The hotel was well positioned and had a lovely garden and pool area. We had a junior suite which was very comfortable with balcony and good view. For a hotel of its status and daily charges, we were however, very disappointed with the limited restaurant choices. The pool bar/ restaurant was fine but the dinner options were very limited. We also did not like the digital menus which were difficult to load and use. We arrived from the airport at around 10.30am on the 5th October but were not able to access our room until 3pm. There was no apology offered or any attempt made to make us feel at home. I consider that this attitude was not in keeping with the perceived services offered by a 5 star hotel. The restaurant and bar service on the other hand was generally very good. In summary if asked, I could not recommend the hotel to any of my friends and would not choose to stay there again if I returned to Marrakech.

Love the heated pool and the location!

At check-out bill was padded with extra charges for mini bar which I did not use. This has happened to me before in Morocco. Check your bill. Service in night club was extremely slow, almost non-existent. Music was so loud you had to write to order anything. Conversation was impossible. I was granted access to the smaller heated pool, which I appreciated, but was told access was normally limited to members of a special club. Considering what I paid, access to the pool, should not have been restricted. The larger pool was much less interesting.

Fantastic facilities, service and location. Will be back again soon.

Nous avons été acceuilli part une charmante demoiselle le 31 aout, l'ensemble du personnel est au petit soin. La chambre que nous avons eu etait trés propre, bien équipée et agréable, côté piscine avec un joli bacon, un vrai bonheur. Le petit dejuener au top avec des produits de qualité, et bravo a notre cuisto ( le monsieur qui prépare les oeufs )chanteur qui met l'ambiance et un magnifique sourire !!! L'hôtel est situé dans un quartier très prisé de Marrakech non loin de la place Djamel Efna et le soir, nous avons pu sortir a pied a coté de restaurants et de l'annimation nocture de cette jolie ville Marocaine. Nice grounds, little dated but nicely kept up hotel. Really nice pool area and grounds, well located within Marrakesh. What's truly lacking is the service. 1. The driver to the airport didn't turn up for 20 minutes and the hotel didn't pick up the phone. Not a nice welcome. 2. Random man walk into your room without knocking at 22:30 in the evening with 'waters'. Strange timing & knocking definitely needed. 3. Do not disturb sign totally disregarded. Again, without knocking a woman barges into the room in the morning, searching for another guest. When sent out, reception calls calling that other guest's name (totally different from mine). They could have easily check who is staying in the room, should not have disregarded the do not disturb sign etc. Somehow staff also make a point of not greeting anyone, just looking the other way when one says hello.

Very well located, Confortable rooms, beautiful gardens

Magnifique hôtel avec un jardin luxuriant et de très belles piscines dont une est chauffée et c’est dommage pour les autres piscines le bémol aussi on a séjourné dans des chambres au Rez de chaussée qui sont sombres alors que les chambres côté piscine sont bien mieux au niveau luminosité Mais reste un des meilleurs hôtels qu’on a fréquenté car nous voyageons beaucoup dans le monde

J'aime les hôtels Sofitel, leur propreté, leur confort et la qualité du service qu'ils offrent. Je n'ai pas trouvé cela au Sofitel de Marrakech. L'impression générale - peut-être en raison d'un long congé au Maroc lors de notre séjour - était d'être dans un hôtel "tout inclus" de bord de mer. Cela dit, au delà du désordre lors des petits-déjeuners et autour de la piscine, l'hôtel est défraichi et pas très propre. Tout est brun et sombre, les corridors, les chambres, les meubles. Tout. Le manque d'éclairage est parfois étonnant. Ainsi, dans l'ascenseur vers la piscine, il fallait utiliser mon téléphone pour sélectionner l'étage. Dans notre chambre (36x), tant la toilette que la douche n'étaient pas très propres. Au petit-déjeuner, la table n'avait pas été bien nettoyée et malgré nos demandes le seul café qui nous a été servi était à peine buvable. Tout ça est vraiment décevant, car j'ai toujours aimé mes séjour dans les Sofitel avant cette visite à Marrakech. Sofitel, vous pouvez faire tellement mieux!

Me and my husband stayed here for one night. The hotel itself is beautiful, spacious, and very nice. The breakfast was amazing. The only issue was that, for the price you’re paying for a single night, you wouldn’t expect certain problems. The curtain in our bedroom was torn, and the shower’s on/off switch was coming loose. You’d think you wouldn’t encounter issues like these in a five-star hotel

Ruidosa, alfombra sucia, baño deteriorados.

Very dirty, shower didn’t drain, bathroom was moldy, floor was filthy, service horrendous.

Room was exceptional and very clean. Without exception the staff were friendly, helpful and respectful.

