The property was very interesting. Ancient facility with upgraded amenities. Staff was excellent, the room was clean. Negotiating two sets of stairs with luggage was a bit of a challenge. Location in Montepulciano was perfect. Lots of restaurants nearby.

While the place is really nice, perched at the top of the village with incredible views, we had the pleasure or misfortune of staying there during the festive season. The festivities were wonderful but one of the the reasons we booked this place was for the parking knowing that parking is a challenge. With the festivities the road through the town was closed. The first night, the staff brought our car up in the middle of the night. The second night we left our car down the hill in one of the public parking lots. The staff was wonderful and the place great. I would recommend staying there. Just be forwarded that if you are there in late August, parking may be more challenging than you would normally expect.

We had a wonderful stay at La Locanda. The hotel hotel is well run and maintained. The views from the rooms and the piazza out front are spectacular. There are many great places to eat and drink in town, and the hotel was in a great location to get around by foot. The parking lot was safe and convenient, and the drive through the narrow streets in and out of town was an adventure!

There is a bar/restaurant attached so that’s very convenient for the afternoon drinks. Parking is further away but you can drive up to the hotel and the manager will take the car to the parking lot for you. We really enjoyed our stay in Montepulciano for a couple of nights!

This is the most charming boutique hotel, in one of the most beautiful towns in all of Italy. It sits right near the top of the hill, and overlooks the Tuscan Hills. The sunset view is truly breathtaking. The rooms are so clean, the window views of the valley are stunning, and their restaurant is quite delicious!! I’m a widow and this was my first vacation alone, in thirty-five years. They staff at La Locanda were gracious, very helpful, and tried their best to ensure everything was going well for all their patrons. From the young man that checked me in and carried my way over-packed suitcase upstairs, to the lovely young ladies at breakfast, and a favorite that checked me out upon leaving…Thank You! Thank you for making my stay in Montepulciano so very special. You had no idea my heart was shattered, but your attention to detail and your kindness was endless. From this solo traveler, grazie mille.

Luca and the staff were very friendly and welcoming during my stay. They accommodated me with an early arrival and a late departure. The service in the wine bar was outstanding and the food was delicious! I was very comfortable in the Locanda. I really enjoyed my stay.

Location is GREAT. Get a room with a view. Restaurant and bar are really good. Sit..eat…drink overlooking the beautiful countryside. Finding the parking is tough. Victor is terrific…he is service and action oriented. He alone would have me say the service was excellent. However, all others were also very good. Great two nights and would highly recommend.

Before travelling to Italy we tried to contact the property several times through Expedia and through their email address. We never received a response. Our home was flooded by a hurricane in FL. We contacted the hotel asking if they would refund our costs or provide us a credit for the future. They said we had to contact Expedia as that is how we made the reservation. I contacted Expedia who then contacted the property and they denied our request. We had to fly home from our vacation to a flooded home and and the hotel would do nothing to help. We paid for our room and now Expedia does not want my review to be posted. I had interactions with the hotel and my review should be posted as my experience was very poor. I would not stay here. Poor service

Great location to explore Montepulciano and the surrounding area. Lovely views from the room. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Enjoyed hanging out at the wine bar downstairs after a long day. Wold definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay at La Locanda. The hotel hotel is well run and maintained. The views from the rooms and the piazza out front are spectacular. There are many great places to eat and drink in town, and the hotel was in a great location to get around by foot. The parking lot was safe and convenient, and the drive through the narrow streets in and out of town was an adventure!

Very cute boutique hotel in a great location in Montepulciano. The price was great for how big and comfortable rooms are. There is a bar/restaurant attached so that’s very convenient for the afternoon drinks. Parking is further away but you can drive up to the hotel and the manager will take the car to the parking lot for you. We really enjoyed our stay in Montepulciano for a couple of nights!

Luca and the staff were very friendly and welcoming during my stay. They accommodated me with an early arrival and a late departure. The service in the wine bar was outstanding and the food was delicious! I was very comfortable in the Locanda. I really enjoyed my stay.

Location is GREAT. Get a room with a view. Restaurant and bar are really good. Sit..eat…drink overlooking the beautiful countryside. Finding the parking is tough. Victor is terrific…he is service and action oriented. He alone would have me say the service was excellent. However, all others were also very good. Great two nights and would highly recommend.

We had a lovely stay. The room was large with great views from each side of the room. Breakfast was excellent with some items made to order. Service was outstanding. We would stay there again.

This is the most charming boutique hotel, in one of the most beautiful towns in all of Italy. It sits right near the top of the hill, and overlooks the Tuscan Hills. The sunset view is truly breathtaking. The rooms are so clean, the window views of the valley are stunning, and their restaurant is quite delicious!! I’m a widow and this was my first vacation alone, in thirty-five years. They staff at La Locanda were gracious, very helpful, and tried their best to ensure everything was going well for all their patrons. From the young man that checked me in and carried my way over-packed suitcase upstairs, to the lovely young ladies at breakfast, and a favorite that checked me out upon leaving…Thank You! Thank you for making my stay in Montepulciano so very special. You had no idea my heart was shattered, but your attention to detail and your kindness was endless. From this solo traveler, grazie mille.

Very friendly staff. The owner Luka was very helpful towards ourselves ( for parking in other cities ) and also putting himself out to help other guests. Downstairs bar had a very good vibe going, with very good food. Hotel and breakfast were excellent

The property was exactly as described. The building is old but the bathroom was brand new and lovely and the views were fantastic. The little bar and restaurant are great for views and drinks. Finding the car park and coordinating that was harder than expected. it was hard to reach anyone prior to arrival. After arrival however, the young woman who checked us in was very helpful and lovely and went above and beyond to resolve the parking issue.

Parking right outside, wonderful views out of each of our windows! Excellent location for walking to the square, restaurants and wine shops. Hosts very friendly particularly for breakfast which was varied and immaculately presented.

Beautiful beautiful! You will not be disappointed here because the views exclaim God's beauty. Now, if I had problems with walking up and down steep hills this is not where I would come. The delicious food, breakfast, lunch or dinner was on point every day. Good linens with anything you should need for a luxury stay. Happy hour on the deck or at the piazza each night was a treat. Thank you to Luca and all the women who make this place somewhere I would recommend to a friend. Also, perfect for wine tastings at De Ricci and local wineries and towns for day visits with lots of shopping in Montepulciano as well.
