Very, friendly well located hotel that we have used before and will use again. Car park next door to the hotel is very convenient and has direct access to the hotel. Overnight parking charges have gone up since our last stay, but do allow unlimited use of the car park. Overall a very pleasant stay, and our regular choice of hotel for Bristol.

Hotel is in a great location. Within walking distance to Hippodrome and bars. The bar in the hotel is quiet and a lady playing the piano was a bonus as it was so relaxing. Our room overlooked the river, the only downside was the bars the otherside of the river did not close until after 2am so you could here the music.

Comfortable bed, lighting could be better. Larger amount of shower gel please. We just about had enough for the 2 of us for evening and morning shower. Helpful and friendly staff. Good location. Availability of car parking although a little tight going up the ramp in a large car, watch your wheels!

The hotel was easy to get to from Bristol airport. The room was very comfortable. We had breakfast each day and although limited enough the quality of the food was excellent. The restaurant has a lovely view over the harbour area. We had an evening meal there one night during our short stay and the food and ambiance were excellent.

They put me in the room below the gym and didnt tell me, used this place to get some much needed rest but nope, woken up by people slamming weights really early and thunping of the treadmill, walls are like paper, very disappointed worst stay in my life

I liked the dining options, however, the housekeeping didn’t change my sheets throughout my 4 day stay. They only laid the bed with the same makeup-stained sheets I already had. Also, I noticed a food stain like a tomato sauce on the chair in my room upon arrival. Please pay more attention to deep cleaning.

This is a wonderful property located perfectly for central Bristol activities. Staff was very friendly and attentive. The property and room were spotless. In addition the room was quiet as anyone could ask for. When I get back to Bristol, I will be staying here again.

Our 4th visit to the Bristol and it was as fabulous as ever. Service is always impeccable rooms immaculate we were upgraded free of charge and had a lovely welcome note chocolates and drinks in our room for my husbands birthday. The beds are really comfortable and rooms have everything you need we love the central location on the river. Overall a lovely stay we will certainly be back

Nice big room. Although, given the price, very little extras (e.g. toiletries). Room was noisy due to loud music until 2am from downstairs & bathroom fan on constantly, meaning o poor nights sleep. Good location & parking right next door (although not cheap, even with hotel discount).

Our room was somewhat small, considering we hadn’t booked the cheapest room and it was standard size. I’d say the bathroom was the biggest issue as the door opened inwards so you had to sort of squeeze around it to get in and out so felt a little claustrophobic. There was no fridge in our room which was ok for a single nights’ stay but had we been there longer, this would have been disappointing. Room was a little warm and so we did open the window but couldn’t leave it open all night as it was loud outside (undetectable for a Friday night in the city to be fair). It was a decent stay in a very good location but not sure if we would stay again or try somewhere else.

Terrible Friday night stay. No air conditioning so it was too warm to sleep and the outside noise level is high with booming bass lines from nearby bars and nightclubs even with the window closed. Place is getting worn down and in need of refurbishment. Service at reception was good so that's one positive.

The Bristol hotel is OK. Stopped before and the quality of the stay depends on the room you are allocated. This stay the noises from the adjacent room (door closing, using bathroom etc) kept me awake. Also was very hot with no means to lower the temperature

We had a room that overlooked the river which gave good views of the city. However it was also facing the clubs and bars of the waterside. The windows weren’t good enough and the bass from the Clubs could definitely be heard in the room which made it difficult going to sleep. The air conditioning unit was also quite load. The room was a bit tired considering it was an upgrade. The shower was also quite poor and the TV didn’t work properly.

Location is great. Staff are great. It is less ideal because it doesn’t have AC - there are windows. But it’s not the same. The bathrooms have the dumb half glass. Rooms are certainly on the small side (standard). It’s a fine spot. But it’s not a great spot.

Excellent quality of service and quality of decor, furniture etc in the room. Exceptionally clean. Also benefits from secure parking (at a subsidised cost). The only downsides are due to the physical capacity and location of the property. Our room was on the small side, and there was a lot of outside noise at night and early in the morning (city centre)

Great stay at the Bristol Hotel. Made to feel welcome by the receptionist Marian who was also very helpful. The room was cozy with a lovely view of the river. Comfy double bed but we did find it a little small. The room was quiet and we had a great night's sleep. The hotel is in a great location for restaurant's and exploring the city. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a superb stay at The Bristol. The staff were unbelievably helpful and accommodating. Every member of staff was pleasant and friendly. The hotel is beautiful. The bar is excellent. The whole atmosphere and ethos of the hotel is really lovely. We will always stay here when visiting Bristol.

Stayed here for one night for a special occasion and can’t fault the hotel. Friendly service and they gave me a river view room which was lovely. Also left a couple of complimentary drinks and chocolates in the room on check in which was a lovely added touch. Room was clean and big. Great view of river and city. Easy check in and great location. Perfect stay thank you.

