Over all this place was great. The only downside was the water wasn’t really hot and no work out area. The water passed my temperature approval but I have very low standards and it could have been hotter for me. Will be back. Thanks for everything ✨

I wish there was access to the parking in the building. I had to park 3 blocks away. I had to go to Capital One Arena so I used ride share. This was a better option anyway and I’m glad I did. This place is lovely and I’ll use them again.

This is a great little place about a 15 minute walk from Nats Park and about 8 minutes to Harris Teeter. The exercise room was okay and not great but we were told it is being added to. Some of the staff were less than helpful. Others were very helpful for example when we couldn’t get the washer working (the water had been turned off). It was nice to have a balcony. Noise levels were never a problem. The one bedroom apartment was missing things, like bedside lamps in the bedroom and cushions on the couch. There was only one small couch in the living room — it would be nice to have a chair as well. The kitchen table and chairs took up a lot of room and we were constantly stubbing our toes on the chairs due to their unusual design. The kitchen was well outfitted. There were two closets — a large one in the bedroom and a smaller one at the entry. Both had hangers. It would have been nice to have some drawers in the bedroom closet as well. All in all, we enjoyed our stay. Our taxi driver who dropped us off the first night told us it was a dangerous area but we never felt unsafe and we walked everywhere. We didn’t go out much after 11 pm though. We have stayed in the navy yard many times but for those of you who haven’t there are great restaurants nearby. Out favourites are Bluejacket and Walters. We also ventured over to the Point where there are nice places on the river. We found the bed comfortable.

Very comfortable option for home-like stay. Apartment was stocked with everything necessary and everything worked pretty well. Team worked to meet most requests made but could tell still working out some of the kinks of being a new place. Parking free on street parking and was abundant. Park for dog located across the street, along with pet groomers and day care.

The first room we had, had ants in multiple areas. We notified the front desk and were upgraded for free. The room had no ants but there were marks on all the walls and it just looked like nothing had been thoroughly cleaned. The only reason we stayed was because the beds seemed cleaned and there were no more options near us.

Stay was wonderful room was clean and had great amenities with the exception of a few ants and a very noisy neighbor that screamed and banged for two days. Staff was very helpful and courteous.

Extremely Disappointed – Stay Away! I booked this property through a third-party site and feel completely scammed. The room was absolutely disgusting—there were bugs and dog hair everywhere. It was clear that it hadn’t been cleaned properly, and it made for a very uncomfortable experience. I decided to cut my stay short because of the conditions, and I did inform the front desk agent when checking out. Unfortunately, he seemed distracted by personal phone calls during the process and clearly didn’t take the time to document my concerns properly. Now, the property is accusing me of not saying anything, which is absolutely false. No one should have to pay for a room in this kind of condition. I’m incredibly disappointed and will never stay here again. I strongly urge others to think twice before booking.

I would never suggest this place ever! It looks nice until you actually inspect the place. Inside the shower was dirty, it had mold on the side of the shower, the shower is tiny. I\'m 5"4 112 lb and I had to have the shower door open. The way the shower head was setup it was impossible to fully take a shower. Who designed it?! Looking out the window my view was construction and all I saw was rodents several of them outside. I would NEVER suggest this place. Go to any hotel besides this one. This was a horrible experience

We got an apartment on the end next to the staircase and it was still very loud. Upon entering the apartment, our door was opened. Very alarming, but the front desk said it must’ve been the housekeeper from earlier. There was dog hair EVERYWHERE! From the closets to the sofa bed. Please be aware. Not sure how much of a deep clean they do before the next person comes in. I won’t stay here again.

The building and room were very clean. Other reviews mentioned noise, but it is general city noise. The hotel provided a white noise/rain sound machine and ear plugs. There was an exterior locked door in addition to the normal room lock. The metro is an easy 10 minute walk and there is a nice grocery store on the way.

