Lovely room, and great front of house service. But the two members of staff in the bar (1x male and 1x female) we found to be rude, particularly the guy who i needed to complain about. Because of the way we were treated we would not stay here again

The Mercure hotel in Salzburg was a great value choice for staying in a location that was convenient to get into the city centre and explore the Christmas markets and city attractions. Just about 10 minutes walk from the main train station and with a bus stop only 2 minutes away, you can get around the city and local area with ease. Much of Salzburg is easily walkable. The hotel is in a quiet residential area, the rooms are modern and comfortable and there are dining options on site, but these were expensive so we used the many cafes and restaurants in the city.

Mercure Salzburg City is a great hotel and I would stay again. The staff are super friendly, the hotel is well located (only 12 - 15 mins leisurely walk from the Makartsteg Bridge that crosses the Salzach), the rooms are spacious and clean, and the beds comfortable. The only disappointment was that the complementary bottles of water (2) in the fridge are not replaced each morning. So regardless of a single or multiple night stay, you get the two bottles. That doesn't make sense. If I book one night, I get the same as someone staying longer? Mercure management team: if you are going to provide water (which I really appreciated), then please make it consistent and fair. If I had known, I'd have bought water on my way back to the hotel on the second night. Buying your water at reception costs more than 3x the price in Spar!

De locatie was goed, op loopafstand van het centrum. Parkeren was prima te doen en het personeel reageert snel als je mailt met een vraag. Maar wat een oud en vies hotel! De kamer rook muf, overal vlekken in het tapijt en vooral de badkamer was erg vies. En dan ben je gewoon bijna €200 kwijt (inclusief €18 voor parkeren) voor één nachtje. Ik vind het veel te duur voor zo’n vies hotel.

Great location close to the train station, Mirabel gardens and hop on hop off bus in walking distance. We ate in the restaurant every night, meals were well priced and amazing.The staff were a great help with our questions. Thank you Toth for the great service you provided in the restaurant, you must try the Wien as schnitzel!

I was on the 1st floor. Staff was smoking under my room so I was forced to close the window. According to reception they were not allowed but seeing the ash tray there, it appears to be different .

Gefallen hat uns, das der Empfangsbereich und die Zimmer modernisiert wurden. Nicht gefallen hat uns die sehr schlecht sprechende Rezeptionistin, welche überhaupt keine Ahnung über die Kurzparksituation vor dem Hotel hatte, uns einen Parkplatz für einen Tag um 19 Euro verkaufen wollte und das obwohl es am Wochenende zu diesem Zeitpunkt gar keine Kurzparkzone mehr gab. Weiters fanden wir die ekelhaften Flecken am Teppich in unserem Zimmer nicht sehr einladend. Um 6:30 Uhr hat sich ein augenscheinlicher Gast des Hotels zum Rauchen auf die Betonsockel vor dem Hotel gesetzt und lautstark Handyvideos geschaut. Abschließend waren wir von dem Frühstück um 19€/Person sehr enttäuscht. Der Kaffee aus dem Automaten schmeckte wie Seife, die Fruchtsäfte kamen ebenso aus dem Automaten, schmeckten chemisch und Auswahl gab es kaum. Künftig werden wir in Salzburg bestimmt ein anderes Hotel wählen!

Vom Check-in bis zum Check-Out sehr zuvorkommender und freundlicher Service mit besonderer Überraschung im Zimmer zu meinem Geburtstag und Gutschein für das Restaurant. Zimmer und Bad super sauber. Tolles Frühstück im Restaurant mit großer Auswahl im Buffet und diversen frisch zubereiteten Eiervariationen. Großen Dank an das Team an der Rezeption und besonders auch an den Restaurantleiter. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und werden dieses Hotel jederzeit weiterempfehlen.

I really loved this hotel. Away from the tourist areas (but only 15 - 20 minutes walk) this hotel is perfect for those who want a bit of a quieter stay and don’t want to pay the high prices of staying in the older part of town. The hotel was immaculate. The rooms were lovely and spacious with great walk in showers which were very powerful. The staff were all really helpful and their use of English was great for us non-German speakers. The only slight downside was the cost of breakfast. 17 euros pp/pn I thought was slightly excessive. Whilst It did look good with lots of choice, you could easily pop to a coffee shop and the supermarket for a light breakfast and still have change left over. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to others as well.

Cafe da manhã ótimo, funcionarios atenciosos e prestativos, entretanto, o carpets do quarto era empoeirado. O carepete deveria ser removido e trocado por piso de madeira. O isolamento acustico do quarto era pessimo, dava p ouvir as conversas do lado de fora do quarto, e batidas de portas o tempo todo.

Staff were very friendly and professional. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. There were tea and coffee making facilities in the room as well as a safe. The hotel is situated in the New Town with the Old Town a 15 minute walk away. The walk does take you past many shops and eateries and is very pleasant.

Mercure in Salzburg is in a quiet neighborhood not far from the central station. Double bed was firm but comfy. Bathroom was fine with large enough shower although i don't know why there was a towel bar in front of the sink. Breakfast buffet ay 24 euros was a little high although selection was good. I'd definitely stay there again if i return to Salzburg.

