Urban Yard Hotel

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour mes enfants et moi. Accueil très chaleureux, hôtel et chambre très agréables et propres. Très joli jardin à l'arrière de l'etablissement Chambre très calme et bien décorée, lits très confortables Personnel très gentil L'hôtel est tout proche de la gare du midi, et pas trop éloigné du centre de Bruxelles pour s'y rendre à pieds. Métro à proximité Nous avons beaucoup apprecié notre sejour

Urban Yard is an excellent option for staying just outside of city center in Brussels! Air Conditioning worked great, very comfortable temperature and beds for sleeping. Also has a quiet patio area for enjoying coffee in the morning or beer in the evening. Staff is super friendly, they speak multiple languages to accomodate many cultures and nationalities.

Een mooi goed hotel. Vriendelijk en behulpzame personeel. Wordt gebouwd in de hele omgeving waardoor hotel moeilijk bereikbaar was. Parkeergarage was te ver.

Lovely boutique hotel with beautifully decorated lounge. Room was compact but was decorated to high standard. Perfect for an overnight stop if you need to be near the station.

Allt var bra trevligt rum, rent fin frukost om än inte 1000 alternativ men det varnliga man förväntar sig. Fönstret i rummet gick ut mot ett schakt från taket i stortsett med väggar på alla sidor som utsikt. Det enda stora minuset var hissen. Det finns bara en och den är inte snabb, räkna med 2min väntetid vid varje hissresa. I övrigt trevligt och fint.

Overall the property was very comfortable and clean. My group enjoyed the stay. The staff were professional and helpful. I appreciated the small touches like the Belgian candies (“Cuberdon”) that were left for us in the room. The bathroom was very clean and the room had a nice and functional design. They store luggage for you which is very convenient but you put the luggage inside the room yourself which in my opinion is not very secure. Then they give you a bag check ticket. The hotel is small and has a small elevator. There was a coffee machine in the room and a few teas (but no kettle so I think you need to request that from the front desk). The area surrounding the hotel does not seem very safe especially at night. I never went back to the hotel particularly late but it just has an unsafe vibe unfortunately. It’s the area next to the train station (Brussels Midi station). Being that close to the station was very convenient however, for catching IC trains as well as the Eurostar)

Bel hôtel. Superbe décoration. Bon petit déjeuner. Bien situé à 3 min du métro. Chambre très confortable. Bonne literie avec oreillers mousse mémoire hyper confortable ! Le ménage de la chambre en cas de séjour prolongé est sommaire. Le lit est fait, les serviettes sont changés, mais on ne nettoie rien d,autres pratiquement.

This property was immaculately clean. The staff is so kind and helpful. We needed to store our bags even after we checked out and they accommodated us. Very very nice staff. Well trained !!

The room was beautifully decorated and perfectly clean. The staff at reception were extremely helpful and kind. The breakfast buffet was super tasty and fresh :) Would highly recommend!!

Nettes Personal, saubere Zimmer

We had a great stay at Urban Yard. It seems to be a brand new hotel with rooms and bathrooms spanking clean. The staff were very helpful and very responsive. The location is in very close proximity to the Brussels Midi station, 5 minutes walking time. The surrounding area is pretty dirty though and that unfortunately goes with Brussels in general. Compared to like Paris, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Rome etc, Brussels was the dirtiest place we came across in Europe. The hotel on the other hand was the cleanest and the newest place we stayed in all of Europe. However, we didn't feel unsafe around the hotel or Brussels in general though some earlier guests had commented about that. If you are goign to Brussels we highly recommend this hotel.

Really nice hotel. Room was well-equipped and spotlessly clean, very quiet and comfortable. Reception staff were friendly and efficent and breakfast was perfect - nice selection of hot and cold foods which were ideal to start the day. Location was good and only 10 minutes to the main station and close to the city centre.

Beautiful hotel, small room

The area is not the best, around the hotel is dirty. But is convenient because is close to train station and walkable to attraction area. What I missed in the hotel was a fridge or an ice machine. If you stay for over one night, you are not able to buy groceries to have some snack at the hotel room. But overall for one night, was ok.

Nous y avons séjourné une nuit avec nos deux enfants (1 chambre quadruple). La chambre était spacieuse, propre et très bien équipée. Le petit déjeuner est très copieux. Le seul hic mais indépendant de l’hôtel finalement est la zone de travaux juste sous les fenêtres de l’hôtel. L’isolation phonique n’était pas top.

The hotel is lovely, clean comfortable But you hear all the noise in the street! No insolation sonic , so noisy and road works in the street

Stayed 1 night, didn't have breakfast. Great family room. Square outside hotel room (ground floor with opaque window) frequented by people drinking cans of beer and noise of drunks talking right outside window of our room went on for half an hour from around 11.30pm

Cerca de la estación de tren y del tranvía. No nos reabastecieron de café ni agua. En la habitación se escuchaba algo de ruido de las otras habitaciones.

Nice modern property. Dark room, no AC (only had a heating setting). Comfortable bed and good shower. Area isn't the best.