Excellent Hotel very well situated on the Harbour & also only a short walk away from bars, restaurants & Cabot Circus shopping. Walkable to other attractions i.e. Clifton Suspension Bridge. Good size room provides Iron & Board, Safe, Nespresso Coffee Maker & also kettle with tea/coffee making equipment. Temple Spa Toiletries. Slippers/Dressing Gown. We celebrated our Wedding Anniversary here & were touched to find a bottle of Prosecco, Chocolates & a card in our room. We had a lovely stay here.

Hotel is tired and grubby in parts, but for a single night was ok. Overall staff interaction and helpfulness was ok, girls on reception very helpful, experience was brought down heavily by an obnoxious barman trying to take advantage of people he thought had had too much to drink (tried charging £23.10 for two soft drinks and a bottle of beer) fortunately, we spotted this straight away and asked for a receipt/menu. He very sheepishly took the drinks away without saying anything else. No air conditioning in the room (just a noisy fan) classic double room was quite tight for 2 people, no complimentary bottles of water in the room.

The beds are really comfortable and rooms have everything you need we love the central location on the river. Overall a lovely stay we will certainly be back

Our 4th visit to the Bristol and it was as fabulous as ever. Service is always impeccable rooms immaculate we were upgraded free of charge and had a lovely welcome note chocolates and drinks in our room for my husbands birthday. The beds are really comfortable and rooms have everything you need we love the central location on the river. Overall a lovely stay we will certainly be back

A business trip, so didn’t actually as much time in the hotel as I’d have liked in order to explore it. But the breakfast experience and interactions with the staff were all really good. Very comfortable room, surprised there were no USB sockets - but that tiny detail aside - very happy. The parking option is ideal. Located right next to a multi-level car park, once you register your car at check-in, the access to come and go is automatic, no faffing around and there’s access from the car park directly to the hotel, so no lugging bags through inclement weather. The pricing for this hotel is generally above what I pay for work trips, and in this case I’d cashed some point to get a better price. Will be giving it serious consideration next time I’m in Bristol.

The Hotel was lovely, great location in many ways. Just be aware it backs on to the water with lots of bars. We stayed on the Saturday when the students went back to Uni and it was very busy and noisy until 4am. This may have been worse than normal with the students go back.

Generally a fantastic stay, couldn't fault the staff and location. Just one thing if you are a light sleeper and staying on a Saturday night. Bars across the water don't turn off the bass until 2am, which you can hear faintly even with the windows firmly shut.

Hotel is in a great location. Within walking distance to Hippodrome and bars. The bar in the hotel is quiet and a lady playing the piano was a bonus as it was so relaxing. Our room overlooked the river, the only downside was the bars the otherside of the river did not close until after 2am so you could here the music.

Bring situated directly by the port it was perfect for our stay. The room was very comfortable, it would have been nice to have some bottled water in the room and maybe a refrigerator. The staff were very pleasant and helpful in both the restaurant and reception. The food in the restaurant was off a very high standard and breakfast was very good. We attended a function in the ballroom and once again the food was very good. The bar staff in the conference centre could do with being a little more knowledgeable about the beverages they are selling but it was fun.

Room was clean as was bathroom although a little tight between bath and toilet. Staff were helpful and pleasant. Wifi had good coverage Only drawback was breakfast . Food warm and had run out of eggs and although told would cook fresh and bring to table this didnt happen and had to waste a perfectly good plate of food as by time realised no one was bringing eggs it was stone cold and to replace. Restaurant has a great view of river.

Breakfast was poor for the money, sausages were like bullets, waited ages for bacon as it was empty , eggs like rubber, it seems it was all pre cooked and warmed up and waited over 10 minutes to be offered a table, not good for £18 each

The hotel was easy to get to from Bristol airport. The room was very comfortable. We had breakfast each day and although limited enough the quality of the food was excellent. The restaurant has a lovely view over the harbour area. We had an evening meal there one night during our short stay and the food and ambiance were excellent.

Great location near Queen Square and Harbour side. Carpark next door. Friendly staff. Nice restaurant overlooking the water. Good breakfast, but rather pricey!! Would definitely stay again.

Stayed here a couple of times now on visits to family. Decent hotel, large rooms, breakfast was also pretty decent as hotel breakfasts go. Staff have always been very friendly and welcoming here, particularly the staff at breakfast.

The hotel is in a perfect location for getting around. And transport links are good. As lone female in a place i had not bern to before i felt safe walking around. My room was on the 4th floor and the first thing that struck me when I stepped out of the lift was how dark it was. Luckily my room was at the end of the corridor next to an external window so it was light directly outside my room but to and from the lift was dark. When the lift opened on other floors. I was struck by how bright and light the other floors were compared to the 4th floor. The room was clean but it is a bit dated. Bed was comfortable and clean. There is no draws for clothes storage, only hanging space. The thing that did annoy me was the shower . The head needs cleaning as the water flow is slow. Used the restaurant twice and both times food was good and the staff were friendly polite and helpful . Food also reasonable priced. I would recommend.
