Parking is tight and few spaces but located right off the motorway making it easy to get to other parts of the city and surrounding areas. Staff was wonderful and accommodating.

The hotel is ordinary. It's a bit dated and a bit soulless but if you are just sleeping there it's perfectly fine. The staff I interacted with were efficient and friendly. The is a #5 a day charge for the car park which is administered by a third party firm so make sure you factor this into your stay and register your vehicle when you check-in. I used the digital key option and went to straight to my room without visiting reception, which was convenient but I am expecting to receive a parking ticket at some point.

The staff were helpful and welcoming. They reminded guests at check in to register the vehicle registration for the free parking. It was something I found unclear from Expedia and other reviews. I was so relieved to congregate free parking when I arrived, especially as there were signs in the car parking listing the rates. Tasty food, complimentary fruit and warm cookies from the reception staff. Comfortable beds. Happy customers.

Room was nice enough, but very disappointed to be charged £7.50 to park my car which I was informed was heavily advertised, which I hadn't seen anywhere. Not a lot of money, but it felt very underhand in the way I was told and charged.

Friendly staff and good service. Rooms are a good size and very clean. I don't think it's right to charge for parking though, it should be part of the rate when you're staying.

Upon arrival very long wait at reception I had booked a family room but second bed not made so I had to queue again. I was not informed about parking charges over £7 per night but blue badge your ok. All disabled spaces were full. The room was nice and clean and so was the hotel. It was quiet too and we slept well. I put the towels in the bath at night to stop the drip from the broken valve in shower. Cookies were nice upon arrival and hotel was situated close to motorway so easy for us to be on route in the morning.

Room was nice although making ip the room was hit and miss during my 4 night stay. Bins weren’t emptied (despite being full) and coffee cups not cleaned out on most days. Beware of the parking charges as these were highlighted when checking in and I only noticed the charge on the bill when checking out.

The hotel was okay, the window was screwed shut, I believe this was probably due to the rotted wooden walkway to the external. The room was not clean on the first day of the stay and on the second, whilst the cleaning was excellent the tea and coffee making facilities were not restocked.

The stay was for 3 nights but despite of following instructions needed for the staff to clean the property , it was not cleaned for the entire stay. The coffe cups were not washed , the used towels were not changed. We came back every night to view the coffe mugs not cleaned, the used towels were hanged behind the door on the cogs despite of putting those on floor as instructions mentioned for cleaning staff to be cleaned even the stained beddings that we saw on first night were not changed despite of instructions.To sum it up, totally unpleasant and unhygienic experience due to cleaning staff’s lack of diligence. I can share photos that I have taken which we showed to reception while checking out and what we got was a plain sorry.

I have been different 4* hotel, but I didn’t respect like this service since we checked in. 1)Parking- Different staff said different things. 2)Bedroom- Towels are yellowish colour, not white. Beding Cover and pillowcases, they both have greasy smell, and spots stain. 3)Bathroom- Shower rail holder was broken, shower head was yellowish, hand basin was blocked. 4)I didn’t expect I need to pay for hot chocolate for myself, one of the receptionist said because I ordered from the bar.( But the things was, nobody in the reception how can I ask?) 5)I didn’t expect there were No chocolate powder offer in the room at all, only essential brand coffees and Twinnings tea bags. ( Is that a 4* hotel service will be like this??) 6)We finished breakfast in the dining area, but we just hang around to finish our hot drink, one of the staff just shout out and talk with her colleague , breakfast time is finish at 10……(Is that a 4*hotel service will be like this??) 7)I saw different guests try to request something or asking somethings,they seems to have the same answer ( I didn’t know that, no one passed me a message, let me go to find out for that ) lol….lol…. (Is that a 4*hotel service will be like this??) They are only smile on you when you are checked out and leaving the hotel.lol….lol…. First impressions good but bathroom wash hand basin plug hole blocked, so water backed up going down drain, grout very discoloured around bath/shower and in the morning we had a lukewarm shower and weren’t the only ones to complain about lack of hot water. We were told hotel full and hot water system couldn’t cope! The bed mattress is also rather firm, so will suit some better than others. We paid £15 each for breakfast, as we’d read reviews about it being a good breakfast but by 9am they had run out of croissants, only white bread for toast and no healthy option cereals, such as oats or granola. They did refund us the £5 parking fee for one night. Wouldn’t stay again. Just as comfy in a Premier Inn and a lot cheaper!

Bedroom was clean and bed was comfortable but reception staff were disinterested. There's a charge for parking your car (even for Hilton Honors members). WiFi was tediously slow and borderline unusable (don't expect to be able to access social media let alone stream content).There are better hotels in Southampton.