There was construction in the area which made finding the property a bit confusing but it's very close to the train station which was helpful. The area seemed pretty safe during the day, but a bit sketchy at night. The breakfast was great, everything fresh and tasty.

Expérience inacceptable du début à la fin. À notre arrivée, l’hôtel nous remet une première chambre (n°411). En entrant, nous découvrons que la chambre est déjà occupée, avec un sac appartenant à un autre client à l’intérieur. C’est un manquement extrêmement grave, tant sur le plan de la sécurité que de la gestion des clients. Après réclamation, une seconde chambre (n°111) nous est attribuée. Dès l’accueil, le réceptionniste nous déconseille fortement de nous garer devant l’hôtel, évoquant la présence de personnes « louches ». Lorsqu’un hôtel reconnaît lui-même un problème de sécurité aux abords immédiats, cela en dit long. La nuit est un cauchemar : chaleur étouffante, bruit constant, impossibilité d’aérer correctement. Le matin, nous découvrons que la chambre est totalement privée de lumière naturelle, la fenêtre donnant sur une cour intérieure sombre et fermée. Après ce cumul de dysfonctionnements et le manquement initial majeur, nous refusons de changer encore de chambre et quittons l’établissement. Malgré des preuves (photos) et une situation manifestement non conforme, aucun remboursement n’a été accordé, l’hôtel se retranchant derrière une politique “non remboursable”. Remettre une chambre déjà occupée, reconnaître des problèmes de sécurité et vendre des chambres sans lumière naturelle sans l’indiquer est indigne d’un établissement hôtelier. À éviter absolument. Hôtels.com est désolé et ne propose aucune solution non plus donc je ne recommande pas ce site non plus

Really liked this hotel. Anderson was especially friendly and helpful. The area itself felt safe enough during daylight but felt a bit sketchy at night. A little confusing to get to with construction going on in the area but close to the train station which was very helpful.

Excelente atendimento

The only real negative experience we had was when it came to breakfast. Staff wasnt friendly and explanation at time of reservation that we needed to stop by front desk to pay bedore breakfast.

Urban Yard Hotel is a great choice if you’re arriving via Brussels Midi – it’s just a short walk away and very easy to find. The hotel itself was spotlessly clean, and the staff were super friendly and welcoming throughout my stay. The room was a decent size, with a comfortable bed and a nice touch: a coffee machine. While the breakfast was quite average in terms of variety and quality, it’s an optional extra, so not a dealbreaker if you prefer to eat out. Overall, I had a very pleasant experience and would definitely stay here again.

Blev till och med efterföljd av en man hela vägen in i hotell som inte lydde personalen när de bad honom lämna entrén, först efter att de hotade att ringa polisen gick han därifrån. Så detta är tyvärr inte ett hotell att välja ifall du reser som ensam kvinna, och jag skriver tyvärr för hotellet i sig är fint. Vad gäller servicen är min uppfattning tudelad, fick ett mycket fint bemötande vid incheckningen, men när vi behövde beställa taxi verkade det vara ytterst besvärligt. Ena taxibeställningen glömdes helt bort av, och vid det andra tillfället både himlade receptionisten med ögonen och suckade högt.

Great hotel and person at reception was very friendly and welcoming (Taiwanese guy). Although the hotel is a fairly convenient walk into the centre of Brussels the area around the hotel is a little dodgy and dirty (as is the case with hotels near trains stations in any city!). This shouldn't deter anyone from choosing to stay at Urban Yard, I found it great!

We enjoyed our stay at the Urban Yard. It is within walking distance from the train station Gare du Midi but also the city center (20 minutes). A metro station is 5 minutes away, too. The hotel was very clean and modern, all staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. Thank you very much!

Friendly staff Clean room

Clean, stylish and friendly hotel. We enjoyed our stay here - very comfortable. Good air con and breakfast. Great location for Midi/Zuid station. Walkable to city centre. The immediate area is ‘edgy’ and quite run-down. I don’t think I’d feel safe on my own after dark but in daylight it was OK for the two of us.

La experiencia ha sido muy buena, muy cómodo cerca de la estación de tren MIDI y metro muy cercano, y andando al centro 20 minutos.

Die Umgebung ist schmuddelig. Überall liegt Müll. Das Hotel selbst ist ordentlich, sauber und gut. Frühstück ausreichend und ordentlich. Vorteil der Lage: 10 min zu Fuß bis Brüssel Midi

En general no esta mal el hotel. Cuidado con la zona, muy cerca de la estacion de Tren Midi, por lo que como ocurre en la mayoria de las ciudades, lleno de gente de dudosa actitud y maneras. Peligrosa la zona en definitiva

Fairly New hotel 10 mins from midi station. Hotel is very nice, but the area around was dirty and felt a little unsafe. Good restaurant next door and a team stop just over the square

The hotel was amazing, comfortable beds and steps away from the train station. However, it was far from the old town and not in the nicest part of town. There was construction on the main road that made it a bit difficult to get to by car and not much around at night
