The room was great. King sized bed very comfortable , Shower excellent. Off street parking good but tight for a big SUV. Security covered outside areas. Staff pleasant and obliging.It was a pity the Cafe was closed.

Staff were friendly, room was clean. One power point was hanging out of the wall with wires exposed. Room could do with a freshen up, paint, general dings, wear and tear fixed. Was a little noisy and car park was a bit difficult to navigate at times. Unfortunately the coffee shop/restaurant was closed.

It was clean and comfortable but that's as far as it went. Signs that its getting a bit tired - sticking bathroom door, dirty external windows (but it was the second floor). And poor overall design. TV faces the bed ( - OK) but the couch just looks into the bathroom. Having a very mini kitchen eg having a sink and 2 plates and 2 knives and forkes was appreciated. (I hate it when you have to try and fill a kettle from the bathroon tap.) Most dissapointing was that there was no sign that the attached and advertised breakfast/coffee bit was active. The room for this exists but it just had rubbish bags stacked against the door. No wake-up coffee! Oh- and dont try and take even a half decent sized car into the parking space. We had a jeep and even with the mirrors folded in every proximity alarm went off in RED. ie it is a real squeeze between the wooden fence and the shubbery.

To some extent you get what you pay for but so much more could have been done to make this place cleaner and more comfortable. Very dirty property in general (hallways, windows etc) and rooms ok but aging with broken/not working facilities and in general run down.

When we checked in the whole 1st floor smelled like vomit. We went to a sporting event and came back to our room at 10pm and there was a stench of sewerage. No idea where the smell was coming from. We checked out before reception opened. This was our worst accommodation experience ever.

Room was tired & in desperate need of a refurb. I had no towels & had to call reception to get some after hours. The bed looked like someone had slept in it & then made it again. The toilet looked like someone had used it & not flushed properly. Shower/tub floor had grey scum on the bottom that you get from not cleaning it regularly. Honestly - I thought the room they gave me was someone else’s & it was given to me by mistake. Staff were lovely, couldn’t fault them. But the room was definitely subpar & unclean

The bed and linen were acceptable however nothing else was. The tap fell off the wall, stains, cobwebs and dirt were on all fittings and fixtures. And hammering & sounds as if the ceiling was about to come down on us from 7.30am. Avoid!

Loved the location, easy walk to the MCG! This Hotel needs major updating. I feel the cleaners did the best they could with what they had to work with, which is old. Beds were comfortable and staff were helpfull, but those were its only redeeming features - youre paying for location in relation to the MCG.

I selected this hotel as it was close to St Vincents' Hospital which I needed to attend early the next morning for an Angiogram. On arrival, this place looked very smart, the desk staff were very helpful, and my room, on entering, looked very smart and clean. Later I noticed a fair bit of damage to the ceiling in the bedroom (water damage or condensation.) Then trying to freshen up after a long and tireing trip I kept banging my head on a glass shelf over the basin and the shower door will only half open as it hits the corner of the sink cupboard. There is a step up into the shower which is too high for me as I have a leg that won't bend and I had bad angina at the time and couldn't take the risk. For a newly refurbished hotel, I thought it was very badly designed. There was no dishwashing detergent to wash any dishes if they were used. There was no information on where to eat (nothing available at the hotel, only a coffee bar.)

Overall bed was comfortable The condition of the room and furniture are old and need replacing updating Need hand towels in bathroom to dry your hands Also need folder with information for places to eat, things to do, places to see etc in room which would be really helpful as I’ve never been there before. Lovely employees who were very helpful at all times. The issue was the bathroom. For some reason the floor of the shower was 40 cm above floor level which means you needed to climb in and out. This was made more difficult by the placement of the sink next to the door which meant the door only opened one third of the way. This makes the shower unsuitable for larger people, especially those who are not flexible. It was a shame as everyone was wonderful.

Was at this more for four nights. Staff were extremely hlepful. Smelt lovely and fresh when I walked in and the room was also. The property is a little dated however the new owners have been making improvements.

