Poor facilities for a so called 5 star. Gym & sauna closed all season. Check out supposed to 11am but ckeaning staff were in room at 10am whilst we were at breakfast & threw all our toiletries away. Not a freat stay & woukdnt recommend

Very nice setting and good room. But for a 5 star hotel not to have a freezer where you can refreeze your ice packs overnight is not right. The fridge in the room was only cold enough. Nice stay since it is the beginning of the season, so not crowded at all. Too bad the spa is not open yet.

We had a really pleasant stay. We only had ned and breakfast. We had a hire car to commute, and there was plenty of parking underground for our duration. The pool was lovely, comfortable beds, and friendly staff. It’s also close to a lovely beach. The only gripes are that not all facilities were available, for instance the gym was out of bounds. But all in all it was good.

The hotel advertised it had a gym and spa however the gym was a bike and cross trainer and some weights in a conference room and there was no spa. The beach is lovely but not attached to the hotel so you need to pay for sun loungers and umbrellas, they are great quality and much better than those at the hotel pool The staff were helpful

The hotel is well situated with recently refurbished clean rooms and good views. The hotel facilities were good and breakfast buffet offered a good choice. Parking was fine (although the barrier seemed unnecessary and some warning before arrival of how to get in would have been useful). The only thing that might put me off returning is the live music in the evenings - i quickly wrote off my chance of getting any sleep before 11pm - but I realise many people will appreciate the entertainment and/or be able to sleep through it.

The hotel was not operating fully as the gym and in door pool was not available. The staff were friendly but the rooms were not cleaned property. Dusty on floor and in drawers. The menu for children was very repetitive spaghetti bolognese, fish fingers or chicken dippers. The chef could have been more friendlier in dishing out the meat dishes. The pool was great and appeared to be cleaned every day.

Wir waren 5 Nächte im Venus Beach Hotel. Insgesamt hat es uns gut gefallen und wir würden das Hotel weiterempfehlen. Anfang Juni war es noch relativ ruhig und angenehm, man hat immer eine freie Liege am Pool gefunden. Zur Hauptsaison wird das sicherlich nicht mehr der Fall sein, da zu wenige Liegen für die Größe des Hotels vorhanden sind. Die Strandliegen waren bereits jetzt ab 10 Uhr morgens alle belegt (2,50€ pro Liege und 2,50€ für den Schirm). Halbpension ist empfehlenswert. Wir hatten nur Frühstück, haben aber das Buffet fast jeden Abend dazugebucht (30€ pro Person plus Getränke). Die Restaurants in der Nähe fanden wir nicht sehr ansprechend und das Hotelessen war gut. Innenpool, Spa und Gym sind zur Zeit geschlossen. Definitiv kein 5 Sterne Hotel, aber das war uns anhand der Bewertungen vorher bewußt. Es war aber alles sauber und ordentlich. Beim Personal ist noch Luft nach oben. Andere Länder punkten mit Gastfreundlichkeit, Zypern hat eher "osteuropäischen Charme". Keine Begrüßungen, es wird selten gelächelt, man fühlt sich nicht wirklich willkommen. Das haben wir allerdings nicht nur in diesem Hotel so empfunden, es scheint eher die generelle Mentalität der Menschen zu sein.

Nice location and a decent hotel. A few things could be improved. The food is really not good and it is repetitive. My biggest complaint is the pool chairs. Not enough in the shade and they are all reserved but not occupied. If you don’t get up early and claim a chair, you are out of luck. Hotel really needs to change their policy to prevent this. Also the clunky process to get a pool towel and pay a 10 euro deposit is insulting and unnecessary

The room was nice, but nothing was fully clean. Housekeeping did not hoover in the shower or change bedsheets when they were full of sand. Because I was by myself, I could live with it just fine but it is bot reflective of their 5 start status. There were pre existing stains on the linen and some on the soft furnishings. The sofa was nice but someone had a lot of fun on it, and the marks remained to tell the story. Beach towels were stained too. For a 10€ deposit, I expected a bit more cleanliness. Once housekeeping left the door to my balcony open. I did not the do the full board, and I was very happy with my decision. Food was okay, but nothing to write home about. All in all my stay was pleasant, but nothing to rave about.