Beautiful clean property, close to all major monuments, friendly professional staff. Will definitely go back.

Nous sommes arrivés mardi et reparti dimanche le problème à notre arrivée belle accueil ensuite une fois installé ce n’était plus la même obligé de réclamer des serviettes car nous étions 2 et on nous mettait 1 seule serviette, nous avons réclamé du café 3 jours de suite et rien pour finir la réception que j’ai eut au téléphone me répond que le café est payant j’ai répondu ce n’est pas la question quand on prend une suite à plus de 500€ la nuit on n’est pas à un café près.

The staff was extremely non responsive and unaccommodating. We had several basic requests and the staff took sometimes over 2 hrs to respond. The housekeeping was HORRIBLE!!! Floor was not vacuumed. No wash cloths, linens on the bed were not changed daily. Coffee pot not cleaned and water wasn’t refreshed. The men that worked at the front desk were VERY RUDE and abrasive, from being questioned. I was not happy with this property.

J ai réservé une chambre de luxe avec vue et j ai eu une chambre avec vue sur la route Donc on a demandé à changer de chambre et cela avec un supplément La 2 eme chambre était super avec vue jardin et piscine et très confortable

Nous avons eu une suite junior Problème de fuite d’eau dans les toilette et problème de fermeture de la porte du balcon donc impossible de dormir avec le sifflement . Je les signaler dès mon arrivée et il nous ont changer de chambres le dernier jours .

I had to wait till 5:30pm to check in as my room was not ready. Garden view rooms were next to a nightclub and was always woken up in the middle of night by fighting and noisy revellers. Not much of of a quite weekend trip.

Stunning building and is high end luxury in the lobbies and stunning grounds, but room was very basic compared to the expected standards. Staff super friendly, respectful and helpful. Bed was so great and comfortable. Just felt for the price and expected 5 star experience it fell short of the mark for me.

Overall, the service was good. However, the rooms were overpriced for an outdated style, very small, and poorly lit. The room quality was not up to par; we actually considered leaving after checking into the hotel.

Fantastic hotel near the Old Town of Marrakech. The rooms were huge and well laid out. The staff were friendly and courteous, and the gardens were a delighted. A beautiful hotel.

Notre séjour à Marrakech a été totalement déconcertant. En raison d'un séminaire de start-up, les prix avaient été multipliés par quatre, et nous avons payé 1250 € pour deux nuits sans petit-déjeuner. Le pire, c'est que l'hôtel se trouve en face d'une discothèque, rendant impossible tout sommeil avant 4 heures du matin. Après nos réclamations, le directeur Amine a changé nos chambres. Cependant, la nouvelle chambre était également située en face de la discothèque, mais à un étage supérieur. Nous avons voulu quitter l'établissement pour changer d'hôtel, mais le directeur nous a informés qu'un remboursement n'était pas possible car nous avions réservé via Hotels.com, et que nous devions donc terminer notre séjour. Il nous a offert une remise de 20 % sur les extras, soit 90 €, pour un total de 1600 € réglés pour deux nuits. Je déconseille fortement cet établissement si vous souhaitez dormir au calme. Le directeur nous a clairement indiqué que la direction du groupe Accor était au courant du problème, mais en attendant, ils encaissent des prix exorbitants sans prévenir les clients.

The property is expensive. The room is dull and dark. There isn’t much sunshine entering the room from the windows. Surprised to know that there was no bidet in the suite. There is a lot of not utilized space allocation in the lobby and corridors. Not the best of experience.

Accueil très froid à notre arrivée car nous avions 40 minutes d’avance sur l’heure officielle de Check in. Hôtel full donc nous n’avons pas eu la chambre réservée (pas de balcon). Avec un enfant de 6 ans allant au lit à 20h c’était un must pour avoir un semblant de soirée. Réveil à 22h le premier soir par la femme de chambre. Puis à 23h par un vacarme assourdissant: DJ set sous nos fenêtres qui a duré jusqu’au petit matin. Le lendemain on nous a changés de chambre mais pas au Palais Impérial, au Lounge & Spa. Cette fois ci, orchestre du restaurant sous nos fenêtres. Hôtel à déconseiller si vous êtes à la recherche de calme et de service. Les personnes de la sécurité à l’entrée et la dame s’occupant des VIPs ont fait exception à la règle et ont été sympathiques et efficaces.

I recently stayed at the Sofitel and was impressed by the beautiful surroundings — the hotel is clean, stylish, and well-maintained, with lovely interiors that create a luxurious atmosphere. However, the service didn’t match the setting. While there were plenty of staff around, there seemed to be a lack of communication between them. Requests were often delayed or forgotten, and it felt like no one really knew what was going on. The service was noticeably slow throughout the stay, which took away from the overall experience. A stunning hotel with great potential, but the management and coordination behind the scenes need serious improvement.

