Although we were just transitting through and only had one night this was the highlight of our journey. The spaciousness of reception areas, dining and bar are unusual these days. Our grandchildren enjoyed the pool, slide and the games area. Rooms were also large and well catered. Very clean, very welcoming and easy parking.

Opal Cove is a nice resort but a bit tired. Lots of things were not functioning when we were there (the spa, the sauna, treadmills in the gym). We had 'happy hour' cocktails that were not terribly good and complaining wasn't an option (fell on dead ears). I used the EV charging station but again, service was terrible and the woman on reception didn't listen to me. Overall the stay was okay but customer service is poor - staff don't listen and just go into repeating the same sentence word for word until the customer goes away. Check out is 10am and we got a knock on the door at 10am prompt telling us the room was to be cleaned - despite asking the front desk for 10 mins more. We didn't feel welcome.

Lovely grounds by the beach. Just a short walk onto a beautiful beach. The pool area was nothing special. Had a swim up bar area but it wasn’t open when we were there. Couldn’t find where the pool towels come from. Rooms were clean and spacious. Staff were lovely. My biggest complaint is the air con is a central system so you either turn it off-if you can figure out how, I had to call reception because the temperature gauge does nothing, or have it at there temperature-which was really cold. So we asked for an extra blanket because our room was freezing by then and there was only one extra blanket for 2 beds and they didn’t have any in the whole hotel. I thought that was ridiculous.

Very outdated, most things broken, room flooded badly , links course not maintained so don’t bother, pool unheated and paint coming off, meals terrible , staff friendly . No compensation or sorry for bad experience. Booked a week so couldn’t get out.

Place is great place for kids besides the golf course and tennis court abandoned and uncared for. Food need to consider more options for kids with allergies when dining. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

Great place to stay. The bar and food choices are offered at a reasonable price. Rooms are well maintained. Service is at a minimum of fuss. Staff are all friendly and helpful. Great pool and spa. Nice walk along the privately accessed beach. Highly recommended!

We had a good stay; the property was clean and not far out of town but it needs a major renovation. The pool wasn’t heated, and a part from the spa broke which meant that that was cold too. The food in the restaurant was average, and some of the staff in there weren’t overly welcoming or helpful.

Stayed with my little fam and the place is very run down. There is no atmosphere, and the spa heating was not working. Little bit of music and lighting outside would mKe a nice difference. There were also cockroaches in our room. Would not stay here again.

Stayed there for four nights. Great overall experience. However the rooms need refurbishment including the bathroom. A/C wasn't regulating. Had to see reception the second day to ask how the A/C can be turned off.

Had other guest knock on our door at 1:00 and could hear everything in the room next door as it had an inter connecting door between us. News better sound proofing on the doors.

Lovely position. Rooms not insulated enough as could hear people in their rooms whilst in the corridors. Went out about 10.30 pm and couldn’t get back into property. They had a buzzer, but voice kept saying can’t help me now but leave a message. Did this twice - same reply. Eventually saw someone at reception and waved to them. They were unaware I had rang the buzzer or what the message said.

If your travelling north on the pacific highway getting to the resprt is somewhat tricky due to the roadworks which no longer allow a right turn to the resort as indicated by navigation . The first room I was given smelt musty after returning to reception I was given another room, in the meantime because of the delay in sorting out an acceptable room my meal in the restaurant was put on the dining table in my absence letting it go almost cold, the rice also had an inedible clustered lump of rice in it as if it had been scraped from the bottom of an old pot of rice although the lamb curry was actually delicious. In the bedroom I noticed hairs on the bottom sheet and which definitely weren’t mine and it generally looked unlaundered or poorly laundered. Staff seemed generally offhand somewhat curt apart from the guy maintaining the pool who had a frendly attitude. The beach although close by os definitely not swimmer friendly due to rips and drop offs.

Overall the stay was okay but customer service is poor - staff don't listen and just go into repeating the same sentence word for word until the customer goes away. Check out is 10am and we got a knock on the door at 10am prompt telling us the room was to be cleaned - despite asking the front desk for 10 mins more. We didn't feel welcome.

We had a lovely stay. Our booking was given to someone else by accident, but the situation was rectified to satisfaction. Lovely resort and visitors to the balcony (kookaburras) in the morning.

Whilst we enjoyed every moment in the pool and meeting new people, we knew that we'd only return for that reason. The restaurant is convenient but expensive for the quality and service. Every meal there was a mistake or something forgotten, it boiled down to lack of staff and it being busy. The staff tried their best, but appeared overwhelmed. The rooms are basic, clean and cold, as the temperature couldn't be adjusted. We still had a nice time and were left alone and that's always a plus.

Tranquilla posizione fronte oceano, con accesso diretto alla spiaggia e splendida vista, ma è un po' fuori città, quindi è comune guidare. Alcuni ospiti hanno trovato i lavori stradali rendano l'ingresso complicato e hanno notato che la spiaggia è spesso priva di bagnini/con mare mosso.

Staff were fantastic- every staff member we spoke to was so lovely and helpful - hotel itself was a little bit out of the way in Coffs, so had to drive everywhere which was mae harder by extensive road works (obviously not hotel’s fault - it just lengthened the travel), beach straight out the back but no life guards - lovely hotel just a little aged now - would stay again

Coffs Harbour surprised with lots more traffic and busyness around the place. Standing on the balcony after check-in gave a sense of calmness-with 180 degree Ocean views and nature setting. It is a family/ conference venue though so don’t expect it to be a yoga retreat. Staff was friendly. Food as you’d expect it with nice pool area and two king size beds with enough room to sleep family of 4 ( kids 10&13).good wireless internet and gym.

The resort is situated not far City Center, quiet and convenient. Have no hassles getting to and from the resort. The staff are friendly. Its my 2nd time staying there and I would be staying there in near future.

One night stay on a road trip to Brisbane, hotel needs renovating, clean and tidy but lacks atmosphere. Quiet location, all facilities are there clean and tidy, but just lacks atmosphere. Short walk at the back of the property to the beach but its not swimmable - very rough. Nice short walk through the bush to other beaches as well

Great beachside location! Lots of family-friendly facilities, the kids loved the pool, spa and games room Restaurant served delicious meals, and the bar prices were very reasonable. All in all a pleasant spot to stay in Coffs.

We had a good stay; the property was clean and not far out of town but it needs a major renovation. The pool wasn’t heated, and a part from the spa broke which meant that that was cold too. The food in the restaurant was average, and some of the staff in there weren’t overly welcoming or helpful.

Opal Cove definitely needs a refurb. Plus due to construction of the Coffs Harbour by pass they need to tell their guests how to get to the property and having said that we will not be coming back.

staff at check in was not friendly or experienced sent me to the wrong room. I booked a disabled room & there was nothing about the room that was disabled friendly, she kept saying what is wrong with the room. the rooms have no aircon or fans that you can control, it is controlled by reception so I was very cold Breakfast was terrible & overpriced for what is there. the drive into or from Town is a nightmare because it is right in the middle of road works, you have to go way out of your way to do a U turn to get back to the Hotel. the 2 disabled spots were often taken by no permit holders so then you have to walk up uneven paths to get to the Hotel & the Lightning was not good please carry a torch to see. not a pleasant stay
