place is advertised as a hotel, but it has no amenities. The bed linens were very cheap. The TV service (Dish) had intermittent signal. The AC was difficult to control. The hotel seems to be in a sketchy part of town with sketchy people around outside. I think I saw one drug deal going down. One night was disturbed by excessive noise. This was not at all the experience I was expecting. Based on everything I saw and experienced, the place is being used as a shelter for homeless people. I admire the city for doing this, but Hotels.com should not be advertising this property as a bona fide hotel for unsuspecting out-of-town guests (like us).

The hotel looks new on the outside, but inside looked worn with dings in the wall paint and stains on the floor. The staff was courteous and attentive. Our room was clean and comfortable and we enjoyed being able to fix simple meals in the kitchenette. We were uncomfortable in the parking lot with random people hanging out in their cars. We also had a homeless person try to enter the hotel behind us on our key card. Close to the hospital, but still not the best neighborhood. We'll stay somewhere else next time we come to Winston Salem.

The location is excellent across from hospital, check in clerk was pleasant.We went to our floor,stepped of elevator was hit with a smell of some kind of smoke..A person was standing in the hall on the phone right in front of our door..This is for what its used for extended stay..Those that need shelter...We left immediately and went to Hampton Inn near by...We were a family member in hospital and had decided to stayover..We could see the hotel from the patient window but no comparison to Hampton or any I usually stay...It need a overall..Its needed its across from the hospital...

Go in knowing this is a bare-bones extended-stay property, not a traditional hotel. That said, even by budget standards it fell short. My room came with one towel, one sheet, and one bar of soap. That was it. No washcloth, no shampoo, no blanket, no comforter, no paper towels, no silverware, no water pitcher, and no coffee maker. There is no coffee or water available in the lobby either. The only water source I found was a fountain in the fitness center, and not even a bottle filler. Lobby access is very limited. You can only get in during a short window, roughly 11am to 2pm. Outside those hours you have to wait for someone to arrive, unlock the door, and open the gated window. Plan any front desk needs around that, including check-in. The WiFi is unusably slow, around 10mbps. You cannot even watch an Instagram short. Basic email might work if nothing is urgent and there are no images, but Teams and Zoom would not even log in. If you need to work remotely, do not count on the internet here. The room was billed as having a double bed, but one side was pushed against the wall, so realistically only one person can sleep in it. If you are booking for two, keep that in mind. The fitness center was dark and essentially empty. No free weights, no mats, no bench, just the water fountain. Smoke odor (of all varieties) in supposedly non-smoking rooms and common areas.

The BAD: the beds are worn out and so are the pillows. After 2 nights sleeping on the “mattress,” I could barely walk because of hip pain but had to tough it out the rest of my stay because they would not offer a refund for the remaining nights. The UGLY: the walls and floors are tissue paper thin. You WILL hear your neighbors pillow talk at all hours. You will not sleep in this hotel.
