Hotel reception looks modern, got room upgrade to a more spacious room with complimentary drinks. The room looked a little worn but comfortable. Brilliant bar with a lovely large terrace with views of the river Mersey.

Stayed at the Mercure AT many times. Never fails to provide accommodation that is luxury but affordable. Had an issue with the room this time, no A/C. Spoke to reception who had us moved to a new room immediately. Offered to help us move rooms and upgraded us for the disturbance. Only downside was being on the 11th floor and only 1 lift out of 3 working.

Ideally located in the heart of the city with the albert dock across the road Great very of the mersey from some rooms! Staff were numerous and very attentive Breakfast was okay so if you have the time Lots of outside choice Parking just 2 mins away

It got off to a bad start!!! A notice outside the hotel said the car park was £10 for 24hrs stay….it was £14 then the car park itself, was very small, with a lot of spaces being reserved. We managed to get a space but it was very tight, meaning we were worried that damage could be done to the car. Then the room itself was nice and clean, the bed was so uncomfortable, that sleep didn’t come, and a few snatched moments of sleep was all we got. Thought it might have been just me, but my husband said it too, and that he didn’t sleep well either. Also on check in, we were told breakfast would be £16 each. When we got to b/fast, we were told it was £18, but we told the woman what we were told and she marked it at £16. Shouldn’t have had to do this. B/fast itself was not worth the money! Very slow in topping up the items that had run out, plus when you went up, sauces, cutlery and food was sparse! We won’t want to come back to this hotel purely because of what I’ve said, and I wouldn’t recommend to my friends. Other people’s reviews will probably be different to mine, and that’s fine, but our experience was not that great. If we had had a decent nights sleep, and the bed and pillows were comfortable, then this might not be so moany!!!

The hotel gave us a free upgrade which I was really pleased with. Unfortunately if you want a late night drink you will be disappointed as the bar closed early. The only alternative was a drinks fridge in the lounge selling beers, wine etc but the hotel staff couldn’t provide anything to drink out of.

We stayed for 2 nights in a standard twin room. The hotel, rooms etc are looking very tired and in desperate need of a refurbishment. The old air con unit in the room was really noisy. We felt the choice at breakfast was very limited, to experiences in other Mecure hotels. Vista the main restaurant was closed in the evening and our only choice for food at the hotel was VU, which had very limited choices. On the plus side, great location and really friendly helpful staff.

Although the property was quite dated, the room was very spacious and clean. We went to the gin bar and the young lad who served us had amazing customer service - he admitted it was his first day and even though it took a while to get our drinks, his honesty was refreshing. A shame this service was not shared by all as we returned later for a bottle of wine and the service then was sullen and a little judgmental when we ordered a second bottle. The lifts at the property were very slow and it took forever to get one to stop. Parking was not on site and cost £13 which I feel should have been communicated in advance. Breakfast was a bit of a disappointment - dry hash browns and watery mushrooms. However the bacon was very tasty. The hotel was convenient for what we needed but wouldn’t stay for a special occasion

Stayed for two nights. It was expensive at £180 per night. The room was small although the view over the Mersey was great. Large comfy bed, good shower. We were on the 7th floor and only one out of three lifts were working. Staff were friendly and helpful. Not sure if I'd stay again, though.

Nice hotel, decent views. Friendly, helpful staff. Baths as well as showers. Nice reception and waiting area. Good amenities. Close to lots of places by foot and they offer you a map as well. Outside could do with a clean, facade and windows quite dirty but inside very clean. Mattress protector under sheet was very stained. Beds are very close together in twin room, basically a double room. Iron and ironing board, hair dryer and tea making facilities in room as well as shampoo, body and hand wash in bathroom.

The bedding was disgusting, the room was smelly like a hoover bag which needed changed,housekeeping not up to standard as didn’t empty bins & replenish supplies in the room. Did get a room change but the noise from other hotel guests was really bad & nothing done about it. I did complain but wasn’t offered any compensation. Will not stay at any Mercure hotel again and would not recommend it to any of my family or friends.

Hotel was very clean but a little tired. Curtains were worn a bit and had some holes in. Bath had a cigarette burn. Toilet was squeezed in behind a door. Toilet paper cheap and thin. Mattress was to hard. Other than that staff very helpful. I felt extremely looked after at breakfast with my gluten free diet.

I usually give places the benefit of the doubt however the room was over £100 for a single night so is being judged on that basis. I was expecting it to be basic and a bit tired as I know the hotel has been there for years so the issues below go beyond ageing decor etc. Unfortunately there were some minor issues with cleanliness and broken components. The towel rail and toilet roll holders were both broken, both of the mugs provided were dirty, one hadn’t been washed properly and the other had a hair in it. The kettle didn’t automatically switch off when it boiled and so the plastic handle heated up to the point I could only pick it up using a towel. I also found it in the cabinet with about an inch of stagnant water still in the bottom. There were also clear, and what looked to be fresh, stains on the carpet and at the foot of the bed. It looked like a spill from the previous occupant that hadn’t been cleaned properly. As I say, these were largely trivial issues and I don’t usually complain but I paid just over £100 for 1 night so was a bit disappointed. That said, the staff were very friendly and I’m sure they would have helped had I raised these issues at the time. In reality I didn’t actually spend much time in the room other than to sleep. The location for anyone not from Liverpool is ideal. It’s quiet at night but close to the pier head, shops and Albert dock. As I say, I would definitely recommend if it was cheaper or I didn’t encounter the few issues mentioned above.