Das Zimmer ist schön, nur ist das Hotel leider sehr hellhörig. Die Wasserleitungen sind sehr laut, und man hört durch alle Wände andere Gäste reden, husten etc.

Schon bei Buchung hat es Stunden gedauert bis auf schrftliche Nachfrage die Bestätigung kam. Telefon wurde bei zahlreichen Versuchen nicht abgehoben. Beim Einchecken konnten die Kreditkartendaten nicht abgelesen werden

Lovely room, and great front of house service. But the two members of staff in the bar (1x male and 1x female) we found to be rude, particularly the guy who i needed to complain about. Because of the way we were treated we would not stay here again

Great location close to the train station, Mirabel gardens and hop on hop off bus in walking distance. We ate in the restaurant every night, meals were well priced and amazing.The staff were a great help with our questions. Thank you Toth for the great service you provided in the restaurant, you must try the Wien as schnitzel!

Gefallen hat uns, das der Empfangsbereich und die Zimmer modernisiert wurden. Nicht gefallen hat uns die sehr schlecht sprechende Rezeptionistin, welche überhaupt keine Ahnung über die Kurzparksituation vor dem Hotel hatte, uns einen Parkplatz für einen Tag um 19 Euro verkaufen wollte und das obwohl es am Wochenende zu diesem Zeitpunkt gar keine Kurzparkzone mehr gab. Weiters fanden wir die ekelhaften Flecken am Teppich in unserem Zimmer nicht sehr einladend. Um 6:30 Uhr hat sich ein augenscheinlicher Gast des Hotels zum Rauchen auf die Betonsockel vor dem Hotel gesetzt und lautstark Handyvideos geschaut. Abschließend waren wir von dem Frühstück um 19€/Person sehr enttäuscht. Der Kaffee aus dem Automaten schmeckte wie Seife, die Fruchtsäfte kamen ebenso aus dem Automaten, schmeckten chemisch und Auswahl gab es kaum. Künftig werden wir in Salzburg bestimmt ein anderes Hotel wählen!

The Mercure hotel in Salzburg was a great value choice for staying in a location that was convenient to get into the city centre and explore the Christmas markets and city attractions. Just about 10 minutes walk from the main train station and with a bus stop only 2 minutes away, you can get around the city and local area with ease. Much of Salzburg is easily walkable. The hotel is in a quiet residential area, the rooms are modern and comfortable and there are dining options on site, but these were expensive so we used the many cafes and restaurants in the city.

Staff were very friendly and professional. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. There were tea and coffee making facilities in the room as well as a safe. The hotel is situated in the New Town with the Old Town a 15 minute walk away. The walk does take you past many shops and eateries and is very pleasant.

Mercure in Salzburg is in a quiet neighborhood not far from the central station. Double bed was firm but comfy. Bathroom was fine with large enough shower although i don't know why there was a towel bar in front of the sink. Breakfast buffet ay 24 euros was a little high although selection was good. I'd definitely stay there again if i return to Salzburg.

Vom Check-in bis zum Check-Out sehr zuvorkommender und freundlicher Service mit besonderer Überraschung im Zimmer zu meinem Geburtstag und Gutschein für das Restaurant. Zimmer und Bad super sauber. Tolles Frühstück im Restaurant mit großer Auswahl im Buffet und diversen frisch zubereiteten Eiervariationen. Großen Dank an das Team an der Rezeption und besonders auch an den Restaurantleiter. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und werden dieses Hotel jederzeit weiterempfehlen.

Das Hotel liegt ziemlich zentral, aber ist dennoch in ruhiger Lage. Das Fühdtück war in Ordnung, alles Wesentliche war da. Wir würden das Hotel nochmals buchen.

Had a 3 night stay during a road trip through Germany and Austria. We only booked the Mercure as we were meeting elderly family in Salzburg who were staying there after a river cruise. Our flight got in very early morning so we arrived well in advance of check in time. Reception allowed us to leave our bags whilst we explored the city until our room was available. The room was very small, smaller than it appeared online. The furniture and room layout just didn’t work, and the decor was dated. Our room type included a complimentary mini bar which was replenished daily. There was also a coffee machine, safe and fridge. Strangely, there was no phone in the room, so when I had a question, I had to go down to reception to ask. No big deal, just very odd - especially in case of an emergency. Breakfast was not included and was pricey, so we opted to grab groceries from one of the many supermarkets in walking distance. Parking was also an additional charge of €20 per day. Ordinarily we would avoid a hotel that charges for parking, but in this case we did not have a choice. The bathroom was also small with a lack of counter space. The space between the toilet and wall was extremely tight, and I’m short. The location was in a residential area but only a 10/15 minute walk to the main city centre which was absolutely fine for us, but our elderly relatives struggled so did not venture far on foot. All in all our stay was ok, but I would not return to the Mercure.

From the friendly welcome & communication this hotel makes sure you are fully informed Once the room was ready the warmth and smile from the front desk young lady eased away the delay getting my room allocated.
