Halcyon House

Location was ideal for walking and cycling. Close the the lovely coast and key places to visit. Handy to have a couple of pubs for food and something to drink within 15 mins walk, Sheringham Park is less than half an hour walk too. A very comfortable stay with Halcyon House providing good facilities and space for a group of 5 adults. A quiet location as nicely into the village and so away from the main road.

We had a very enjoyable stay at Halcyon House. The house was very comfortable and in a great location for exploring the North Norfolk coastline from one end to the other. The shops were nearby and it was easy to walk to Sheringham Country Park from the door. The owners were very clear that dogs should not go upstairs and helpfully provided a stairgate. Ours were not happy to stay on their own in a strange place so I was happy to sleep on the sofa bed which was quite comfortable and meant that they did not wake at 4am whining at the Bottom of the stairs :) The garden was small but perfectly secure (unless you have a jumper who could probably clear the wall!) We all had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend.

On arrival this well appointed cottage was very clean.It had everything you need both inside and out.Enclosed garden was perfect for our 2 whippets.Local dog friendly pub in the village wasa delightful place to dine.Sheringham only 5 minutes drive also local bus service.Would highly recommend and return.No negative comments to give.Chris & Jane HandfordDogs Ayto & Alma

The is a wonderful house well equipped well decorated and everything provided in a beautiful picturesque village very quiet and dog friendly it is located just outside holt which is a beautiful village you must visit the shops and cafes Bodham is small no village shops nice pub though and then you can get to all the seaside places from the main road we visited all the coastal towns from Hunstanton to Great Yarmouth we stayed a week in the house and went out every day the Norfolk broads are a must too on your way to Great Yarmouth we did not get into Norwich city though but called at kings Lynn on way home back to Pontefract West Yorkshire the weather were also beautiful for us so couldn’t ask for anything better But this house is a must I can highly recommended it to any family with dogs the garden is secure too