The hotel had changed hands from being a Sondor to Placemakr. Sondor emailed me about the change and told me to expect an email from Placemakr about the change. No email was ever received. On arrival at the hotel we found a door with a keypad and sign saying to call this number. When we called the number it told us we were outside of opening hours and would have to call back. When we eventually got someones attentionthe check in process took at least 45 minutes as the wrong name was on the reservation. When we finally arrived at our room we found it clean ish, but with food stains up the walls and a large amount of pet hair on the floor. We quickly decided we wouldn't be using the hotel again.

My stay was only for a night but I will definitely be looking to stay at this place next time I'm in the Washington D.C. area. The room was really great, felt like a small apartment and it was well furnished. I arrived later in the evening but hotel staff welcomed me in and showed me around the property and let me know everything I needed to know.

It’s ad advertised. Clean, a perfectly useable kitchen. Washing machine and dryer. Big fridge. Very comfy bed. Would have liked a shower, got a tub. Dishwasher. 50 meters from bus station and few minutes from the subway. Neighborhood seems fine and safe even at night, full of places to eat supermarket 2 blocks away

Overall, it’s a place to crash if you need one. Checked in, guy was nice. Instead of key cards they give you a 7 digit code to the door. Apparently 4 digits isn’t secure enough. Ripped the metal flashing clear off the stairs by dragging a bag over it. Check in guy didn’t even react. I think the place used to be an apartment or something. Comes with silverware in pencil cups and clear plastic pizza cutter, never seen one of those before. You can see straight into other rooms. Really odd setup. Looked like aliens tried to guess what a human hotel room looks like. Fold out couch was mangled. Idk if kids were jumping on it or if Norbit spent the night there. They repaired it with whatever material casts for broken arms are made out of. Couldn’t find tv remote. Got one from the front desk guy. Toilet flushed a few times but stopped working the next morning. Shower was super low pressure and leaked from the hose. Place was cleanish and didn’t smell too weird. Worked for us since we only stayed the one night and it was cheap for DC. Probably won’t stay again unless we’re in a tight spot.

The room was exactly as described on the website. Very nice rooms in a very nice area within walking distance to restaurants and other amenities. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend and book again if visiting the area.

The room was nice and kitchen had all the required utensils. However, I had issues with the bathtub draining slowly and the sink tap water flow was like a thin stream without much pressure. I reported this to front desk and nothing was done for the 3 days of my stay. The TV did not have any instructions to access the standard cable and when I called the front desk person, he seemed to not know how to access it. He said he would come by with another remote in 15 min, but never showed up. Probably, the front desk personnel need some training on the hotel facilities and methods of use. They also probably need some guidance on communication and follow up. Overall , the facility was good other than these issues.

Unfortunately, my stay at the Reside Navy Yard was filled with issues from the start. Upon arrival, the hotel refused to honor my prepaid Expedia reservation, and I was forced to pay an additional considerable amount while Expedia attempted to resolve the issue with management. Manger was unprofessional and nasty. Poor customer service there and absolutely no help. We didn’t even check in and stay there because of how rude they were. 30 mins passed check in time and our room still wasn’t ready. Since we left and didn’t stay we wanted a refund and they refused us. I don’t recommend this place at all.

There was no stay. I arrived to the property- Reside Navy Yard 10 mins before my check in time. I used the code that was given to me and could not access the building to get to my room after trying the code about 10 times. The number listed for assistance didn’t work properly after calling and following the prompts about 4-5 times. I wasn’t able to get anyone on the phone. Now I have been told by Hotels.com that the Property Manager for Reside Navy Yard will not issue me a refund. It was sometimes difficult getting into main building. Access code only to building your apartment is in. Ring not working, so sometimes I had to wait almost 30 min to get attention. I ordered food and they delivered to main building. Once I got staff attention she told me I was lucky she was still there, otherwise door locked. I thought there was 24hr front desk support. They did allow me to leave suitcases in lockers if main building before and after checkout.

