After a small hic cup with our expedia booking on arrival, everything was great. Great outdoor space, we had a cabin over looking the river , which was perfect. Very very peaceful! Plenty of walking and biking opportunities at close hand. To see the rest of Kingston, or go to a restaurant off site, a car is needed. There is free coffee in the cabin, but the refrigerator is full of cold drinks and snacks. If a TV is important to you, the cabins are not for you!

Unaccommodating, overpriced, and a total disappointment. My wife and I had been looking forward to staying since it opened a few years back and thought Christmas might be the perfect excuse to go. Upon arrival- we realized just how tiny the Queen Size cabins were with our 2 large dogs, but figured we could just ask to be switched to one of the larger Kind cabins since there were only 4 (four) other guests staying on the property. But we were flatly denied- no option to pay the difference for the larger room or complimentary upgrade as other hotels would do- Merry Christmas right lol. They said because we booked through a third party (hotels.com) they couldn't make any changes to our reservation. This is after the hotel had called multiple times and asked us to please get massages (which we did- and which were $200/massage poorly sprent) and we had made reservations for the Christmas Eve prix fixe dinner (the restaurant is beautiful, the food is mid). Definitely left a bad taste in our mouths walking around the property and seeing nobody in the large cabins. There's no maid service, and they don't do any of the fun things in the winter like s'mores. Also for being a "dog friendly" hotel there is no dog run or fenced in area for them to go off leash. We decided to cut our stay short as we would be happier at home, and the front desk manager called me and said he would refund the last night of our stay. Then he took it back via email bc we booked through hotels.com

The property itself is beautiful. The cabins are lovely. The amenities were lacking. I guess it's the time of the year where they're moving their operations indoors, but there was no restaurant available for the time frame we were there and you definitely need to drive back to Town For Any Other things you may need.

Beautiful and well kept location with stunning views of the Hudson River. Equipped with bikes to use on the Empire State Trail, saunas, and firepits to knock the chill off while relaxing by the river. I only wish the restaurant was open every day; we never made it to breakfast in the sunroom at the mansion, but we drove in to town which was five minutes away. We enjoyed Rosie’s general store for breakfast/brunch and Ole Savanah’s had great fried chicken and brussel sprouts!

Very unique property centrally located to explore the Catskills area. Kingston is a nice little town with a lot of great restaurants. You can hike in the adjacent state park along the Hudson from the property or hike in the Catskills 30 minutes out. Quiet relaxing property.

Wonderful re-imaganing of the old brick yards. The grounds are gorgeous and our forest queen cabin was very cozy, romantic, clean, and comfortable. Loved the deck with both a picnic table and adorondack chairs. Nice use of small space and appreciate the touches like a lantern, wine glasses and opener, speaker, fridge. No TV- which is a good thing. It should be all about connecting with your partner or nature. Only downside is the restaurant isnt open Sun- Wed for dinner. Looking forward to going back in Sept!

It is definietly over rated. Way too expensive for what it is. It listed the bar and many other things and non of that was available. Really no amneties to have and if you want breakfast you need to leave the area. I mean it makes no sense

This place is unique with comfy cabins, a delicious open air bar and restaurant and lovely grounds. Having the Empire Trail right there for biking and walking was such a bonus.The riverside view and fire pits just added to the relaxing ambiance. We will be back!

We stayed in a brand new queen unit which is actually a small trailer. The newness was off-gassing so that it smelled of newness. It was so small that it was uncomfortable-hardly any space beside the bed and the bathroom was so small I skipped a shower. The units are jammed into one area and so close together that a person talking next door could be easily heard.

Great accommodations but bad service. They clearly threw in a lot of money to build this without thinking about the guest experience. Check in is at a different location and this is not mentioned anywhere and no one picks up the phone ever. We waited by the gate to the property while calling and trying to understand where to check in. Then we ended up leaving the car outside and just walking into the property until we ran into an employee who told us the address for check-in. All this took 30 mins and can be easily avoided by updating the sign at the entrance and also sending instructions by email. The staff is very young and when I complained I was told “yes, it’s confusing” instead of showing any desire to fix this for future guests. My other complain is that for the price I would expect a better breakfast and overall attention to detail. The hotel area is far from everything so they should have a full minibar with snacks and drinks. Also, the coffee makers in the room could be better quality. The room was pristine clean, everything seemed new or in great condition.

