Such a comfortable place to land while I was in Cairo. Loved the pool with a Nile view. You could even see pyramids in the distance when the air was clear! Maadi is a tourist area and I felt very safe.

It was a great stay in a hotel. the breakfast was very yummy and versatile. The room with the view on Nile was amazing. Also really liked the pool area and the restaurant there. The stuff was very kind and helpful! Thank you!

Gym was not well equipped. Barbell: 5kg, 10kg, 15kg. Nothing between! Old rusty and not good, sorry. Room was sticky, walking barefoot from the shower to the bed and I had different things sticked to my feet. Very noisy from the street because the windows are cheap and not insulating. Breakfast: very simple and every day exactly the same. Not even water melon or cheap stuff. For 5 stars, it's not good.

The Nile view suite was amazing. The service and friendliness of the staff wonderful. Super safe area. Great food. Negatives: The hotel is not smoke free and the smell of cigarettes is everywhere. They need to close the door to the lounge where smoking is allowed. They use a very heavy air freshener. Carpet in the room should be replaced with a hard floor covering.

We stayed at this lovely hotel in a river-facing suite on the top floor, and the views from our room were stunning. You can enjoy the sunset from your room. The staff were very helpful, and Mohamed from housekeeping made sure our room was perfectly clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We stayed at this hotel for 4 days while we were travelling in Egypt. We chose a suite overlooking the Nile. Our room was amazing. It was large clean and comfortable. We have an great view of the Nile and on clear days we could see the pyramids of Giza. The staff were kind and helpful. Customer relations representative, Maryam was especially helpful. It was an added bonus to have a washer and dryer in our suite as it allowed us to pack less clothes for the trip. We signed up for the breakfast buffets. They had an excellent selection of foods including made to order omelettes. We ate dinner in some of their restaurants and always enjoyed good food.

Positive: wonderful breakfast and dinner buffet. Amazing view from room The one bedroom suite was huge and comfortable. Great amenities : love having a washing machine! The room itself was fine. I was in a suite, but it was oddly set up. There was clearly a spot where a couch should have been, but instead it was empty. No real place to sit and eat within the room aside from a small table near the kitchen that would fit one person. Outside of the hotel is a highway and it was constantly noisy. This might be true of many hotels in Cairo, but I found all the honking and noise to disturb my sleep. English communication was difficult unless speaking to the front desk. Even had a server at the hotel restaurant tell me I could not charge breakfast to my room. ATM in the hotel was broken the whole time I was there, when I asked about it, the front desk seemed to have no idea there was even an issue. Room would get quite hot throughout the day, but the staff would turn off the A/C when cleaning, so you always came back to a hot room. And this stay was in the winter, so I can only imagine the summer. There was a grocery store a couple minute walk away, which was convenient. Room service was adequate. Not amazing. They have a call policy if you leave do not disturb on for your room. It says as much in the hotel pamphlet, but would have been nice to know when checking in. I was woken up by them calling to check on me Not the safest area to be in. Very not-walkable. I'd stay again if I had to, but I mostly chose the location because I was working nearby.

The hospitality of the staff was excellent and the location was easy to find. The only disappointment was that the walls between us and our neighbors were thin and we could hear the noise well, and the windows were not double-glazed, so the noise from cars on the main road was very loud.

Fabulous hotel - clean, modern and beautifully decorated. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Our suite was huge for a family of 4. Separate bathroom, dressing room with laundry, small kitchen with full appliances, huge picture window out to Cairo and very comfortable beds. We had everything we needed. Hotel staff in the restaurants were also very helpful and service, while a little slow, was good. We dined for breakfast, lunch and dinner at 2 different restaurants over our 4 day stay.

Everything was perfect . Mustafa at reception upgraded us to a wonderful suite with an amazing view over the Nile . The most comfortable beds on our entire Egypt trip . The restaurant was great . Really good food ( had some amazing sushi at a very reasonable rate , great service and a lovely setting with a view . This hotel was a true oasis to come back to after crazy wonderful Cairo

Fantastic hotel in Maadi area. The Nile view was stunning and on clear days I could see the pyramids. The staff were amazing in all departments from housekeeping to dining to reception.