Overall appearance was nice. The toilet in one of the bedroom bathrooms didn't work. Had it fixed twice and after one flushing stop working each time, so I just gave up on calling. The worse part about my stay was that I was charged 5 different times for my stay. Twice upon arrival, then again at checkout as well as 3 different incidental charges. When I asked for clarification and resolution at the front desk, the person was new and couldn't help me. I was referred to managements EMAIL! As far as I'm concerned all but one the charge's are valid and the rest are fraudulent. I will be disputing with my bank. I would only recommend this property if you are willing to be charged extra for your stay. Ridiculous that know one knows why I was charged so many times. Obviously they didn't know what they were doing because if they would have seen that room charges were paid at check-in I shouldn't have had any additional room charges.

I don't understand all the positive reviews for this place. At the start, it was just little inconvenient things. We requested (and paid for) early check in. The request was approved. As we are getting in the car, we get an email saying they can no longer honor the request. Ok, whatever... We find out at checkout they never removed the charge for it, though. We get to the hotel, parking is impossible. We go to check in at 3:45 and the room isn't ready. The three or four people after us could all check in to rooms that were ready, though... 4:45 our room was finally ready. They give us the combo to our room and we head over. When we get to the room, the door combo doesn't work. I head back to the lobby, three other rooms all come back with the same problem. They give us another combo - doesn't work either. That's when we're told "oh, the pad doesn't work on that room, here's the key". You didn't know that when we were there?? In the room, the bedroom was super tiny. The windows in the room look DIRECTLY INTO OTHER BEDROOMS. The smoke detector was disconnected. The bed is practically on the ground. The walls need patch/paint. There is no cable tv - you must log in to your own streaming services to use the tv. Then, worst of all, the water in the room reaked of rotten egg. The kitchen and bathroom sink and showers - all of them. It was DISGUSTING. Oh, and they put a large hold on your credit card for a week for "incidentals".

This was very convenient for access to either the Navy Yard or Fort McNair. Parking was a little tough, but that's true anywhere in DC. The Metro was about a 10 min walk, and from there you can go anywhere. The apartment was well equipped and perfect for our needs.

Easy access to 2 different Metro stops, about 10-15 minute walk. Near Navy Yard so a lot of Marines in the area, felt safe. Didn’t go out at night so not sure of area in the dark but definitely felt safe during the day. I would stay there again.

The building and room were very clean. Other reviews mentioned noise, but it is general city noise. The hotel provided a white noise/rain sound machine and ear plugs. There was an exterior locked door in addition to the normal room lock. The metro is an easy 10 minute walk and there is a nice grocery store on the way.

The property is in a great location. We were able to take the metro all the way from Dulles to Eastern Market. From there it was less than a km walk. There are also multiple bus lines running along M and 8th street which are a block from the location. We did have some trouble getting in. The building was locked and the staff do not have a view of the door. The only way to contact them is via phone or text which meant activating my international roaming. (We were not sent access codes in advance.) An intercom at the front door might be warranted. Or alternate web based communication. Once we did get checked in we couldn't get into the room. The staff assisted quickly but after multiple attempts were unable to get the door open and immediately arranged for us to have a different room. That ended up being an upgrade to a one bedroom, which we appreciated. The space was compact but well laid out. A bit more storage in the bedroom would have been handy given we were staying a week. There was a closet and hangers but no shelves or dresser. The kitchen had everything we needed to do our own cooking. Dish and dishwasher soap was supplied. A dish towel and dish sponge would have made clean up easier. We also made good use of the washer and dryer. This is a great little place about a 15 minute walk from Nats Park and about 8 minutes to Harris Teeter. The exercise room was okay and not great but we were told it is being added to. Some of the staff were less than helpful. Others were very helpful for example when we couldn’t get the washer working (the water had been turned off). It was nice to have a balcony. Noise levels were never a problem. The one bedroom apartment was missing things, like bedside lamps in the bedroom and cushions on the couch. There was only one small couch in the living room — it would be nice to have a chair as well. The kitchen table and chairs took up a lot of room and we were constantly stubbing our toes on the chairs due to their unusual design. The kitchen was well outfitted. There were two closets — a large one in the bedroom and a smaller one at the entry. Both had hangers. It would have been nice to have some drawers in the bedroom closet as well. All in all, we enjoyed our stay. Our taxi driver who dropped us off the first night told us it was a dangerous area but we never felt unsafe and we walked everywhere. We didn’t go out much after 11 pm though. We have stayed in the navy yard many times but for those of you who haven’t there are great restaurants nearby. Out favourites are Bluejacket and Walters. We also ventured over to the Point where there are nice places on the river. We found the bed comfortable.

