Nice clean hotel in Pasadena. Beds very comfy, safe didn’t work but not a big deal! Nice clean pool also for the kids!

Swimming pool was closed. Water bug in my room. Checkin clerk was hard to understand. Parking at the door was good. Free coffee a plus. Charges on bill was hard to understand. Lobby was not open when l checked out early.

I Love that they are Pet Friendly! No problems there. Easy Free parking. Warm swimming pool. I was given a first floor room which I was happy to get. I got to this hotel late evening checked in and went to eat. We finally get back and right away we noticed a BIG roach problem they are EVERYWHERE outside. So of course I’m thinking the room will have them as well. Yes the room had roaches and even little tiny ones. They seem to be living behind the mini fridge which I informed the guy working Saturday morning.This room was booked for 4 people with 2 Queen beds. I was only given one bath towel. I told my daughter Saturday morning to ask for more towels and they gave her one towel so now I have 2 towels. I go to lobby and tell them I booked a room for 4 people and I need 2 more towels he said sorry he ran out and for me to ask the cleaning staff they were washing near by. They didn’t have any at the moment because they were in the dryer still. They said they would take the towels to my room. I waited over an hour and no one came so I went and got towels myself. Pros- beds were comfortable towels and bedding smelled and looked very clean only problem was the roaches and rooms were in need of work. Holes were visible everywhere near baseboards where I think roaches were coming in because room is on the first floor. I was hoping to leave a better review but the roaches do need a lot more attention and figure out how to keep them out of room. Behind Mini fridge is the roach hotel.

We just spent one night, but were very impressed with how clean and neat our room was and the pool area. Nothing fancy, but it was just what we needed for our visit! The shower was nice and no backup like other places we've stayed. It was a nice little place and made our stay that much better!

Affordable. Easy parking. Easy walk to food and convenience stores. Spacious room - super clean. Hidden gem. We're in Pasadena once a year and this will be our new go-to.

Great beds and bathrooms. Pool was kept up well (I didn't try it out). Rooms were very quiet considering location and multiple brush fire refugees with pets. I thoroughly enjoyed the luxurious waterfall showerhead. Plenty of hot water. Areas for improvement: Soda vending machine did not work. Better towels please. Guest laundry facilities are not secure, only two sets of washers/dryers for the entire complex, and they are quite old. In my room 309 only one electric outlet worked, my room phone and USB ports were nonfunctional, which meant that I couldn't use my cpap machine and charge my phone at same time. No fabric softener or bleach for purchase in laundry. The sole detergent vending machine was old, not well stocked and for whatever reason did not dispense product. There was no way to prove that I put $ in, so no basis for getting refund. Digital laundry system that takes ATM cards similar to what truck stops have would fix this! I ended up taking my dirty laundry home to do. Need menus in rooms for restaurants, stores or food sources within walking distance, or those who work with delivery services. No coffee in room. I grew up in Glendale, know the area well, and even I had to work at finding food, and this motel is on Colorado Blvd, the main drag in Pasadena. Please add a dog run, even a small one, since there were many guests with pets. Property renovation is very nice so far, just please continue the good work and continue with upgrades and fixes.

Parking Lot gets crowded/Full every night to the point there’s no parking spaces or your car gets blocked in with other vehicles.

It didn’t feel like the safest area. Lots of homeless people around, including in the parking lot. The room was great and seemed recently updated. The pool was really nice. Breakfast was beyond disappointing. Granola bars are not breakfast. Even if the room was great, I would have paid a bit more for the booking for an actual breakfast. Towels were really hard to get from the front desk. Any time I asked I had to wait 30-60 minutes. Two towels are not enough for three people or for using after the pool. Staff was nice.

This Motel has pool, on expedia site doesnt talk about any pool Is the best option quality/price you will get near of universal studios

Not adequate parking. There were no less than 7 police officers when I arrived at just past midnight on a long travel day. If it hadn't been so late I would have tried to find another property.

The second night I was there, despite the clean room, out came two cockroaches and about 16 bedbugs. I couldn’t sleep a wink because one of them was on my nightstand. Beyond gross. Almost went to my car to try and sleep. Note: no food or drink left outside the fridge. So disgusted.

This place has roaches . ROACHES, CUCARACHAS.

There were no towels in our room upon check in and no maid service during the two nights stay. The sink had a drainage issue, which resulted in a musty stale smell in the room. Staff at the desk were very friendly and responsive.