Beautiful property, quiet w lush views of the Hudson River. Staff was courteous and helpful. Breakfast could be improved. Room was very small compared to price point. But would we stay again? Definitely. Very convenient to Rhinebeck and CAKEpalooza.

Beautiful location, previously a working brickyard, on the river with huge spaces to explore and staff who go out of their way to be helpful. Also seemed very kid and dog friendly property. The queen cabin is a like a tiny house - very small but incredible view and perfect a/c - much needed respite from humidity in summer!

The queen cabin over looking the river is just so quaint . The restaurant was open and steak salad was unbelievable. The property is beautiful. The most dog friendly place ever.

Nice spot for a weekend getaway. Service is slow in the winter but staff is very friendly and helpful. We had a little issue and they were able to solve it for us pretty quick. Would be nice to visit when weather gets warm again.

Beautiful, unique, peaceful property. There was a lack of information & instruction as to where to check in. Spotty phone connection didn't help. Google maps sent me to the waterfront instead of the mansion and when I finally figured out where it was, the tiny sign barely helped, then there was limited parking near the mansion and the door was locked. Both property restaurants were closed the 2 nights I was there. Breakfast was minimal and there wasn't even any decaf coffee the second day. I wanted to schedule a massage but couldn't comply with 24 hour ahead reservation rule, since I didn't know about that. Once got my bearings everything was fine, but I couldn't enjoy many ammenities the property has to offer and it was downright stressful trying to figure out how anything functioned. I saw about 4 employees in 2 days. It was peaceful which is what I needed, but there really should be an office down by the waterfront to assist those guests.
Beautiful, unique, peaceful property. There was a lack of information & instruction as to where to check in. Spotty phone connection didn't help. Google maps sent me to the waterfront instead of the mansion and when I finally figured out where it was, the tiny sign barely helped, then there was limited parking near the mansion and the door was locked. Both property restaurants were closed the 2 nights I was there. Breakfast was minimal and there wasn't even any decaf coffee the second day. Unaccommodating, overpriced, and a total disappointment. My wife and I had been looking forward to staying since it opened a few years back and thought Christmas might be the perfect excuse to go. Upon arrival- we realized just how tiny the Queen Size cabins were with our 2 large dogs, but figured we could just ask to be switched to one of the larger Kind cabins since there were only 4 (four) other guests staying on the property. But we were flatly denied- no option to pay the difference for the larger room or complimentary upgrade as other hotels would do- Merry Christmas right lol. They said because we booked through a third party (hotels.com) they couldn't make any changes to our reservation. This is after the hotel had called multiple times and asked us to please get massages (which we did- and which were $200/massage poorly sprent) and we had made reservations for the Christmas Eve prix fixe dinner (the restaurant is beautiful, the food is mid). Definitely left a bad taste in our mouths walking around the property and seeing nobody in the large cabins. There's no maid service, and they don't do any of the fun things in the winter like s'mores. Also for being a "dog friendly" hotel there is no dog run or fenced in area for them to go off leash. We decided to cut our stay short as we would be happier at home, and the front desk manager called me and said he would refund the last night of our stay. Then he took it back via email bc we booked through hotels.com

Beautiful location, previously a working brickyard, on the river with huge spaces to explore and staff who go out of their way to be helpful. Also seemed very kid and dog friendly property. The queen cabin is a like a tiny house - very small but incredible view and perfect a/c - much needed respite from humidity in summer!

Really liked reuse of old industrial site. Cabin cosy and bright. Staff help excellent. Think they should consider more hot food for breakfast in the autumn, it gets quite cold in the morning. Still loved it as a place.

The property is unique and beautiful. We loved it. The folks who work the gate could be better informed but everything worked out fine. The breakfast was first rate. We want to return, and plan it so we can eat at the restaurant.

Great accommodations but bad service. They clearly threw in a lot of money to build this without thinking about the guest experience. Check in is at a different location and this is not mentioned anywhere and no one picks up the phone ever. We waited by the gate to the property while calling and trying to understand where to check in. Then we ended up leaving the car outside and just walking into the property until we ran into an employee who told us the address for check-in. All this took 30 mins and can be easily avoided by updating the sign at the entrance and also sending instructions by email. The staff is very young and when I complained I was told “yes, it’s confusing” instead of showing any desire to fix this for future guests. My other complain is that for the price I would expect a better breakfast and overall attention to detail. The hotel area is far from everything so they should have a full minibar with snacks and drinks. Also, the coffee makers in the room could be better quality. The room was pristine clean, everything seemed new or in great condition.

