WoodSpring Suites Kansas City Airport

This isn't a real hotel. Most of the guests are sketchy locals who aren't paying for their rooms themselves. There was no soap in the room, nor was there an iron. I had to go to the front desk for both. The walls and doors are super thin and there's loud conversation by men standing outside your room. The "free Wi-Fi" is misleading -- it's extremely slow, less than 1 Mbps, actually 750 kbps. You can't stream with it or easily load modern websites. At best you can retrieve emails, slowly. I haven't seen internet this slow in over 25 years. Again, it's not a real hotel. It has none of the things a real hotel has -- a person at the front desk, soap and irons in the rooms, usable internet, a pen and writing pad in the room, etc.

WE DID NOT STAY AT THE WOODSPRIINGS HOTEL. THEY OVERBOOKED AND GOT US A ROOM AT THE QUALITY INN....NEVER AGAIN. QUALITY INN WAS ANYTING BUT.... WE WILL NOT USE HOTEL.COM AT ALL IN THE FUTURE. THANKS

Someone came into our room in the middle of the night and turned on the lights. When I called the front desk to inquire on why that occurred they said that my room was marked unoccupied and they were doing room checks. Never an apology, she tried to say that they didn’t open the door because of the latch however the latch was not on, my mistake, and the door fully opened and they were able to turn on the lights so they lied. No apology was given and at checkout we were never asked about our stay. Also, a loud and what sounded like a dangerous altercation happened in front of our door shortly after the door opened and the staff never came up or officers were never called. I didn’t sleep at all that night because I felt unsafe and needed to be alert to protect my daughter. The check-in was also strange and the person who checked me in did not know what he was doing clearly as he left our room in an unoccupied status.