The air con didnt work, when it was on it would be on for about 10 minutes then would turn itself off, not great considering the room was tiny and the windows couldnt be opened, it got extremely stuffy. There was no hot water in the morning for a shower. There were only 2 mirrors in the room, 1st one in the main room not great with a light to the right couldnt really use this one to do my hair and makeup so had to iterrupt my fiancee whilst he took a bath to use the one in the bathroom, highly recomend a new position closer to the window

Drunk customers kept us awake until 3am in the corridoor, toilet was flushing the whole night so also couldn't sleep through that. Nobody available to speak to through the night to let know. When I tried to speak to a member of staff when I checked out at 8:30am when it was time to check out about no sleep and the reasons why, there was only one member of staff and he was on the phone with someone the whole time so as I was in a rush I could not wait any longer.

Waited over 2 hours for room service told several different stories why the problem of service was so bad. No diet drinks options in make shift bar downstairs. No phones in room awkward set up to get anything. Very basic room no air con.

Hotel was great! Absolutely no complaints. Ideal location for us, staff were lovely, especially Ennau who checked us in, wonderful welcome and really looked after us

Unfortunately we had to leave early due to an emergency at home so never got to stay the whole night but our first impressions were excellent! The two female staff that were in duty 28/20/25 about 9pm were so friendly. When we checked out again later the night staff was an equally friendly guy! View was fab, room was great, decor lovely and bed comfy-for the time we were in it! Gutted to have had our visit cut short but we were impressed by what we saw in the short time we were there!

Having stayed at the Mercure Atlantic Towers for a number of years, it was disheartening to find out the ‘digital aspects’ are taking away from the quality customer service. Gone are the days when you could speak to reception by phone, now you have to Whatsapp, wait for a reply. All very frustrating and long winded. Ordered room service due to it being a packed Liverpool Parade Day, we were given a time of delivery, but the food didn’t arrive until an hour after that. I appreciate it was a busy day due to the Parade, unfortunately customer service just wasn’t up to the standard we have come to expect from this property.

It was in the centre of the city and close by to all areas. That was a bonus - and probably why it was so expensive. There was room for better housekeeping however - we had to ask for more towels - water did not drain very well from the sink- there wasn’t spare toilet roll and when I had a shower - no shower gel. Good variety in the breakfast buffet - but ordering eggs could be troublesome. They would arrive after you had finished eating your full english. The croissants could be fresher too - they were dry and hard.

Check in was great no issues staff very friendly, room was decent no issues, but had a gripe with the breakfast. Food was slow coming out for cooked breakfast. Bacon over cooked, sausages very cheap and tasteless, no option of egg besides scrambled, hash browns over cooked, no mushrooms or black pudding? I stayed at mercure Manchester Piccadilly recently and the breakfast there was far better. Never had to wait for food to come out as it was always full. Need to do better with breakfast but the rest of hotel was great thanks

We stayed for 2 nights in a standard twin room. The hotel, rooms etc are looking very tired and in desperate need of a refurbishment. The old air con unit in the room was really noisy. We felt the choice at breakfast was very limited, to experiences in other Mecure hotels. Vista the main restaurant was closed in the evening and our only choice for food at the hotel was VU, which had very limited choices. On the plus side, great location and really friendly helpful staff.

Upon arrival we were greeted by very friendly Reception staff, who informed us that we had been upgraded to a suite, with the most amazing views of the Mersey, Liverbird building and other iconic buildings. Check in was very friendly, efficient and welcoming. The Queen Elizabeth Suite was huge and the view was amazing. The bedroom was very modern, with a very comfortable king size bed and luxurious bedding. The living room was a bit dated/ tired in areas, but probably in keeping with it being the Queen Elizabeth Suite. The bathroom was very large, with a modern corner bath and separate shower. Soft fluffy towels and good quality shower/shampoo etc. Our front door was difficult to open, but Reception are going to get that sorted. The room had great air con/heating system which is modern and very easy to use. A large TV on the bedroom and lounge. Breakfast was very good value. Lots of branded choices and the food was hot. Staff were very friendly and welcoming there. Once again the view was amazing, a lower level view of what we enjoyed from our 12th floor room. We had a wonderful stay at this lovely hotel. Would definitely recommend the suite that we stayed in, as you could watch the boats sail by and see if a cruise was in dock. We can't wait to go back and hopefully stay in that room again. Thanks to all of the wonderful staff, who are happy to help with anything at all.

We had a problem with the heating in our room, so we were moved to another room, which we appreciated. Main bedroom area is modern, but the pine wardrobes need attention - smell musty and look old fashioned. In need of updating. Bed was comfortable and a big tv! Didn't have breakfast as felt it was overpriced.
