The service staff at the reception desk and Iskander, who helped us with our luggage were excellent. The breakfast was top notch and a it had a gated parking area. Lovely hotel, although a little worn in places. I would definitely recommend it.

Das Personal, vor allem an der Rezeption, war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Es war eine große Erleichterung, dass sie sowohl Russisch als auch Englisch sprachen, was die Verständigung sehr erleichterte. Das Hotel selbst ist beeindruckend - die Größe, die stilvolle Einrichtung im Erdgeschoss und die faszinierende Geschichte verleihen ihm einen besonderen Charme. Unser Zimmer war nicht nur schön eingerichtet, sondern auch sehr sauber, was den Aufenthalt angenehm machte. Besonders beruhigend war es zu wissen, dass im Brandfall die Sirenen funktionieren. Ein Highlight unseres Aufenthaltes war die Armstrong Bar, in der wir die entspannte Atmosphäre und die Live-Musik am Abend sehr genossen habe. Auch die Sky Bar im 14. Stock ist ein absolutes Muss - der Blick über die Stadt ist einfach atemberaubend! Das Essen war durchweg gut und wir haben uns über den kostenlosen Glühwein im Eingangsbereich gefreut. Zum krönenden Abschluss gab es am Abreisetag sogar noch Geschenke. Alles in allem können wir dieses Hotel nur wärmstens empfehlen. Es bietet nicht nur einen hervorragenden Service, sondern auch eine einladende Atmosphäre, die unseren Aufenthalt unvergesslich gemacht hat!

„Soviet“- style hotel with affordable rooms and some higher priced suits. Very friendly staff and good breakfast buffet. Easy to reach by car and by public transport. Parking lot at the hotel costs around 20€ per day. Kaufland grocery store and some mini markets and takeaways nearby.

The hotel itself is very nice inside, old decor, spacious. The staff was courteous. They have a bar with piano player and another bar with the view on the 14th floor. The location is convenient, nice suburbs nearby the technical university. Breakfast had variety of selections, I didn't miss anything. The staff cleans the tables frequently. It can get busy later morning. My room had a single bed but still big enough and the safebox was easy to operate. I would definitely stay in this hotel again.

Alles in einem ein toller Aufenthalt über 2 Nächte im Hotel mit Kind im Dreibettzimmer. Zimmer mit neuerer Ausstattung, keine braunen Möbel - alles hell und viel Platz. Mit Badewanne. Beim Frühstück ausreichend Abwechslung vorhanden bei Getränken und Speisen. Es gibt auch die Möglichkeit im anderen Saal zu Speisen. Kindertisch vorhanden in beiden Sälen. Unser Kind war glücklich. Parkmöglichkeit direkt am Hotel. Mehrsprachiges Personal (Russisch, tschechisch, englisch). Abends gibt es ab und zu sogar Live-Musik an der Bar. Hotel alt und edel mit moderner Technik ergänzt im Rahmen des Möglichen. Souvenirshop mit menschlichen Preisen vorhanden. Freizeitangebote werden ebenfalls an der Rezeption angeboten. Einkaufsmöglichkeit und öffentliche Verkehrsmittel in der Nähe. Was mich allerdings sehr gestört hat, ist der stark parfümierter Geruch in den Zimmergängen. Da wir mit Freunden und Familie da waren, war es für alle zu stark präsent. Man muss dazu sagen im Zimmer nichts davon zu riechen gewesen. Wir würden gern wiederkommen, wenn es sich anbietet. Vielen Dank.

Room size, bed and extra sofas were very spacious. Reception, bar and common areas were nice. Staff was friendly. We had the car used hotel private parking for 12 euros per night. Street parking is hard to find. Location wise it is okay. Probably there are big bus stops about 1.2km from here. But if you have a car or are willing to walk a bit, it very good.

Vi stannade 2 dagar på hotellet, jättetrevlig upplevelse med härlig personal. De var ett trevligt bemötande samt att vi fick ett uppgraderat rum vilket verkligen uppskattades då vi firade vår årsdag. Det enda jag kan klaga på är frukosten, den var tillräcklig men inget super speciellt, det brukar oftast vara lite mera utbud på hotell. Men gott var det! Takbaren är också något man inte får missa!

Das Hotel war sehr imposant mit einer sehr schönen Lobby.Die Zimmer sind groß und praktisch eingerichtet. Was mir nicht gefallen hat, ist die Zimmerreinigung ,die immer am späten Nachmittag durchgeführt werden sollte, als wir aus der Stadt zurück kamen. Mit dem Parkplatz hatten wir wirklich Glück gehabt . Ansonsten war er immer voll.