We have been coming to this hotel for years—under various ownership. It’s been our go to hotel in this area. However, we were greatly disappointed on this stay. The floors were noticeably dirty. We had to purchase a broom to clean the floor. We had to wear socks to keep our feet clean. Our socks were disgustingly dirty. We also found numerous cockroaches. We will not be staying here again.

Easy to get to property, large parking area. Many green areas for my dog to go bathroom. One negative issue was the bathroom, it has black mold on the walls. Ans ceiling so we were too scare to use it.

The hotel was so dirty we could not stay there. The management would not let us change rooms so not sure if all the rooms were dirty. We actually checked out of the hotel the day we got there and had to pay for a second room. So we are out over 400.00. We will not book through this site in the future.

There were roaches all over the room which we noticed the first night of our stay. Even when housekeeping came, none of the towels or toiletries were replaced and the bed was poorly thrown together.

We loved our stay at this Motel 6! Our room was very spacious, with a nice easy chair and desk along with two very comfy beds plus a fridge and microwave! There was extra space on the bathroom counter and a great bathroom area as well. It was perfect for us… very clean and comfortable, with plenty of parking right by our room! This place is a health hazard. Mold in the bathroom, fleas in the beds. It’s too bad because it’s in a really nice location. It’s like nobody has ever once cleaned the ceiling in the bathroom. Really great location and would be a nice place if they would do a deep clean.

The room could have used a better sweeping and dusting. But the beds and bathroom were clean.

Room was clean. AC was super loud. My room was charged before arrival, even though I chose the pay later option.

For a motel 6 my expectations were really low but it served us well. The bed was comfortable (pillows maybe worn down but mattress was good). The room was spacious and everything worked.

Overall it was good except the pillows were rather flat and we only had one bath towel for 3 people. Also, the rooms are noisy. The people directly above us got back to their room well after midnight and their walking was really loud. I’ve never been able to hear guests above me like that at any motel/hotel. All this said, I'd still stay there again.

Well...it's not actually in Old Town Pasadena. The room needs updating. The bed was not great. Pillows were flat and the towels have seen better days. Motel 6 please do better!

The beds were super uncomfortable we could feel the coils or whatever is inside. Didn’t make for a good sleep at all we slept terrible. After I had gotten out of the shower and gotten dressed I stepped into the shower to grab my toiletries only to leave behind black foot prints. The elevator is scary. The staff however were all very very nice.

Rollaway bed was a mouse trap very painful to sleep on. This hotel needs to invest in new beds. The ones there are very uncomfortable.

The A/C & the ventilation systems are very old & it was very loud, I had a hard time sleeping. If turned it of I felt like not having enough air, if on it's too loud to sleep.

Overall: Much better than I was expecting for a Motel 6, but not great. Mostly Good: Clean, smallish rooms (not tiny though), very attentive room service everyday, clean vinyl plank flooring, comfortable bed, fairly quiet (minor freeway noise overnight, not enough to bother me, and I’m a very light sleeper). Older building but rooms appear to have been renovated within last five years or so. The room has very basic features: noisy wall mounted HVAC w/ rudimentary controls; fridge and micro but no countertop area, sink (other than bathroom), plates, utensils, etc; non-smart TV, so no access to Netflix, etc. Everything worked though, bathroom very clean, overhead showerhead a bit funky and about half the spouts were clogged or not working. Biggest Con: Wifi quirky and unreliable. System disconnects your device from the wifi after one hour, every hour, and you have to try to reconnect, which frequently took numerous tries or didn’t work. Multiply this by phone, tablet, and laptop, and I had to go through this clunky process about 15 times a day. This problem was exacerbated by lack of a smart TV, which means you have to use laptop to watch Netflix/Amazon Prime etc., but you are interrupted every hour to reconnect to wifi. The place is advertised as Old Town Pasadena, which is deliberately deceiving as it is nowhere near the desirable Old Town section of Pasadena and is instead several miles away in a somewhat run down, area of town. Homeless folks were harmless though.

The room was pleasant and newly renovated. The cleaning staff was excellent. The "breakfast" was granola bars, yogurts and instant oatmeal. When I asked for milk for the oatmeal, I was told there wasn't any milk. The Internet connection was fine in the lobby but in the upstairs room away from the router, there was nothing. This must be a regular problem as they had a printed sign at the front desk and an 800 number to call where they tried to get you to reconfigure your computer.

