The room was bright, clean and modern. The bed comfy and plenty of wardrobe space and hangers. Kitchen was equipped with basic cooking facilities (but missing a plug!) which were great. We were on a higher floor and had no noise issues at all. The pool and jacuzzi were amazing! Very happy with our stay. We will be back.

The location of this hotel is brilliant. It is a short walk from Southern Cross train station - which is also a stop for the Skybus from the airport. It is a short walk down to the river and an easy walk around the CBD. We also booked the breakfast as part of our room which is good value for money. Would recommend.

Although it may not be the most modern this is an excellent property that has the best if everything and close to the city. Breakfast Buffet is 1st Class and the Fitness / Pool area is the reason I keep going back

Walkable and convenient location, but if you need them, trams to and from the CBD and train stations are one minute walk away. Pool, sauna, spa and gym excellent. Room spacious and comfortable, with kitchenette very useful for longer stays. My issue was with the outdoor terrace, which is the front-page photo on the website. Armed with a drink and a book, I really wanted to sit in the sunshine for an hour but was told the terrace was not available to hotel guests, and was only used for conference/meeting delegates. If you are going to use the photo to entice guests to stay, surely they must be permitted to use it. To say it is locked and unavailable was extremely disappointing and bad form. The Oaks brand is better than this. Either delete the outdoor terrace photo, or label it (e.g. for conference use) or allow guests to use it. Perhaps I can return for another stay and find this has been rectified.

Easy check in, have stayed many times and will go back again and again. Easy walk to everything that Melbourne has to offer from casino, restaurants, shopping, museums, public transport etc . The rooms are always clean and beds are comfortable. They are always more than happy to hold our baggage when we check out which is convenient to come back after a morning breakfast and a shop. Thanks you for another great stay