The check in was very slow and unorganised, I had to go through three persons, after an hour of wait, I asked for the manager and this is when I was able to check in.

You need to be careful about their charges. My room was paid in advance via Expedia. I had to pay only local tax. They took the credit card info as a hold and one day after I see that they have charged the whole amount t again via my credit card. Fortunately I was coming back to Marrakech again and complained and they reversed the charge. If I left the country I’m sure it would have been a headache to get a refund. Please make sure that they do not double charge you. Other than that the service was good.

Amazing! Front desk and concierge were very accommodating. The location of hotel was walking distance to all the hot spots! Hotel is stunning, pool food was delish I can’t wait to return!

Beautiful property, great location, safe neighbourhood. Lovely rooms. Meal at SO Lounge was delicious. Didn’t feel the same with lunch by the pool or the breakfast. In terms of service, it always felt as if what we asked for was a bother - I asked for a clarification since I had booked a room that included breakfast (had the email to confirm), they said it wasn’t included and that they would connect with the reservations team to determine the problem. Never heard from anyone with any clarification.

Det som drar dette hotellet ned fra 5/5 til 4/5 for meg er reglen på mat og drikke. Det var ikke lov og ta med noe form for mat inn på hotellet. Alt på hotellet var utrolig priset. 1 liter med vann og 0,33 ML cola kostet oss 25 euro! Dette syns jeg var litt i overkant.

落ち着きがあり、予想以上によい施設でした。フナ広場は徒歩圏内です。

Lovely location and wonderful staff in all departments.

Nicely located at a quiet neighbourhood and still possible to walk to the city centre. Personnel was very helpful and friendly and the breakfast quite good quality and choice.

Excellent property, very good breakfast

En general todo muy bien. Solo que el desayuno lo abren a determinada hora (me parece que a las 7am) y a esa hora no puedes pedir todo lo que se supone que incluye. En el caso concreto, no nos dejaron pedir huevos benedictinos, porque no tenían los insumos hasta las 8am.

LIKED: super friendly staff and helpful, location is great, beautiful grounds DISLIKED: Not allowed to bring in outside food. One of us is Gluten Free and kids are picky eaters so options are limited at the hotel. I understand not having outside food in the lobby or grounds but in the privacy of your own room? For a 5 star resort this was very strange and we have stayed at several accor properties and are accor members. This is the first time we experinced this. If you are ok with only eating at the hotel then this place is amazing. If you like freedom to choose I would select else where.

The property is quite nice… the arrival is beautiful and after a long trip it was nice to finally arrive home for the next 10 days! The hotel staff is welcoming and hotel smells great all setting a great start to the vacation! The room is pleasantly appointed although it is getting a little dated and will need some refreshing soon! However everything is clean although the rug appears to have a stains it is still ok. We also took the option of including the breakfast buffet with the room! I this trip I booked two rooms … the first few mornings are great with a well organized breakfast room allowing to have breakfast outside on the lanai covered from the hot sun… the breakfast buffet is well set up .. as this room is expressly made for this with orderly breakfast stations and something for every taste! The service is great and very attentive! This unfortunately does not last for our entire stay as the breakfast room is made unavailable to guests as a large group is coming in and headed to the hotel and will now be exclusively using this location! Breakfast for guests is moved to a second level which is clearly not prepared for the breakfast crowd.. interior room is somewhat limited and outside patio is not equipped with only 4 or 6 sun umbrellas leaving most people simply sitting in the direct sun for breakfast… although the staff are trying to make this work the buffet is oddly set up, things are not tidy and tables dirty! Not to the standard of this hotel chain!

What a crashing disappointment. In 30 years, 49 countries, and a few hundred hotels, I've never felt compelled to complain (I know some people are serial complainers - that's not me) or leave a bad review. Housekeeping, reception staff etc were all great, and physically the hotel is nice and well appointed... ...but crumbs, the management, policies, and F&B staff were beyond woeful. Having bags rifled through on the door (we saw an elderly couple having water confiscated - in 40 degree heat), waiting 30 minutes and after three chases getting service from a pool bar (multiple times, I may add)... but worst, having selected a couple of loungers on the completely empty terrace next to our room (with no signage whatsoever saying it was restricted - and even then, we arrived after the 18:00 restriction time), we were ordered to leave by first a member of bar staff, my partner still dripping wet, then guest relations (!), and threatened with a fine of 500 Dirham if we didn't leave immediately. Never have I been so appalled by what claims to be a 5 star hotel - the Raffles, the Peninsula, Nobu, and frankly, a even a Travelodge puts this hotel to shame.