This hotel is not a 5 star as advertised. The hotel is dated and needs a revamp. The hallways to get to room need to get painted, very bad shape. One thing in particular I didn’t like was having to put a 40 euro deposit to get 4 pool towels, and it had to be cash. The indoor pool was out of service. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff is friendly.

1-Star Experience at a Falsely Advertised 5-Star Resort This hotel is a severely outdated, run-down relic, falling short of three-star standards. It is the opposite of luxury. Hygiene & Maintenance is Dire: The room had unacceptable hygiene issues; I woke up with numerous bites all over my body, and the bathroom grout was covered in mold. The shower was broken, and staff refused to fix it, claiming the hotel was full. Common areas were stained, and the cheap plastic sun loungers had never-cleaned crash mats. All-Inclusive is a Scam: Avoid the all-inclusive package. It covers only an estimated 10% of the menu, forcing excessive fees, and drinks are significantly overpriced. Crucially, my partner suffered violent food poisoning on day two, requiring us to eat off-site for the rest of the trip. Hostile & Restrictive Management: Service was universally rude, driven by visibly low-morale staff. When trying to bring outside food (due to illness), the manager and security guard were aggressively confrontational, citing a ridiculous small-print rule forbidding outside food in the room. This hostile enforcement made the stay feel like a restrictive institution, not a hospitality experience. Final Verdict: This property lacks basic cleanliness, service, and value. The description and photos of the hotel are misleading and an incorrect representation of the hotel on Expedia. The hotel is not a luxury 5 star hotel, as stated in Expedia description. It is outdated, facilities are extremely poor, the rooms are dirty, ants were found in the room and on the beds on more than one occasion and that was after the hotel agreed to change the bed sheets and spray the room! The balcony was filthy. The air conditioning was so noisy we couldn’t leave it on at night but that didn’t make a difference as we could hear the neighbours air con! Avoid, Avoid, Avoid this hotel at all costs!!! I’ve stayed in better 3 stars than this hotel. So disappointed with the hotel, we left a day earlier. We requested a refund for the day we left early both the hotel and Expedia refused to offer a refund. Expedia has completely miss sold the hotel.

We very much enjoyed our stay. Staff were lovely and made sure our requested room was provided. Room was basic but clean, quiet (important to us!), and modern, with a comfortable bed and great view. We would have liked to be able to adjust temperature down below 21C at night, but they offered us a fan which helped, especially as the weather turned cool. Liked having option of a softer pillow, even though it was kind of lumpy. Breakfast options were very good. Location is good for visiting the Tomb of the Kings, the Lidl across the street, and bus stop nearby. Liked having option of a softer pillow, even though it was kind of lumpy. Breakfast options were very good. Location is good for visiting the Tomb of the Kings, the Lidl across the street, and bus stop nearby. Whilst we were waiting to check in we saw that there was another customer complaining also about the room they were given and the cleanliness of the room. Staff were being rude at reception and told us to go and sit down whilst we were awaiting to check in as if they didn’t want to deal with us. Only good thing was the view from our hotel room especially at night with the sunset.

We really enjoyed our stay at Venus Beach Hotel. Location was amazing, as there were many restaurants, bars nearby, and you can walk to the Paphos Harbour, into the town, explore the nearby caves, Tombs of the Kings, ...and walk for miles up and down by the sea. The closest Venus beach was nice and sandy too. Hotel was clean and well looked after, with lovely pool area and bar. Our 5th floor sea view room was very spacious, with a huge bed and lovely balconie. We were half board, and we found breakfast (not late breakfast, as then all you can get is slices of cheese, fruit and some bread) and evening meal options were really good, with quite a variety of dishes and theme nights. Just a bit dissapointing that even water wasn't incded with the evening meal, which I feel is a must. Special thanks to some lovely, welcoming staff members like Ana at the bar, Maria in the dining room, and Ella in the reception, just to name a few - you all made our stay just that bit extra special! And thanks to the managment for the birthday shamphane gift as well, a welcome surprise! There wasn't much of an entertainment at the hotel, but its probably because it wasn't season quite yet, still we wery much enjoyed one evening with live music we had. Overall very nice, relaxing and pleasant stay.Thank you all!