You are paying for an old, ill equipped, very basic room. No coat hangers, batteries in the remote, utensils of any kind even though there was a microwave in the room. The 'leather' lounge was badly peeling, the bed headboards stained and furniture was in disrepair. The photo is of the cafe advertised to open at 7:30am but in real time not until after 9am. The photo also doesn't show multiple piggy backed power leads at the front door reminiscent of a third world premises. Paint was bubbling and peeling from the bathroom walls, the window sill stained, grout in between tiles blackened and vanity falling apart. Fortunately the sheets were clean. I was visiting a relative at the nearby hospital and wanted to check out a couple of days early and there was no flexibility here. I was directed to Expedia although I booked through Wotif and was billed by Travelscape . . . The staff were not interested at all in helping me. The detailed invoice I found after booking showed that the Saturday night rate was double that of Thursday- Friday which felt misleading. I would never stay here again or recommend it.

Delightful lady greeted me late at night when I arrived. Was nice to know thre was 24/7 reception service. The service and place exceeded my expectations for what I was in need of - safe place to stay for a few hours. Great price, location, and a spacious room.

Arrived at reception, female tells me not received any booking and has no room. I attempt to show her my emails and receipts for payment. She wouldn't look at me. Evenrually she said you need to phone Agoda sometime they no good. We had driven 2 and half hrs . I ask her for help, she wouldnt look at me, then kept ignoring me.

I never write poor reviews. I either love a hotel or if it’s not quite up to par I just don’t stay there again. But Comfort Inn was so terrible I have to share my negative experience. I was booked for 7 nights for a work gig nearby. Firstly, the manager and staff were rude and unhelpful and even dismissive. The customer service was woeful. They acted like they were doing me a favour letting me stay in their run down filth hole. Every cheap piece of furniture in the room was either damaged, dirty, or broken. The outside window to the driveway was bent out of shape and couldn’t be closed. That made the room not secure. The tiles in the bathroom were broken, stained, or grotty. You had to sit sidesaddle on the loo to do a bowel movement. Light switches didn’t work or were broken. The king size bed was two beds clipped together (like some other hotels do) but one side was inches lower and sagging. The state of the communal areas was so disgusting. I sat on a stair a few times to wait for an uber, and there was a dried blood stain on the wall the whole week, with a small pile of cigarette butts on the floor beside. Reception refused to assist when another guest was blaring music. They just waved me away and wouldn’t answer the phone. The walls are paper thin and doors slamming and people having loud sex above us. I had booked the room based on photos on Expedia to work at the desk in the room during my stay. But the desk was a bench and completely wrong height for chair.

I never write poor reviews. I either love a hotel or if it’s not quite up to par I just don’t stay there again. But Comfort Inn was so terrible I have to share my negative experience. I was booked for 7 nights for a work gig nearby. Firstly, the manager and staff were rude and unhelpful and even dismissive. The customer service was woeful. They acted like they were doing me a favour letting me stay in their run down filth hole. Every cheap piece of furniture in the room was either damaged, dirty, or broken. The outside window to the driveway was bent out of shape and couldn’t be closed. That made the room not secure. The tiles in the bathroom were broken, stained, or grotty. You had to sit sidesaddle on the loo to do a bowel movement. Light switches didn’t work or were broken. The king size bed was two beds clipped together (like some other hotels do) but one side was inches lower and sagging. The state of the communal areas was so disgusting. I sat on a stair a few times to wait for an uber, and there was a dried blood stain on the wall the whole week, with a small pile of cigarette butts on the floor beside. Reception refused to assist when another guest was blaring music. They just waved me away and wouldn’t answer the phone. The walls are paper thin and doors slamming and people having loud sex above us. I had booked the room based on photos on Expedia to work at the desk in the room during my stay. But the desk was a bench and completely wrong height for chair.

Arrived late. Lady woke up to give us access though there was many scary homeless people around and asking for drugs. Room wasn't as described in pictures at all. Putrid sorry bad place

Friendly staff , room was clean and surprisingly hotel was very quite, parking out front on street was easy and free from 10pm to 8am. Also for us it was a matter of location as just a 2min drive to eye hospital from hotel. No complaints from this customer.

Loved the location, easy walk to the MCG! This Hotel needs major updating. I feel the cleaners did the best they could with what they had to work with, which is old. Beds were comfortable and staff were helpfull, but those were its only redeeming features - youre paying for location in relation to the MCG.

It was easy. Come and go as you wish. No one around. The room was spacious and it had everything you need. The location is spot on. No problem whatsoever.