Beautiful location! Food was delish though I did ask the waitress for a hamburger medium rare and it came back well. Sooo not sure if she heard me or the chef slipped. Drinks are small and expensive. Ambiance is top notch! Open air dining but the Hudson, even on a cloudy day it was beautiful.

Beautiful property, quiet w lush views of the Hudson River. Staff was courteous and helpful. Breakfast could be improved. Room was very small compared to price point. But would we stay again? Definitely. Very convenient to Rhinebeck and CAKEpalooza.

The property itself is beautiful. The cabins are lovely. The amenities were lacking. I guess it's the time of the year where they're moving their operations indoors, but there was no restaurant available for the time frame we were there and you definitely need to drive back to Town For Any Other things you may need.

Beautiful and well kept location with stunning views of the Hudson River. Equipped with bikes to use on the Empire State Trail, saunas, and firepits to knock the chill off while relaxing by the river. I only wish the restaurant was open every day; we never made it to breakfast in the sunroom at the mansion, but we drove in to town which was five minutes away. We enjoyed Rosie’s general store for breakfast/brunch and Ole Savanah’s had great fried chicken and brussel sprouts!

Very unique property centrally located to explore the Catskills area. Kingston is a nice little town with a lot of great restaurants. You can hike in the adjacent state park along the Hudson from the property or hike in the Catskills 30 minutes out. Quiet relaxing property.

This place is unique with comfy cabins, a delicious open air bar and restaurant and lovely grounds. Having the Empire Trail right there for biking and walking was such a bonus.The riverside view and fire pits just added to the relaxing ambiance. We will be back!

This is a really unique place to stay. The cabins are like contemporary tiny houses right on the Hudson River. It’s beautifully landscaped - a real oasis. The open air restaurant is excellent. Service was excellent all over. The only blemish was a sub par complimentary breakfast - understaffed, with very limited selection and some rancid yogurt. Fix that and it’s five stars all around.

Great overall experience. Unfortunately I experienced a very unpleasant dinner experience. I ordered the pork chops and it was literally raw! I’m a chef. I requested the pork to be cooked and it came back semi cooked. Not to plesent. Waitress was amazing.

Wonderful re-imaganing of the old brick yards. The grounds are gorgeous and our forest queen cabin was very cozy, romantic, clean, and comfortable. Loved the deck with both a picnic table and adorondack chairs. Nice use of small space and appreciate the touches like a lantern, wine glasses and opener, speaker, fridge. No TV- which is a good thing. It should be all about connecting with your partner or nature. Only downside is the restaurant isnt open Sun- Wed for dinner. Looking forward to going back in Sept!

It is definietly over rated. Way too expensive for what it is. It listed the bar and many other things and non of that was available. Really no amneties to have and if you want breakfast you need to leave the area. I mean it makes no sense

Many of the guest cabins face the pavilion where the events are held so you're likely dealing with increased foot traffic, parking lot capacity, and event tenting/equipment that blocks the views of the river and surrounding landscape.

Avoid on event weekends. Event happening when we were there. View of the Hudson was really Hudson plus tents and people tearing down the event for most of our stay. Weekend without an event would probably be great.

Stayed for one night and it was a great place for an anniversary getaway. The views and grounds were beautiful. Our cottage was cozy and perfect. We were able to charge our EV vehicle overnight which was very helpful. The sauna experience was nice and the Pavillion restaurant was excellent.

It was fantastic, we had a great dinner then the s’mores package with our own personal bonfire. This morning we had the bottomless brunch with lobster Benedict. I’m trying my best to get a reservations for my birthday. We’re going to become regulars here

We had a great stay and such a relaxing weekend getaway. The reception staff were incredibly kind and even upgraded our room, which made our trip extra special. The food at the restaurant was absolutely delicious, and the waitresses were very friendly and welcoming. We loved being able to see so many stars in the sky at night, and the location made it easy to access the nearby trails. Overall, it was a peaceful, chill, and memorable experience that we would definitely recommend.