Not a 5* hotel and pretty no thrills, no spills feeling within the hotel. If however you are looking for a comfortable clean stay with spacious rooms in a quiet location then this hotel is fantastic. Stayed at numerous hotels within the paphos region and this is excellent value for money with recently renevated rooms and a nice pool/beach area.

Ik had een standaard kamer met zeezicht geboekt met all-inclusive. De kamer en het bed waren in orde, de badkamer met een fantastische douche prima, alleen het balkon was heel erg klein. Één halve liter fles water bij aankomst, daarna niet meer en er waren geen koffie- en thee zet faciliteiten wat nogal matig is voor een 5-sterrenhotel. Ontbijt buffet was goed, lunch en diner redelijk. Geen 7 of hoger, want met name het vlees en de kip lieten te wensen over. Het was echter gevarieerd met redelijk veel keuze en verder was het all-inclusive concept prima. Alleen als je bij het eten water bestelde kreeg je gewoon kraanwater met een vieze bijsmaak in een soort van karaf. Wilde je bronwater in een plastic fles dan moest je dat specifiek bestellen. De fitnessruimte was lachwekkend en stelde totaal niets voor met 3 fitness apparaten. WiFi was heel erg traag. Heel vreemd was, dat op de dag van de check-out je key-card voor de kamer na 10.00 uur niet meer werkte, zodat je de hulp van een schoonmaakster nodig had om in je kamer te komen, terwijl het uitchecken tot 12.00 uur kon. De schoonmaak liet ook te wensen over en de manier waarop men de bedden opmaakte was ronduit slecht. We really liked the hotel. It is located right next to tombs of kings in front of beach. Beach had a wave breaker, which makes it safe to swim. We had a beach front room, it was nice to enjoy the beautiful view. Room is spacious and clean. Breakfast was delicious with a lot of food to choose from. We would highly recommend this hotel!

The hotel is well situated with recently refurbished clean rooms and good views. The hotel facilities were good and breakfast buffet offered a good choice. Parking was fine (although the barrier seemed unnecessary and some warning before arrival of how to get in would have been useful). The only thing that might put me off returning is the live music in the evenings - i quickly wrote off my chance of getting any sleep before 11pm - but I realise many people will appreciate the entertainment and/or be able to sleep through it.

This is not a 5 star hotel. Rooms are clean and have modern decor but some fittings are poor: bedside lights hanging off walls, no plug sockets by beside tables, lighting is questionable and walls are paper thin, we had to complain twice about excessive noise from room above which was not dealt with. Toiletries provided very poor quality and not regularly replenished. Housekeeping timings were a mess, our first day they didn’t arrive until 5pm (housekeeping times 10am-3pm), had to ask for extra towels, toilet roll left to run out. Vanity kit and shower cap not replaced once used. One bottle of water provided at the beginning of stay and never replenished. Breakfast choice is vast, however hot items are barely warm - if you want a freshly cooked omelette there is often a wait but this will be the only truly hot item. Coffee machines are poor. Juice is watered down, which is unacceptable for a 5 star establishment. Used the beachside restaurant once at lunchtime and found the menu to be quite limited. We stayed b&b so didn’t use the dinner service but understand only the buffet and beachside restaurant are included in all inclusive option - bit of a cheek to exclude other restaurants from that so if we’d opted for all inclusive we wouldn’t have been happy with this. Plenty of places to eat within walking distance and bus stop right outside the hotel. Also a Lidl across the road which is handy for lunches on the beach and replenishing the water not provided in the room!

Great location, but not a 5-star experience Definitely not a 5-star property — it feels a little tired and could use some TLC. The pool experience was rather unusual: the attendant kept a stack of neatly rolled “display only” towels, while guests were directed to take unfolded ones from a laundry basket nearby. I’ve never seen that before, not even at my gym. He was also quite rude to guests, often speaking to them in a condescending way that made people feel uncomfortable. I even witnessed him explaining to one guest that the folded towels were “display only, like at a watch shop,” before adding, “next time bring your wife — she understands more English.” I was stunned. The front desk experience was also disappointing. The receptionist with brown hair came across as quite rude and unhelpful — even when I politely asked if she could dispose of a small dress tag, she told me to use the bin outside the hotel entrance, despite there being a bin directly next to her. It felt unnecessarily dismissive. On the positive side, the location is excellent — right by the beach and next to one of Paphos’s main attractions, the Tombs of the Kings. Milena, the hotel manager, was the most helpful staff member I encountered; she ensured I got my beach towel deposit back and was genuinely pleasant to deal with.

