Lovely hotel and great service! You can buy cocktails 2 for £15 on the vouchers which are fairly good value. Breakfast was amazing and varied with gluten free options too! Only issue was having to get two lifts and navigate labyrinthine corridors to get to room on 7th floor.

Great hotel with nice location, and the room was big. Would not recommend staying in the printworks section of the hotel, which is where my room was located. It was difficult to find and is served by only one lift (which was under maintenance one day when i wanted to go up to my room)

nice place to stay in Bristol if you want to be in town where everything is. Parking was a little tricky, but overall the hotel was excellent after we first went to a not so nice place south of town. We were saved by finding this place on hotels.com at the last minute!

Great hotel with very easy access to the city. Very quiet at night and also has a very impressive reception/bar area with lots of places to sit and relax with a drink. Parking is discounted at two of the near by NCP if you get a ticket from reception. Restaurant had a great selection for breakfast but can be very busy at peak times.

East location, large rooms checked in online but getting a room key seemed to take forever due to systems I guess! Facilities are good, NCP car park round the corner but back way walk is past bins, dirty backstreets and grotty alley ways which is a shame.. not the hotels fault but to recommend this car park isn’t ideal

Easy check in & excellent room. Clean, quite large, quiet with large comfy bed. Shower was also great and powerful. City centre location (near restaurants and venues) was a plus although parking was slightly problematic and relatively expensive although not linked to the Clayton Hotel

Good location and nice enough inside. Didnt use the bar or resturant. A couple critism. No shower gel. Called reception and after 30 mins nothing even though house keeping were doing other rooms. Came back 8 hours later. Still not filled up. Third time, finally it was sorted. The double bed was ridiculously small. We had another single in the room, even though we booked a double. Room wasnt terrible but got have been cleamer. Carpets were stained and the bathroom was ok. Not really worth the money.

From the minute you step in to the Clayton you know it’s going to be good. The foyer is bright with a great vibe. The staff are very polite and helpful. But above all the whole establishment is immaculate. The rooms are a good size, very comfortable bed with quality linen. The en suite is mega clean and tidy. All in all you just can’t fault the place.

Lovely Hotel in a great central location, Nice friendly staff. We were let down by the sub standard room cleaning on the 2nd day. Cleaner failed to empty bins in bedroom and bathroom. Shower screen left with marks, Bathroom sink plug left out. Used coffee cups left in room, coffee pods not replaced. Noticed a lot dust flying in the room, unsure if this was coming from the air conditioning vent.

The location of the hotel is great, the staff a friendly. The room could have been cleaner and there were some stains on the bed toppers. The shower was intermittently only a trickle (8am so busy times) but I did not have this issue on a previous visit. I will visit one more time before deciding final verdict.

Nice hotel, comfy bed found the toilet roll not the nicest and some unclean qualities like a brown stain on the dressing gown and breakfast plates was a bit unclean. Little bit confused about breakfast pricing as I paid nearly £90 for breakfast to be included to find out at checkout that I only paid for breakfast for 1 person and had to pay an additional £24 which doesn't really make sense. And not sure why as I had planned to have breakfast both stays.

The room was not clean - lots of mysterious stains on the cushions and furniture. The floors hadn’t been hoovered properly and we were missing some of the essentials, which we had to call down for.

Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Not badgered by staff, left to do your own thing which is important to us. We were at the front of thr hotel and in the night it can be busy and smoky. Air con didnt work throughout the night which was dissapointing but they did leave fanta lemon and vimto in the fridge so thats a win!

No heating after midnight. Pressed every button and the heater kept saying "off". Didn't want to ring the reception - it was past midnight and just wanted to sleep. The point is that a 4 star hotel shouldn't have this kind of problem in the 1st place. We pay money so that we don't discover this kind of school boy problems after midnight!

The hotel is very clean and well maintained. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Good location in the centre of Bristol. The only negatives were that the bed is a small double so lot much space for two, and there is ventilation that is noisy in the room that cannot be turned off that kept us up at night. I would not recommend this hotel for light sleepers due to the noise. Other than this, everything was great.

The hotel is nice and in a good location. The room was described as a deluxe double, what it didn't say was that it was an internal room with no window to outdoors so no natural light at all or air. It was very claustrophobic. The pillows were very uncomfortable, they were huge and felt like two on top of each other. The second night I put the cushion insert into my pillowcase in place of the pillow. I'd chosen this room thinking it was a bit of an upgrade from where we had stayed before at The Bristol Hotel. It wasn't the right choice for us. Maybe if you were just going to be there for one night or not in the room much.

Located in the heart of the old town, great location. Room is on the small side, but new and modern. However, coffee pods and cotton pads were not refilled during housekeeping (When we called the front desk the hotel staff was kind enough to bring new coffee pods to the room). No complimentary drinking water supplied. Staff were lovely, but overall the amenity side felt like a budget hotel.