I stayed for just one night for business. There was only 1 person on reception at 4pm so had to queue awhile to check in. Room was nice and spacious, bed comfy and lovely soft pillows were provided but the room was cold. I turned up the heating using the controller on the wall (to 23C for fast action) but no warm air came out of the vents. I tried several more times, eventually turning it up to 29C to see if that worked, but no, still tepid air. Eventually I went to bed to keep warm (and listened to a low background hum of equipment running in the background, not my heating fan as that was off because of the cold air being blown out). Overnight temperatures outside dropped to -3C and the room was really cold at 6:30am but still would not respond to turning up the temperature control. Had to stay in the bathroom after a very hot shower to stay warm (and there was black mold around the shower sealant that needs to be sorted out). However, food was good and staff very friendly & helpful - no complaints there; but on balance, probably wouldn't stay there again.

Our room heating did not work. It took someonw over 3 hours to come and check and acknowledge that there was somethjng wrong. Then they took another 2 hrs to try to fix while we waited in cold room until after midnight. An angineer then brought a broken leg oil based plug in radiator that was not suffice for the room size. Thr reception said we cannot change room as fully booked. It was overall awful to also learn that this was ongoing issue with this hotel rooms.

Had a standard room and was very impressed - bed was comfortable and pillows were fluffy and clean (no lumps!). Full size bathroom products, amazing shower, free water in room, cookie on arrival. Convenient for town centre, short taxi drive away. Highly recommend!

Booked four rooms for my boss, and spoke to the hotel before arriving to make sure all was well, but upon arrival the hotel claimed Expedia had cancelled one. Spoke to Expedia and that wasn’t the case. They also tried to double charge for breakfast. Would not use them again.

Check in fast, friendly efficient. Room exceptionally clean. Restaurant, visually a little tired. Restaurant staff absolutely made up for that - friendly, and willing to go the extra mile. Food was really good, small menu - but with our party of 10 - cooked to perfection, and served promptly, even though the rest of the restaurant looked busy as well. Bar staff, very friendly. Special mention to Jeven who kept up with our large group orders, in the evening (Saturday 1st November)

The check out lady at the end was sooooo rude. The bed sheets were not clean, the lady who helped us with breakfast was lovely! We were charged twice for parking once when booking then when checking in poor service, I’m disabled so was very disappointed with the check out service waited ages the. She was so rude. Disappointed will not be visiting again as I frequently visit Southampton but will stay else where.

Not a good experience. The 1st room had a heating problem so we were moved to a second room. The second room also had a heating problem but we did not have time to change a 3rd time as we were due out. As expected it was a cold night but this was compounded in the morning with no hot water. On check-out the front desk staff were great and promised to send a voucher by way of apology. After 2 months no voucher had been received so I contacted the Hotel. The reply I got back from the Hotel Operations Manager said “Unfortunately we suffered some issues due to an malfunction in one of our external units that affected several rooms . However as you were moved for the majority of the remained of your stay I do not believe your experience warrants a refund . I am unsure of who you spoke to regarding a voucher or a refund as I have no communication regarding this & the staff on shift would not have been authorised to of done this” Two follow up e-mails remained unanswered. So beware if front desk staff promise you things they are no authorised to do.

Nice and quiet, stayed the night prior to going on a cruise at the port (16 mins drive). The hotel is in a wooded area which is pleasant. The rooms were great and clean apart from the floors wernt being hoovered next to the desks or under the bed (found that out when trying to find an earring)

Disappointed with the breakfast. Arrived at 10am (still 1hr of service to go) and they had run out of bacon, fried eggs, scrambled eggs and about 2 sausages left. There was also no bread for the toaster or teabags. The pancake machine was also showing an error message. Several guests were milling around trying to find something to eat, complaining of poor choice and having to wait for stocks to be refilled.We had to wait at least 10 minutes for fresh supplies of the hot food to arrive.

We went for a meal at 7 pm and a lot of the things on the menu were not available so I had to order something I didn’t really want. I could have understood this at 9.30 or so but not 7pm.

Staff were great and very helpful, comfortable bed and quiet room. Unfortunately , the food in the restaurant wasn’t the greatest and breakfast expensive for what it was.

Do not order food at the restaurant inside the hotel. We had to wait 3 hours and when the food came it was totally wrong. Countless things couldn't be ordered either as ingredients were missing or "off" in the kitchen. Birthday event ruined. Manager was very aggressive and defensive when raising the issue.

The hotel was lovely and modern with great decor and interior. It was clean and the staff were lovely. Our room was spacious. The breakfast had lots of choice too

The room had spider webbs on the ceiling (No216) i noticed the next morning I took pictures and a video of it. Toilet had loose fixtures (toilet role holder) Artwork on wall was not great, I suggest a tree or forest theam as its called double tree! Not really what i expected from Hilton, on a good note kitchen staff were amazing really helpful and easy to approach

There were issues checking in, apparently something to do with the payment not being allocated and they tried to charge me again for the room, took about 20 minutes to resolve. Once checked in, the room key didn’t work, back down to reception and it felt like getting a new key was an issue. Then I was allocated a twin room when a queen room was booked. Back down again, another 15mins at reception to get the correct room. The service from the reception staff was very poor and I felt like I was an inconvenience to them.