We are a family of four (parents in our 40s with a 14-year-old and an 8-year-old) who stayed here for 2 nights and 3 days. Our main goal for visiting Washington, D.C. was to watch MLB games, so we were looking for the most affordable option within walking distance of the stadium. Pros: Location: The property is a cozy building about a 15–20 minute walk from Nationals Park. It was super convenient for us, allowing us to easily attend two evening games on Monday and Tuesday. Amenities & Cleanliness: The 1-bedroom condo-style unit was spotless and very well-maintained. Having a dishwasher, washer, and dryer right in the room made our 3-day stay incredibly convenient. Overall Experience: The location works well for exploring D.C. in general. Given the fully equipped kitchen and laundry facilities, we would love to stay here again on our next trip to D.C. Now that we know how everything works, our next visit will be even smoother! Things to Keep in Mind: Night Walk: The walk back from the stadium late at night felt a bit isolated/unsafe, so just be mindful when walking after dark. Bed Layout for Families: For a family of four, the setup (one bed + one sofa bed) was a bit uncomfortable for our 14-year-old son. We are a family of four (parents in our 40s with a 14-year-old and an 8-year-old) who stayed here for 2 nights and 3 days. Our main goal for visiting Washington, D.C. was to watch MLB games, so we were looking for the most affordable option within walking distance of the stadium. Pros: Location: The property is a cozy building about a 15–20 minute walk from Nationals Park. It was super convenient for us, allowing us to easily attend two evening games on Monday and Tuesday. Amenities & Cleanliness: The 1-bedroom condo-style unit was spotless and very well-maintained. Having a dishwasher, washer, and dryer right in the room made our 3-day stay incredibly convenient. Overall Experience: The location works well for exploring D.C. in general. Given the fully equipped kitchen and laundry facilities, we would love to stay here again on our next trip to D.C. Now that we know how everything works, our next visit will be even smoother! Things to Keep in Mind: Night Walk: The walk back from the stadium late at night felt a bit isolated/unsafe, so just be mindful when walking after dark. I chose this place for the proximity to Nationals Park for Noah Kahan show 7/22. I booked in February. I typically do book w/ 3rd party, but this is the first time there were issues. The room I booked was to hold 4 ppl comfortably, (deluxe studio) but we were given a standard studio — with only one bed. I was able to have a text chat w/ front desk attendant who told me there was nothing they could do — but I did share my original booking listing the room I reserved (deluxe studio). At this point I was told to wait — and I am thankful that hotel employee Cecilio helped me move to another room — with both a queen bed and a sofa bed, all 4 of us could comfortably sleep. While the sofa bed frame was bent, my daughter and her friend slept ok. I really appreciated that there were dishes /utensils as we had a very late door-dashed meal. The deluxe studio space served us well. However — well after midnight — a lady and her daughter started pushing our keypad trying to get into our room. I imagine that the front desk/maintenance staff had some miscommunication about switching us — still having someone knock on the door. I also wish that parking info (there is none) was mentioned in any of the communications, but this could also be a 3rd party issue. Overall the place is comfortable and ideally suited for Nationals Park events/games. Truly thankful for Cecilio and being able to move rooms.