The hotel is in need to good repair work. The toilet holder did not hold the roll it kept falling off. When I checked in they gave me two mini soaps. During my entire stay, they were not replaced. On days fresh towels were not provided, and the tea and milk were not replaced. The bathroom needed some repair work. The only positive was Maria who worked in the dining department she was very friendly and welcoming with a smile every day. I was also very upset one day I was having my dinner and I had three small pieces of dessert. A chap with glasses, not a chubby one came and placed the bill for my drink on my table and commented oh you have taken one of each when I only had three. I found this very rude because on all the other days they waited until I had finished before giving me my bill. Most of the front desk staff were abrupt. I only found Ailona very helpful.

The service of the staff was exceptional. Honestly went above and beyond. They remember your choices and are always willing to help. The area however has a lot of buildings under construction. The hotel and the beach are the best attractions here. Great for those wanting to just relax. Bus services however are regular and reliable

Reception's team are rude, on the defensive and unhelpful, except for the reception's customer rep Milena, she was always welcoming and offered solutions to our grievances when she was on shift since the rest of the time no one helped. The manager only appeared asking for review at the end of the stay, and I couldn't response Room. 1. Since day one problems with the toilet and air conditioning. It took serveral calls and talks with the reception's person to get issues sorted out. 2. Uncomfortable bed and pillows. Breakfast. 1. There are not vegan, diary free and gluten free options, so that a person with specific dietary requirements would definitely struggle to find something to eat. 2. From the moment we arrived and the very last minute we left the hotel, my family and I have most memorable holiday. The location of the hotel couldnt be better. From the lively attentive reception staff, to room staff, to bar staff ( our most favorite Suzie and Barbi) to the pool attendent (joe), all went out of their ways not only to serve but also have a mingle, guide us. etc. Our bolt drivers, to people in the restaurants across the road and in main town were so so friendly and helpful. We will be returning to Venus beach hotel asap . Thank you

We only stayed for 3 days and had a fabulous suite over looking the pool and ocean. The staff were very friendly and accommodating to our needs. Would happily stay here again.One issue was a little remote but we did have a car but only a 20-30 minute walk to livelier area!

Die Unterkunft ist schon etwas älter, es ist nicht mehr ganz neu. In den Zimmern, beim Essen und am Pool wird immer gereinigt und ein guter Service erbracht. Höfliches und aufmerksames Personal. In den Gängen und ganz speziell im Treppenhaus lässt sich dann doch etwas Schmutz und auch das alter der Liegenschaft erkennen. Die Security nimmt es genau. Es kann sein, dass man angesprochen wird und versichern muss, dass man ein Hotelgast ist. Offenbar parkieren fremde beim Hotel! Essen und Trinken vom nahegelegenen Lidl zu holen ist nicht erlaubt, Vorsicht! Das Hotel liegt top gelegen an einem der schönsten Strände (Venus Beach). Bis ins Städtchen und bis zu der Meile mit vielen Bars und Restaurants muss man einen 15 - 25 minütigen Spaziergang machen. Es gäbe hingegen such die Möglichkeit den Bus zu nehmen.

We really liked the hotel. It is located right next to tombs of kings in front of beach. Beach had a wave breaker, which makes it safe to swim. We had a beach front room, it was nice to enjoy the beautiful view. Room is spacious and clean. Breakfast was delicious with a lot of food to choose from. We would highly recommend this hotel!

Very good hotel with nice swimming pool, staff were excellent. If you like a lovely walk, the seafront walk along the promenade to the harbor in 30-40mins for a bit more lively wine and dine, harbor protected area good for a bit of swimming and snorkeling also highly recommended if you like some history the Nea Paphos UNESCO Archaeological Park with well-preserved Roman ruins with mosaics. Hotel is perfectly located for amazing sun sets and Venus beach on the door step, one of the best beach areas, you can see a few fish off the rocks if you like to snorkel not amazing but there are one or two fish to see and right next to Tomb of the Kings, also short buss ride or drive to coral beach in the next cove down and the Old Town is not to far away, it is walkable if you like walking. Very Good!

