Novotel Manchester Centre

Room was fine. Steam room had no steam and sauna wasn’t very hot.

Gym was great. Friendly staff. Nice location. Some breakfast items need to be fresher.

Clean hotel great location for the Q Park which has 24/7 access. Quick check in, room fine for 1 night stay

Car park charged £35. Website not clear on the charges so this added to the overall cost. Not happy.

Great location, good breakfest, good service, 38 pounds overnight parking was the only downside

Sauna not working - been here waiting for over an hour!

Great value for money and right in the heart of Manchester. Great gym and sauna facility and quite good pub (24 Hours)…great place to stay in the city centre.

Parking was £33 pounds a night ?good points clean good breakfast , bad points toilets was very poor they felt loose when u sit on them like they was going come off the wall not comfortable what so ever

Reception was fantastic and very welcoming, my room was clean and comfortable although a few carpet stains were noticeable. The bar downstairs was great (although I only had one drink being a solo traveller), and breakfast was good although it was so busy on the second morning that it was slightly uncomfortable with guests bouncing all over the place randomly, but I didn't bother with breakfast on the other mornings anyway as I didn't have the time so no real issues here either Overall a great hotel for the money and great location as well. I walked to the station in less than 15 minutes at a leisurely stroll

Lovely stay so central, the guy at check in & same person at checkout was so nice & helpful. Hotel so clean & had a lovely few days. Bar/restaurant was so cosy. No complaints only the mattress was uncomfortable & hard. That will still not stop me coming would highly recommend. Thank you for a lovely stay.

When we recieved the room it was not cleaned, throughout the day we found small things what were not cleaned, for example empty bag of chips and glass under the bed.

Cigarettes left uncleaned in the room. Cleaner said they couldn’t see them because of a window. We saw them within a minute of being in the room. Bin in corridor overflowing with nappies. Stunk. Disgusting cleanliness.

We had an amazing stay the room was beautiful and spotless the hotel was very central and the staff were very friendly.

Nice hotel but not very clean in the rooms

I travel from Malta to Manchester frequently, and I always choose the Novotel Manchester Centre for my accommodation. It is centrally located, the room rates per night are very reasonable, the staff are friendly, and the rooms are always clean and tidy. Breakfast is also good and includes a lot of items. Highly recommended for those traveling with family, especially children.

Ok hotel in the city center. Mold in the bathroom. Staff was stressed but remained friendly.

Room carpet and curtains were dusty an didn’t give a clean appearance. Very outdated facilities, such as bathroom and separate WC. The usb charging plug did not work. Very limited breakfast options for gluten and lactose intolerance. No Lactose free yoghurt, for example.

Very dirty old hotel. No cleaning service during the stay. The only good thing is the Breakfast. Horrible experience!

Everything good. USB ports next to bed didnt work though which was frustrating

Modern, comfortable room. Located just close enough to the centre without being on top of it. A little bit of outside noise in the night. On the whole good. A large comfortable bed, convenient lighting controls, USB A everywhere (you need an adaptor for everything else). Bathroom was clean and modern. Separate toilet room. Smart TV, strangely but connected to the internet.

Needs updating

Stayed one night and would definitely use this hotel again. I stayed in a superior twin room and it was clean, spacious, sound proof (never heard a thing to disturb us) and it had everything I needed for my stay. I chose this hotel for it's location as it was near the Palace Theatre and the railway station. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, check in was very quick. I didn't use the bar or eat in the hotel but it all looked very nice and welcoming. Really enjoyed my stay and will book again.

The room was large and comfortable. The only negative was that the mattress was too firm which led to an uncomfortable sleep. The location of the hotel is good and near to the centre.

We stayed for one night as a family whilst at the theatre. Great location for the theatre and the main shops.Hotel itself was lovely, as were the staff. For us the only negative was the view from the rooms. Both our rooms looked over unkept derelict wasteland. Keep the curtains closed and you should be happy.