Fabulous hotel - clean, modern and beautifully decorated. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Our suite was huge for a family of 4. Separate bathroom, dressing room with laundry, small kitchen with full appliances, huge picture window out to Cairo and very comfortable beds. We had everything we needed. Hotel staff in the restaurants were also very helpful and service, while a little slow, was good. We dined for breakfast, lunch and dinner at 2 different restaurants over our 4 day stay.

Everything was perfect . Mustafa at reception upgraded us to a wonderful suite with an amazing view over the Nile . The most comfortable beds on our entire Egypt trip . The restaurant was great . Really good food ( had some amazing sushi at a very reasonable rate , great service and a lovely setting with a view . This hotel was a true oasis to come back to after crazy wonderful Cairo

The room itself was fine. I was in a suite, but it was oddly set up. There was clearly a spot where a couch should have been, but instead it was empty. No real place to sit and eat within the room aside from a small table near the kitchen that would fit one person. Outside of the hotel is a highway and it was constantly noisy. This might be true of many hotels in Cairo, but I found all the honking and noise to disturb my sleep. English communication was difficult unless speaking to the front desk. Even had a server at the hotel restaurant tell me I could not charge breakfast to my room. ATM in the hotel was broken the whole time I was there, when I asked about it, the front desk seemed to have no idea there was even an issue. Room would get quite hot throughout the day, but the staff would turn off the A/C when cleaning, so you always came back to a hot room. And this stay was in the winter, so I can only imagine the summer. There was a grocery store a couple minute walk away, which was convenient. Room service was adequate. Not amazing. They have a call policy if you leave do not disturb on for your room. It says as much in the hotel pamphlet, but would have been nice to know when checking in. I was woken up by them calling to check on me Not the safest area to be in. Very not-walkable. I'd stay again if I had to, but I mostly chose the location because I was working nearby.

Such a comfortable place to land while I was in Cairo. Loved the pool with a Nile view. You could even see pyramids in the distance when the air was clear! Maadi is a tourist area and I felt very safe.

the hotel offered beautiful views. However, there were several drawbacks that impacted my experience. Pros: Location: The hotel’s proximity to the Nile provided a stunning view. Friendly Staff: The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Cons: Noise Levels: The hotel is situated on a main street, resulting in significant traffic noise that made it difficult to relax. We stayed at this hotel for 4 days while we were travelling in Egypt. We chose a suite overlooking the Nile. Our room was amazing. It was large clean and comfortable. We have an great view of the Nile and on clear days we could see the pyramids of Giza. The staff were kind and helpful. Customer relations representative, Maryam was especially helpful. It was an added bonus to have a washer and dryer in our suite as it allowed us to pack less clothes for the trip. We signed up for the breakfast buffets. They had an excellent selection of foods including made to order omelettes. We ate dinner in some of their restaurants and always enjoyed good food.

Gym was not well equipped. Barbell: 5kg, 10kg, 15kg. Nothing between! Old rusty and not good, sorry. Room was sticky, walking barefoot from the shower to the bed and I had different things sticked to my feet. Very noisy from the street because the windows are cheap and not insulating. Breakfast: very simple and every day exactly the same. Not even water melon or cheap stuff. For 5 stars, it's not good.

Had a great stay at this hotel. The only issue I had was with the payment. I secured and confirmed a rate via hotels.com, when I checked in the hotel wanted to charge me a higher rate saying the confirmed rate didn’t include taxes. When I showed them the email confirmation that clearly shows that taxes were included they still wanted to overcharge me. The staff member who attended me (whose name I’ll keep anonymous to protect them) didn’t bother to even call a manager in to get the situation settled, he told me to call hotels.com which I did and thankfully hotels.com was able to get the situation clarified. When I went the next morning to pay my correct balance I spoke to two other employees who called in a manager who seemed irritated as I’m sure this case was brought to their attention by hotels.com. The manager then proceeds to tell me to come back in 2-3 hours for the system to update. I come back later in the evening and the original employee who attended me the first day apologized for the confusion and I settled my bill for the correct amount. While I’m grateful my case went well I’m sure there are countless others they tried to pull this trick on. Be careful and don’t take their word. Always save your confirmation emails and post comments so others are aware of their antics. Holiday Inn Global should read these comments for training and performance evaluation purposes as well.