My heavily pregnant wife arrived 30 minutes early and asked if it was possible to check in early or if they had private meeting facilities. She was told there would be a £50 charge to check in 30 minutes early and that there were no private meeting facilities. Not only was this not true but also hugely discourteous. We were directed to our room which was up 2 seperate elevators due to being in seemingly a seperate building (The Printwoks?) hugely confusing layout paired with initial check-in which involved around 6 staff chatting while we waited to finally get checked in long after the check-in date. After walking past some of the rooms it was obvious the opportunity to switch our room (on the 9th floor) was entirely untrue but also after getting lost in the confusing second lift to the exit on the 2nd floor we found the private meeting rooms also. Room was clean and looked modern and well furnished although half the channels on the TV did not work. When waiting in the lobby following checkout my wife asked for some soda water which came to £5.50. When enquiring how such a price was arrived at she was told that coke is also £5.50. This justification is abhorent to me. Beautiful building marred by poor management, unhelpful staff and confusing layout, presumably due to corporate greed.Will not stay at a Clayton Hotel again.

Hotels.com and the hotel had difficulty with the booking information. Although the staff saw the hotels.com booking they didn’t want to allow us to have a room as they couldn’t find the booking. After 15 minutes they sent us to the bar to wait and wouldn’t let us have access to the room. After asking 3 times we were allowed access to the room as long as we sent the receipt via email. Now 40 minutes behind we weren't able to shower properly before our restaurant booking for our first anniversary. We then had a call saying I hadn’t sent the email, when I showed the desk my phone they confirmed it had sent but they hadn’t received it. The trip was supposed to be an amazing first anniversary, but resulted in a sweaty stressful rush due to the Clayton’s priority in handling their & their agents paperwork over the customer experience, ironic for our paper anniversary. Ultimately they did allow us into the room, but I really don’t feel the customer service experience was aligned to prioritise the customers, I miss pre covid when hospitality truly valued the customers.

Now 40 minutes behind we weren't able to shower properly before our restaurant booking for our first anniversary. We then had a call saying I hadn’t sent the email, when I showed the desk my phone they confirmed it had sent but they hadn’t received it. The trip was supposed to be an amazing first anniversary, but resulted in a sweaty stressful rush due to the Clayton’s priority in handling their & their agents paperwork over the customer experience, ironic for our paper anniversary. Ultimately they did allow us into the room, but I really don’t feel the customer service experience was aligned to prioritise the customers, I miss pre covid when hospitality truly valued the customers.

The hotel comprises of 2/3 buildings with our room, and many others, being 2 elevator joirneys and a lengthy walk from the reception and only entrance/exit. There was a Chromecast, but this required resetting several times in order to work and would cease working after a period of time.

Calling the reception desk for toothpaste, I was requested to go downstairs to them and pick it up ... terrible service....and it takes me a very long walk to the lift every time. Not recommended. Breakfast very limited range of food. Coffee machine was cheap one.

My wife and I had a wonderful two nights stay at this place. The staff were amazing and friendly, the breakfast was delicious, the room was pristinely clean and the bed was super comfortable. Will certainly go back!

I just love this hotel. It's so quiet and comfortable. The staff are friendly and welcoming and if you take advantage of the online check-in you get a text when your room is ready. Mine was available 2 hours before the official check in time which was brilliant. The foyer and bar area are comfortable and you can charge phones and laptops there. The beds are the best. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Bristol. Love it

Stayed here after a cruise and before the F1 race. Great location in the old town. It was fun walking around, parked in nearby car park. tons of restaurants around and right near a Primark. Large shopping mall nearby. Left the car in car park and walked around easier than driving.

Overnight stay , hotel was lovely, clean, comfortable, great food and friendly staff. Although only a short walk into the main drag it was also beautifuly quiet. Will definitely stay here on our next visit.

We loved staying here & the situation is perfect for a visit to The Hippodrome, strolling along the waterfront for a leisurely lunch, an easy walk to Cabot Circus & easy access to buses. We will recommend it & hopefully return in the future.

Lovely hotel and great service! You can buy cocktails 2 for £15 on the vouchers which are fairly good value. Breakfast was amazing and varied with gluten free options too! Only issue was having to get two lifts and navigate labyrinthine corridors to get to room on 7th floor.

I had a very nice stay here last year and so recommended it to our reiss who we were meeting also. Parking was a nightmare due to road closures for the Remembrance Day parade the following day, I called the hotel but they were no help on alternative parking. Breakfast was poor - we went at 9am and things had run out and were not being replaced, I asked the Maitre D for more geeek yoghurt which never arrived, the cooked breakfast was cold and there was no scrambled egg. We both received the check in email on the following evening! Room was lovely and comfy, clean and very quiet but I was disappointed by the service.

Stylish and modern hotel, clean and tidy during my visit. My greeting by the reception staff was good and explained everything that i needed to know. Room was lovely, clean, comfortable and well maintained. If i was being picky, an extra chair would have been beneficial. Bar and restaurant were fab and the staff attentive. No fault of the hotel but the lack of parking on site means using very expensive local NCP (the hotel did have a discount card to reduce your parking charges, but longer stays are still expensive).

When we checked into our room it absolutely stank of cigarettes so we assumed the guest prior to us had been smoking in the room as particularly the bathroom was bad! Before popping down we opened a window and left our room to go out to dinner, upon return the smell was still just as bad so popped down to reception to speak to one of the staff. She was absolutely lovely but unfortunately they couldn’t do anything as apparently the rooms were all taken and in fact they were overbooked. Although I was hoping for a room move due to the smell, even housekeeping coming in to see if they could help at all wouldn’t have gone a miss. We spent just shy of £200 for one night and it absolutely stank of cigarettes! If you’re a smoker and reading this.. please don’t smoke in rooms, it ruins it for later guests.