We really enjoyed our stay at Venus Beach Hotel. Location was amazing, as there were many restaurants, bars nearby, and you can walk to the Paphos Harbour, into the town, explore the nearby caves, Tombs of the Kings, ...and walk for miles up and down by the sea. The closest Venus beach was nice and sandy too. Hotel was clean and well looked after, with lovely pool area and bar. Our 5th floor sea view room was very spacious, with a huge bed and lovely balconie. We were half board, and we found breakfast (not late breakfast, as then all you can get is slices of cheese, fruit and some bread) and evening meal options were really good, with quite a variety of dishes and theme nights. Just a bit dissapointing that even water wasn't incded with the evening meal, which I feel is a must. Special thanks to some lovely, welcoming staff members like Ana at the bar, Maria in the dining room, and Ella in the reception, just to name a few - you all made our stay just that bit extra special! And thanks to the managment for the birthday shamphane gift as well, a welcome surprise! There wasn't much of an entertainment at the hotel, but its probably because it wasn't season quite yet, still we wery much enjoyed one evening with live music we had. Overall very nice, relaxing and pleasant stay.Thank you all!

And thanks to the managment for the birthday shamphane gift as well, a welcome surprise! There wasn't much of an entertainment at the hotel, but its probably because it wasn't season quite yet, still we wery much enjoyed one evening with live music we had. Overall very nice, relaxing and pleasant stay.Thank you all!

Maybe if you come on a regular vacation with breakfast included, the place isn’t that bad. But for those who choose the all-inclusive package — it’s far from worth it. The ice cream, alcohol, and food in that package are only the cheapest local products, and anything decent costs extra.

Really liked our room and location. However, we were on half board and after 2 evening meals we ate out. Too much like a cafeteria definitely not a 4 or 5 star experience. Lack of choice and options for dining badly explained by reception staff.

This is not a 5 star hotel. Rooms are clean and have modern decor but some fittings are poor: bedside lights hanging off walls, no plug sockets by beside tables, lighting is questionable and walls are paper thin, we had to complain twice about excessive noise from room above which was not dealt with. Toiletries provided very poor quality and not regularly replenished. Housekeeping timings were a mess, our first day they didn’t arrive until 5pm (housekeeping times 10am-3pm), had to ask for extra towels, toilet roll left to run out. Vanity kit and shower cap not replaced once used. One bottle of water provided at the beginning of stay and never replenished. Breakfast choice is vast, however hot items are barely warm - if you want a freshly cooked omelette there is often a wait but this will be the only truly hot item. Coffee machines are poor. Juice is watered down, which is unacceptable for a 5 star establishment. Used the beachside restaurant once at lunchtime and found the menu to be quite limited. We stayed b&b so didn’t use the dinner service but understand only the buffet and beachside restaurant are included in all inclusive option - bit of a cheek to exclude other restaurants from that so if we’d opted for all inclusive we wouldn’t have been happy with this. Plenty of places to eat within walking distance and bus stop right outside the hotel. Also a Lidl across the road which is handy for lunches on the beach and replenishing the water not provided in the room!