Very happy with my stay in this hotel. The only downside was being a Sunday night there was very little options close by for dinner and breakfast was only available after 7.30 which was not an option for us as we had to be left by 7.30. But overall was happy with our stay

Rooms were clean and comfortable. Not quite the same as descriptions. There are some strange people that stay there. Close to transport and shops. Nice cafe at front. Budget hotel and pricing was good.

The room was great. King sized bed very comfortable , Shower excellent. Off street parking good but tight for a big SUV. Security covered outside areas. Staff pleasant and obliging.It was a pity the Cafe was closed.

The pictures on the website definitely did not match the actual premises. The onsite cafe was deserted, apparently as a result of covid and staff had no idea on its reopening Staff were quite abrupt and not really helpful at all Our room had huge cracks in the wall, paint peeling from the bathroom area, power points hanging off the wall to name a few Ideal accomodation for members of a footy team to have somewhere to hang out but for a couple, pay the extra for a better quality facility However, great location, just felt maintenance has fallen off and the overall property has been let go At least onsite parking was a definite bonus

You are paying for an old, ill equipped, very basic room. No coat hangers, batteries in the remote, utensils of any kind even though there was a microwave in the room. The 'leather' lounge was badly peeling, the bed headboards stained and furniture was in disrepair. The photo is of the cafe advertised to open at 7:30am but in real time not until after 9am. The photo also doesn't show multiple piggy backed power leads at the front door reminiscent of a third world premises. Paint was bubbling and peeling from the bathroom walls, the window sill stained, grout in between tiles blackened and vanity falling apart. Fortunately the sheets were clean. I was visiting a relative at the nearby hospital and wanted to check out a couple of days early and there was no flexibility here. I was directed to Expedia although I booked through Wotif and was billed by Travelscape . . . The staff were not interested at all in helping me. The detailed invoice I found after booking showed that the Saturday night rate was double that of Thursday- Friday which felt misleading. I would never stay here again or recommend it.

Generally clean and quiet facility. No extra blankets in the room - reception area felt messy and cluttered which gave off ‘backpackers vibes’ rather than a quality Comfort Inn facility. Cafe was not enticing to the eye.

I didn’t like anything about it . It was in the middle of a renovation. The state of the room was shabby. People getting up in the middle of the night running down the corridors . No room service. Completely without any merit Never again will I witness such a dump

Staff were friendly, room was clean. One power point was hanging out of the wall with wires exposed. Room could do with a freshen up, paint, general dings, wear and tear fixed. Was a little noisy and car park was a bit difficult to navigate at times. Unfortunately the coffee shop/restaurant was closed.

It was clean and comfortable but that's as far as it went. Signs that its getting a bit tired - sticking bathroom door, dirty external windows (but it was the second floor). And poor overall design. TV faces the bed ( - OK) but the couch just looks into the bathroom. Having a very mini kitchen eg having a sink and 2 plates and 2 knives and forkes was appreciated. (I hate it when you have to try and fill a kettle from the bathroon tap.) Most dissapointing was that there was no sign that the attached and advertised breakfast/coffee bit was active. The room for this exists but it just had rubbish bags stacked against the door. No wake-up coffee! Oh- and dont try and take even a half decent sized car into the parking space. We had a jeep and even with the mirrors folded in every proximity alarm went off in RED. ie it is a real squeeze between the wooden fence and the shubbery.

My biggest issue was a dripping/running tap in the bathroom that could be heard from the moment I entered my room and could not be turned off. I went down to front desk and informed the gentleman at front desk who looked at my booking and told me that as I was there only for the one night he would add a note and deal with it in the morning after I left. Even after explaining that it could be heard from the bedroom and couldn't be turned off he repeated he would deal with it in the morning. I used a face washer in the sink to dull the sound but it made for a long unpleasant night pre-surgery. Secondly, when leaving in the morning I noted that the front door was not locked and couldn't be secured. There is no point giving a building access card if the front door doesn't lock and anyone can gain access.

Room was decent, had one little ant issue but manager addressed it right away. Comfortable accommodations, anything we needed they took care of right away. A nice place to stay!

Our room was at the top of the stairs and looked like an old cleaning room. There was only a sheer blind on the window which made the room quite light. The bathroom was tiny with no fan or handle on the bathroom door. There was mould on the roof of the bathroom and the walls needed a good clean. There were also no mugs or cups in the room despite having tea and coffee supplies. The room was dusty. Not worth the money spent.
