I liked the friendly atmosphere with all staff, cleaners are quick & do a great job, if you need anything see them at the front desk & they will do their best to accommodate, the only thing i found annoying was the noise that the guests make, the constant slaming of doors!!! It's not hard to turn the handle & close, not fling the door & slam, its the guests who don't care & should have more concern for others, it was a very busy weekend that would have caused this, I would highly recommend a stay here, the rooms are neat, clean & well set-up, with a good TV, small fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee & tea facilities, air/con, iron & board some have wardrobe & draws also a 2 seater table what more could you want! 5* rating for my stay.

We checked in around 1am in the morning due to late arrival in the city, but the staff is very helpful to make our check in process smooth. Room is spacious and clean. They have provided microwave on our request as well. Close to all transportation modes. Located in a calm place. Really enjoyed the stay.

Staff were very pleasant, room was extremley clean and tidy. Would definetley stay again but room does need some tlc as building and some of the fixings showing their age and repair some minor damages but nothing that affected our stay. Overall was a positive and enjoyful weekend. Thank you for having us and we will definetley be back at the hotel again shortly

Staff very cheerful, welcoming and helpful upon arrival. To assist in complementing my most recent stay the A/C Unit could of been better smelling during operation, it just wasn't pleasant, its appearance shows ageing which could be increasing your running costs. Cheers for now Steven

The room was upstairs and accessible only from an outdoor set of stairs, which was perfectly fine, but the ledge of the walkway to the room was starting to deteriorate, which was worrying. The room inside was nicely kept clean and with plenty of amenities in the room. The room itself does need some updating, though, as many features were outdated, including the very loud ventilation, air dryer, and heating unit (all in the bathroom). The furniture in the main room were all still in good standing and the stay was actually rather comfortable. For a single night's stay, this place did work out wonderfully well.

From the second we arrived the staff were friendly and welcoming. We were allowed an early check in and enjoyed a cool refreshment from the mini bar in reception. I would definitely stay again and can recommend to anyone looking for a quick stop over.

Last night at 9:00 PM, you charged my card for a room at Alexandra Motor Inn in Essendon. However, when I arrived, the receptionist refused to give me the room, saying it was “too late for check-in.” If late check-in is not allowed, why was my booking accepted and my money taken? This is unacceptable. I demand either immediate accommodation or a full refund without delay.

Main thing is the bed and pillows were super comfy and staff are super helpful. I arrived late with a booking from Expedia which doesn't provide a contact number. Luckily I arrived just in time (late actually) where the reception staff was packing up but he helped me grab my key with a smile so that my arrival was smooth. The rooms have a classic motel feel and does the trick. As mentioned the bed and pillows are super comfy so you will get a good night's sleep. The bathroom will take you back in time with a great shower thats easy to get to temperature and has good pressure (i was on the 2nd level). All appliances working as they should too. Loved the retro blow drier! Great access to CBD. Great selection of shops, cafes and restaurants nearby. Can recommend for those looking for a very cost effective, yet comfy stay.