🇺🇸. Excellent breakfast and nice staff. Room: old carpet, very outdated, dusty old curtains. Bathroom moldy and almost no toiletries just one small body lotion for three nights stay at the hotel. They didn't change linens or vacuum the room.

The housekeeping could be better. There were stains of coffee of the previous guest on the table and three of the seven days that we've stayed the room wasn't cleaned. After notifications at the front desk someone of housekeeping brought us clean towels. The people of the front desk did what they could but our room was the first of the hallway and therefor the last to clean. We think that housekeeping hadn't enough time left to do their job properly. To bad because we had no complaints with our previous visit.

Unfortunately our room had a few spots on the ceiling which were wet and some looked like mold. Also the air in the room smelled a bit like it.. The breakfast was fine and we liked it.

Sehr schöner und sauberer Hotel in Prag. Rezeption alle Mitarbeiter sind super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Es ist sehr selten so ein super Personal. Die Zimmern sind ausreichend groß und sauber, es wird täglich geputzt. Die Lage ist sehr gut. Straßenbahn gleich am Hotel und man ist in 15 Minuten und der Staatmitte. Frühstückt ist sehr gut und ausreichend Platze vorhanden. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder! Danke an Personal!

Great location. Short uber to old town. Tram right outside. Building date from 1950s . Good water pressure in tub, unfortunately when shower is on not as much pressure. Had to climb out of tub it sits higher that the floor. Room did not have wash cloths or a top sheet in the bed. Street side i heard lots of traffic sounds

Room size, bed and extra sofas were very spacious. Reception, bar and common areas were nice. Staff was friendly. We had the car used hotel private parking for 12 euros per night. Street parking is hard to find. Location wise it is okay. Probably there are big bus stops about 1.2km from here. But if you have a car or are willing to walk a bit, it very good.

Beautiful, old hotel, with nice modern updates. We loved our suite, with nice views. The complimentary wine, schnapps and chocolate, were a nice detail. The bar at level 14 has beautiful views. The restaurant staff was verry atentive and polite. We enjoyed the dinner there, and the breakfast, wich had so much variety to choose from. Overall an amazing experience.

This Soviet-era hotel is actually pretty fun. Wonderful staff -- friendly and helpful. The rooms are a wee bit dated and ours had two tiny twin beds instead of either a king or queen -- which for a couple staying there 6 nights wasn't the best and the staff could not get us a room with a single bed. Even so, enjoyed the stay. Breakfast buffet offering was good -- decent variety and tasty. Rooms was a bit worn around the edges, but clean and comfortable enough. Could have had a more convenient outlet here and there. Shower was OK, but you had to hug the wall to not get water everywhere. Someday hotels will STOP with the 1/2 glass shower walls. Seriously. Place is next to a tram line for easy access (10-15 minutes ride) to downtown Prague. Will def be back as it's next door to friend's house. If you're a tourist to see Prague, you are NOT in the thick of things, which frankly, is to my taste. Also, water in hotel is drinkable from the tap -- always nice.

Hotel looked incredible from the outside. Very welcoming and staff were friendly. The room wasn’t ready on time, which was frustrating, especially as other guests were constantly arriving and being assigned their rooms. An apology would have been nice, but it wasn’t the end of the world, we went to eat in the restaurant in the meantime. When we got to the room, it was dated but the amenities you would expect were there. Bathroom was clean and well equipped and looked out of place as it was very modern. The room itself was clean and comfortable for the few nights we spent in it. The tv was ancient and didn’t work, but we had an iPad to watch films which helped. Overall, the hotel is clean and friendly and has everything you need, it just needs a revival. The check in issue was annoying but didn’t spoil what was otherwise a good stay

Great Customer Service by all staff that we encountered. Maria at the reception was welcoming and provided answers to all our questions. Food was great at both restaurants. We tried the Friday dinner buffet and service was awesome! Also at the other restaurant Jugoslav was very kind to us. Overall great stay.

Hotel overall is not too bad, clean but extremely old . Service was appalling for the start / check-in, unfriendly, unhelpful and unwilling staff. Dreadful fire evacuation event / health & safety plus communication at the time of the event was extremely unprofessional. Left on the first time - location also not great - in the middle of nowhere .