We paid £32 for car parking. The hotel is lovely when you walk in. Service fantastic. The room itself was too warm. Air con did not work or there wasn't any? Now im heavily pregnant but the bed was hard, i had 1 flimsy pillow my partner had a terrible sleep too so probably the bed? The bathroom sink is awkward to fill kettle up. I had no sleep at all. Didnt have breakfast as we didnt want to pay an extra £30. The curtains were fantastic except we could not sleep at all. It was a very long night. If you like going bed hot and lying on a hard flat pillowed bed then this hotel is perfect for you. We wont come here again but you live and learn.

Our 3rd floor room was right below what sounded like the workout room. Very annoying. Also the cot they provided was very narrow and the mattress was too firm.

Arrived with a concierge mumbling something about he needs to take our bags. Being half deaf I couldn’t hear him. He wrapped some tags around our bags and was walking away with them when I had no idea what was happening. I asked him and found out he was storing them as the room wasn’t ready, I had to ask him to slow down as I neeeded something out of my bag first. All happened so quickly I was gobsmacked and so put out. When our room was ready I then went to ask reception for my bags back and saw a man in Novotel uniform and asked him as I could see the reception staff were busy. The coloured lady not only told the member of staff off but myself. I’m sorry but I do not take kindly to being spoken to like that. I’ve been staying at that hotel in Manchester for over 20yrs on and off every time I visit the theatre and never in all of those years have I had that kind of treatment off of any of the staff. They have always been extremely polite. I’ve never, ever had to put a bad review in about the hotel either but I feel it’s important I do on this occasion as no one should be treated like a second class citizen especially in their own country. Very, very disappointed with the check in procedure, the whole experience has really put me off ever staying there again as the service has become like a Travelodge, had I wanted that service I would have booked into the travelodge over the road. I do not expect to pay a premium rate fee for a room to get spoken to the way I did. Retrain

Check in was very unfriendly and the staff did not make you feel welcome or wanted. They want to take your payment and move you out of the way quickly. Very impersonal, and very low standard of customer service.

Staff were helpful, friendly, cracked a joke, was even able to get into a nicer room, really good value too, would stay again

Great staff especially at the front desk. Marois was very helpful from check in to getting my taxi to the airport at departure!

The staff was great from check in to check out. Mario took good care of us at check in and the rest of the staff was nice to deal with throughout our 2 week stay. Nicest hotel in the immediate area & I'm glad we chose Novotel.

Leak in toilet ceiling, no maintence staff on duty. We packed up & moved by ourselves to another room which had problem with heating vent buzzing non stop, staff turned off the heating, previous occupant an Airline Pilot complained about being kept awake all night. Why move a family of 4 into another room with problems, plus we waited 3 hrs for another bed to be brought into the room for one child. Manager offered us a complimemtary drink at the Bar and then tried to charge us for the drinks on the bill. The Manager was not helpful at all. Breakfast cost £15 pp there were lots of empty hot trays with no food in E.g. like Eggs, staff were very slow at replacing the food, variety of fruit, meats, cheese very poor and no yogurts. Area good near Chinatown. We would not stay at this hotel ever again. One dissatisfied customer.

Perfect location in the City Centre, close to Oxford Rd Rail station and metro. Staff at the hotel reception were top class to be fair.

Did what was needed. No complaints. Manchester as a city is getting a bit rougher though. Still some nice bars and eateries in ththe city and walkable within 10-15 minutes.

All good, walkable and food options. Very crowded over the wkend. Near chinatown.

Hotel was fine and staff were very good. Breakfast was ok but main restaurant meal was appalling. Mixed grill £25 was cremated horrible spoiled the whole hotel experience

Wonderful experience! Our recent stay at the Novotel Hotel Manchester Centre was a great experience. Friendly and helpful staff, comfortable room, a great breakfast buffet and a truly central location make it a top-notch option when in Manchester. Would definitely stay there again for future visits.

Two guys on Reception, Pasquales and Marius, were excellent - friendly, courteous and helpful. the service in the restaurant was slow.

Parking was a bit of nightmare to find info on but I got it prebooked and sorted - even with discount still over£30 for 24 hours. Great hotel location but room was boiling and hard to cool down and toilet very small - hard to get in and close the door and in a size 8. Breakfast was only ok - kept running out and not replenished quick enough, lots cold,hardly any fresh fruit and no granola. Ok sums it up and for £311 for a family room I expected more.
