The room was very nice as was the staff; the pool was closed, the stairway closest to my room was closed, the ice machine was out of order so the property needs to be brought up to the quality of the room

Positives: We reserved a King Suite for 4 nights, as a base for our long E Sierra day hikes. Spacious suite on second floor. Good price. Very clean. Very comfortable bed. Air conditioning was excellent. Shower very good. Although our room faced the main street, car and truck noise, while heard, was not an issue, as we generally slept 9:30PM-5:30AM. (There is one other King Suite near the other end, away from the main street). Friendly staff. Breakfast was ok—scrambled eggs, meat, potatoes, Cheerios, fruit loops, granola, limited fruit (oranges, apples, bananas sometimes); good coffee, bagels, muffins. We usually bring our own berries and melon to supplement. Recommend Yamatani, Holy Smokes, and Rambler Mountain Brewery. Negatives: Refrigerator could be bigger, but worked well and we managed to squeeze everything in. Staircase at our end was closed for repairs which made checking and out more of a hassle. Ice machine was not working. Overall would recommend this hotel.

The pool and hot tub were closed, we paid amount to stay here. The room was absolutely nothing special. The television did not work properly, and coming from the ice box room was a smell like something died in there. I kindly asked Expedia customer service to talk to the manager but when she tried to inquire, the Comfort in staff were combative and then hung up on her. The next morning, the staff were pleasant and breakfast was served nicely, but jeez... We paid 190 and this place wasn't really worth half of that because you could not get what you paid for and when you asked, you got hung up on. Overall, not a good experience. I've stayed on Comfort Inn's before, but this one in Bishop needs an honest review. The pool seemed to look like it was closed for years, so they really ought to update that on the listing as well. The breakfast and morning staff were honestly on the ball. They did a good job, but it was really the only nice thing about our stay.

The hotel does not have an elevator, this is not communicated in the listing. Several older couples including ourselves had to carry our luggage up the stairs… not easy. Suggest they Install a lift Provide a porter Communicate the lack of an elevator so that older people can book their room downstairs. As an aside the stairs closest to the lobby are in ill repair and shut down… needs to be addressed asap. They should add an additional ice maker by the lobby.

I would have rated maid service a 5 they were excellent. Everything is dusted, bathroom clean, beds and linens all very nice. The problem is the decor makes the room very drab. I booked this room because hotel has pool & jacuzzi! Pool was dirty and unappealing! It's summer, pool should be prestine for your guest!!!

We we looking forward to some time in/around the pool, but it was dirty, both on the bottom and the surface. Also, I took two showers during this stay and never got hot water…lukewarm at best.

Our stay was enjoyable. The only complaint is that the floors we very dirty. Needed a mopping. The spa was really dirty. Other than that beds comfy. Great complimentary breakfast. Walking distance to Schats Bakery.

It was a last minute pick that turned out fine. The only thing is the parking lot can only be entered one way (safely) from a one way street. The room was quiet as long as you ran the ac, which we did because it was hot outside. One lone cockroach in the shower but did not see others..

I like that the staff was friendly. The breakfast options were delicious. I enjoyed the fact that the pool was open late to accomodate the heat at night. I took a shower in my room and was walking barefoot in the room and my feet were dirty. Other than that there were no issues with the room.

Stairs were “broken.” Had to use a further away staircase. At the top of the stairs was a stack of 12-pack beer boxes and a massive cannabis pipe. The room was acceptably clean. No soap provided at sink or shower. Walls were paper thin. So loud all night long from neighbors and traffic on Main Street. Terrible stay won’t be back

Everyone was very nice to us, and the room was updated. The only problem that we had, in room 228, is the air conditioning system at night was so loud it was almost impossible to sleep other than that we had a nice day.

How welcoming the person who checked me in was, her name is June; all the information she gave me was clear and to the point. Over my stay there I had a number of questions that she answered that made things easier for me. Everyone that worked there had the same work ethic. I will be staying there in the future. Judy at the front desk was very helpful. The free guest breakfast is extensive and I especially appreciate that it starts at 6 am: perfect for guests who want an early start toward the mountains. Great hotel!

Judy the front desk receptionist was awesome! There was a mix up with our room request and she worked tirelessly to fix the issue. Would recommend for a short trip to Bishop.

The front desk staff is shockingly rude and unwelcoming, as if guests are an inconvenience. The outrageous price they charge for these run-down rooms should be illegal. The place reeks of stale odor, and the refrigerator and air conditioner roar so loud you’ll wish you slept in your car.

I love this hotel! Perfect location for easy access to great food and the amazing bakery a hope skip and jump away. Close to a beautiful park with a creek and a beautiful location for amazing pics.

The check in took a bit longer than normal, but the staff was friendly. The location is close to the main road, so noise was a little factor. Rooms are clean and the WiFi was great for working people. Was able to walk to a local breakfast location, Jacks, which was great. They stop serving breakfast at 9am, having an early morning meeting I was sad to miss it as I went in at 9:05 and they had it all packed up.

Pretty much what you expect from a Comfort Inn. Everything was clean and in good condition. We especially liked the convenience of the continental breakfast and the availability of coffee.

Judy at the front desk was very helpful. The free guest breakfast is extensive and I especially appreciate that it starts at 6 am: perfect for guests who want an early start toward the mountains. Great hotel!

Confort Inn is one of my Favorite motel for business travelling. This time, I was staying there with my wife 2 nights away. the Breakfast was outstanding. I enjoyed very much.

Great go-to in Bishop. I've stayed here a few times over the years and it's always been clean and comfy. Very friendly front desk too, and the free breakfast is a nice bonus before hitting the road or getting started on an early hike.

A one night stay, as planned. The room was nice but the highway outside was very noisy throughout the night. Also, the plastic keys stopped working in the morning—had to get a completely new re-coded key. This occurred well before check out time. Front desk attendant also thought it was odd.

The hotel was very old and hasn’t been updated in quite a while. Had late 90’s or early 2000’s look to it. My room did appear to be very clean. The walls to the rooms are very thin, so thin I could hear about almost half of the conversation of the couple next door. They also had a dog in their room that was whimpering when they first got there but thankfully calmed down. When I first arrived I was surprised no one was at front desk and no bell or phone to call anyone. I waited about five minutes before a younger lady came out of the bathroom. While I understand everyone needs to go, she could have said sorry to keep you waiting or been more friendly. How about sorry to keep you waiting, Instead her first words were, do you have a reservation? She wasn’t rude, but it was clear she was either having a bad day or really doesn’t like her job. When I checked out the lady working the front desk was very nice and friendly and had more patience than me. An older guy was walking around the breakfast area and said about four times I can’t find the coffee. She went over to help him and was very nice, even with the fool standing right in front of the machine. The breakfast was edible, I don’t think the scrambled eggs were real and were very runny. The rest of the food was pretty decent though. Would I stay there again, definitely not. Nor would I recommend it to anyone.