The room was not clean and looked outdated, especially the bathrooms, which were in poor condition. Although I paid for an all-inclusive package, I was still charged for basic items like coffee, ice cream, and bottled water. Nice location and a decent hotel. A few things could be improved. The food is really not good and it is repetitive. My biggest complaint is the pool chairs. Not enough in the shade and they are all reserved but not occupied. If you don’t get up early and claim a chair, you are out of luck. Hotel really needs to change their policy to prevent this. Please believe the other reviews when they say that this is not a 5* hotel, so if you are hoping for luxury aesthetics and luxury service, you will not get that here. The hotel overall is dated, the room had stains in the curtains and walls, dust on the room phone, in the vents. There was no extractor in the bathroom nor a window. They only give you a bottle of water on the first day and thereafter, water costs 6.50 euro. Houskeeping did a good job at refreshing the room each day, but overall the room can never be classed as 5*. There were good facilities i.e. a free tennis court and the beach front location is what made me not rate this a 0/5. The other facilities i.e. games room and gym, again, were extremely poor in terms of aesthetics. Lastly, the breakfast. This was the worst breakfast i've ever had in a hotel and was absolutely not 5* standard. With 5* hotels, I am used to the hotel staff taking your drink order but here, you have to line up at the coffee machine or juice machine and that is literally all you get in terms of drink options. The coffee was so bad that I had to pour it away straight away. The apple juice was incredibly sweet that I again couldn't drink it. They do not cater for diverse dietary requirements. El hotel está ubicado enfrente de la mejor playa de Pafos. La habitación y la piscina están muy bien. Disponen de muchas tumbonas y muy cómodas. Los trabajadores, en general, son bastante secos. Me gustaría destacar a los tres trabajadores que mejor nos han atendido: Amik, del bar principal, y a Sofía y María, del bar de la piscina.

We really enjoyed our stay as a couple travelling with a toddler. We particularly liked the room, which had a lovely sea view and good size balcony. The room was very clean with comfortable beds. The hotel breakfast buffet was excellent. We liked the closeness to the beach which has breakers so very suitable with small kids, however do note that this is not part of the hotel so you do pay for sunbeds or can use the public area. The pool area was not too busy when travelling in early October, although the pool was a bit on the cold side. There is a useful little shop in the hotel. There are restaurants within walking distance but it would be great if the hotel had a bit more lunch options (not just buffet but simpler a la carte dishes). There was a taverna by the waterfront which was nice but also had a slightly limited menu. There is no playground or specific kids pool with small slides or anything like that - not anything we needed on this trip, but worth noting. There is a kids game room / arcade which is a bit dated. All in all we thought we felt the hotel was good value and would stay again. The hotel doesn't offer airport transfer as was noted, we were just given a number to book ourselves - would be better service if this was done by the hotel (although recommend just using Bolt).

The hotel breakfast buffet was excellent. We liked the closeness to the beach which has breakers so very suitable with small kids, however do note that this is not part of the hotel so you do pay for sunbeds or can use the public area. The pool area was not too busy when travelling in early October, although the pool was a bit on the cold side. There is a useful little shop in the hotel. There are restaurants within walking distance but it would be great if the hotel had a bit more lunch options (not just buffet but simpler a la carte dishes). There was a taverna by the waterfront which was nice but also had a slightly limited menu. There is no playground or specific kids pool with small slides or anything like that - not anything we needed on this trip, but worth noting. There is a kids game room / arcade which is a bit dated. All in all we thought we felt the hotel was good value and would stay again. The hotel doesn't offer airport transfer as was noted, we were just given a number to book ourselves - would be better service if this was done by the hotel (although recommend just using Bolt).

The housekeeping personnel and the staff at the buffet restaurant were very nice, attentive, and helpful. However the front desk staff looked like they didn’t want to be there. On arrival, the person who did the check in was emotionless, just telling the rules and not making eye contact at all. I asked for a late check out and this person said I should ask on my check out day but it was possible to extended free of charge till 12:00 or till 18:00 if I paid €80 extra. On the check out day, I asked for a late check out and the straight answer was “No”. Then they excused themselves saying that the check in was at 1pm, whilst it’s a 3pm. They check for the room and insisted on a 1pm check in for the next guest but didn’t offer any alternative for me to stay longer as I had a late flight from Pafos. As for the facilities, room was okay and corridors are dated. I don’t think this is a 5 stars hotel as advertised by them.

The evening staff and night staff where absolutely rude, when I asked a simple question, they were so rude they look past me like I wasn't there and ignored me, the girl looked past me and answered my question, I asked her few times if there was a problem to why she behaving this way, she continued to look past me and ignored me and made me feel so little that i wasn't good enough to talk to her, overall experience I would strongly suggest avoid places like this where you are looked down upon

Nice beach location and very friendly helpful staff. Near to Paphos and sites nearby. Music and pool bar nice vibes, not too many families and overall good food choices. Bed sheets don’t seem to fit well is only main problem, undersheet ruffles up every night-get bigger sheets that tuck under mattresses