Das Personal, vor allem an der Rezeption, war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Es war eine große Erleichterung, dass sie sowohl Russisch als auch Englisch sprachen, was die Verständigung sehr erleichterte. Das Hotel selbst ist beeindruckend - die Größe, die stilvolle Einrichtung im Erdgeschoss und die faszinierende Geschichte verleihen ihm einen besonderen Charme. Unser Zimmer war nicht nur schön eingerichtet, sondern auch sehr sauber, was den Aufenthalt angenehm machte. Besonders beruhigend war es zu wissen, dass im Brandfall die Sirenen funktionieren. Ein Highlight unseres Aufenthaltes war die Armstrong Bar, in der wir die entspannte Atmosphäre und die Live-Musik am Abend sehr genossen habe. Auch die Sky Bar im 14. Stock ist ein absolutes Muss - der Blick über die Stadt ist einfach atemberaubend! Das Essen war durchweg gut und wir haben uns über den kostenlosen Glühwein im Eingangsbereich gefreut. Zum krönenden Abschluss gab es am Abreisetag sogar noch Geschenke. Alles in allem können wir dieses Hotel nur wärmstens empfehlen. Es bietet nicht nur einen hervorragenden Service, sondern auch eine einladende Atmosphäre, die unseren Aufenthalt unvergesslich gemacht hat!

Air conditioning didn't work, it became very hot in a south facing unit. Afternoon reception staff was arrogant, discourtious and disinterested in serving the guests; morning staff in the reception was simply excellent: attentive and very courteous. We were treated very well at reception. Arthur was extremely helpful to navigate transportation to the downtown. Beds were a little hard. The breakfast buffet was wonderful with lots of variety, including healthy options.

Not very close to tourist attractions but an Uber is very cheap to get to Old town / new town etc. Hotel is very big - breakfast/ lunch / dinner daily / indoor and outdoor. Bar in lobby -Small cute rooftop. Hotel does have AC which is a plus and the rooms are a generous size for 2 people. Pizzeria is across the street but not many places to eat in the area. Some local bars a few blocks away / Would recommend for any one trying to find something affordable and for a decent sized room

Trevlig personlig. Varmt bemötande med prosecco i receptionen vid incheckning. Bra och rymligt rum med skön säng. Jag sov som ett litet barn under min vistelse. Frukostsalen kunde varit bättre. Extremt hög ljudvolym därinne. Men okej frukost - även om köerna var långa till maten. Bra läge med förbindelser precis utanför dörren. Rekommenderas varmt!
Trevlig personlig. Varmt bemötande med prosecco i receptionen vid incheckning. Bra och rymligt rum med skön säng. Jag sov som ett litet barn under min vistelse. Frukostsalen kunde varit bättre. Extremt hög ljudvolym därinne. Men okej frukost - även om köerna var långa till maten. Bra läge med förbindelser precis utanför dörren. Rekommenderas varmt!

This was an amzing hotel. The communal areas and room were all furnished to a high standard and felt luxurious. All the staff we met were friendly. Breakfast and the evening dinners were really good. Very easy to access the Old Town by tram. We loved this hotel (and the price!) And would love to return.

The hotel itself is very nice inside, old decor, spacious. The staff was courteous. They have a bar with piano player and another bar with the view on the 14th floor. The location is convenient, nice suburbs nearby the technical university. Breakfast had variety of selections, I didn't miss anything. The staff cleans the tables frequently. It can get busy later morning. My room had a single bed but still big enough and the safebox was easy to operate. I would definitely stay in this hotel again.

Sehr schöner und sauberer Hotel in Prag. Rezeption alle Mitarbeiter sind super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Es ist sehr selten so ein super Personal. Die Zimmern sind ausreichend groß und sauber, es wird täglich geputzt. Die Lage ist sehr gut. Straßenbahn gleich am Hotel und man ist in 15 Minuten und der Staatmitte. Frühstückt ist sehr gut und ausreichend Platze vorhanden. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder! Danke an Personal!

Ok hotel, some staff friendly like the parking officer (but he couldn’t do much because the other staff acting stupid) A warning they allow for staff to park there cars behind guests cars. This resulted in that I had to take a cab because I couldn’t get my car out. I told them this could absolutely not be repeated the day after when I was leaving the hotel. But a new car was behind my car, this time I skipped talking to the nice parking guy without mandate and required to speak to a manager. The manager hided behind the reception and didn’t come out instead two semi aggressive guys came out and tried to scream that this was a mistake etc etc. It’s not a mistake just take a look in the parking lot there are tens of cars behind tourist cars this is systematic. Can’t recommend this hotel. Very bad policies and threatfull staff when you confront them. Definitely needs a new management that dares to stand up in front of customers, change of policies and friendlier staff like the parking guy (give full mandate to that person).

The AC wasn't working, which was a problem during the Prague heatwave. We only stayed for one night, and they couldn't switch us to a different room or fix the AC. They gave us a couple of fans instead, which was not sufficient. The mini bar fridge wasn't functioning either, so some food leftovers could not be chilled. Even the in-room safe (which is huge!) wasn't working and didn't lock. Location of electric outlet was less than convenient... You could chalk manu of these things to an old building, but maintenance and updating need to keep up. Still waiting for a partial refund for a very partially functioning room.