They doubled the rate on me. Will not do business with again. Went from $100 a night to $200 night for each of my two rooms.

I had reserved and paid for 2 rooms upon checking in we were told Expedia had cancelled one of the rooms. I quickly called Expedia and upon further investigation turns out that motel 6 over booked themselves and decided to cancel 1 of my rooms without notifying me. Horrible customer service at the front desk: They were neither helpful or apologetic just tried to blame Expedia for their mistake. Would never return or recommend.

First room assigned had a broken TV. But what was more troublesome was lack of helpfulness at the desk. Staff member mumbled EVERYTHING even when asked to repeat. He gave no effort to extend a welcome or be of help. He was put off when I came back to say that TV didn't work. Also would or could not accommodate a request for 1st floor room due to health issues. Not even offering a 2nd story room. No, we were given a 3 floor room with all stairs to get there. Room was clean. But service was worst I have experienced in a long while.

Front desk was not very friendly at check in. I have a chronic illness and was sick on stay and asked for a few more towels. They yelled that I “ruined” a towel. Mind you these towels are paper thin and I’m sure they bleach them anyways. They called me and yelled at me to not ruin anymore towels. I’m legally blind and asked if we could get a lower level at check in… they told us they have an elevator… the bathroom door does not have any lock just barn door like.

The rooms were ok but some needs a little more TLC. The staff were quite friendly and easy to deal with.

Booked a room When i got to the room it stunk with cigarettes. I went back and asked for non smoking room. They said that would be $18 extra. When i was in office latter a couple was complaning about getting smoking room also. They were charged $10 to change to non smoking. Said they had to pay that in cash only. Also when booked the toom there was no place to check non smoking. Scam to get extra money

Staff was great; they settled a disturbance in the middle of the night quickly.

A basic 2 star hotel located in a very convenient location at Pasadena. We had a tournament at Caltech and the hotel is 2 miles from the university and provided a quite place for rest.

The hotel was OK/no frills for a short stay, and convenient enough to the Rose Bowl, on a 15 min drive/Uber. There's Sierra Madre Station (A Line) some 18 minutes walking.

Nice budget hotel close to downtown area.

My friend and I stayed here for a concert at the Rose Bowl and it was the perfect location. It was about 15 minutes from the venue. It was around a lot of restaurants and about 15 minutes from bars and clubs. The room itself was better than what i expected. It had a pretty big bathroom and a nice vanity mirror. Definitely remodeled and it had a mini fridge which was perfect for our drinks. I didn't feel unsafe but we did come across some homeless people lingering around the parking lot. The room did have a smell to it but it was nothing crazy. I think it exceeded my expectations and would def stay here again.

Property was centrally located and served our needs perfectly. So many wonderful places to eat. Home Depot is super close! Nice experience.

Easy to go to Old Pasadena with public transportation. Plenty of parking space. The room was clean. Stayed for a week without any concerns.

Decent, clean motel on the eastside of Pasadena near the Sierra Madre Metro dtation and bus lines. Rooms are simple but spacious with upgraded bathrooms. The included self-serve breakfast is more of a joke with few items available. There isnt even real milk for coffee or cereal, just dry "spackle" creamer.

This hotel looked clean and safety. Unfortunately bathroom was mold between tiles. Great location. The breakfast was choose from yogurts and quick oat flakes - not continental breakfast.

Very disappointed in what was offered for breakfast, only had oatmeal and yogurt choices. Other hotels offer bagels, toast, sweet rolls , waffles, etc. will not the staying at this hotel again and won’t be recommending it to friends.

We have stayed here for years, due mostly to their pet-friendly policy and the lovely swimming pool which seems to go unused much of the time. The AC is noisy, though, and the breakfast (granola bars and yogurt) is on the slim side. Still, value for money is fine!

I have to say this was one of the worst rooms we’ve ever stayed in. Something clearly traumatic happened on the threshold of our room. There were obvious bleach marks on the ground, covered by fresh paint, and the room door had clearly been broken into previously. They just repaired it rather than replacing it. Once we got inside, there was a musty smell and a constant wind tunnel sound that we couldn’t figure out where it was coming from. The WiFi was AWFUL. First, the network wouldn’t appear unless we went outside the room, then it connected briefly before losing internet in the room. We had to use our hotspots the whole stay. There was a bug in the shower, the floors were dirty and the bed was hard as a rock. There was no Do Not Disturb sign available and someone clearly entered our room while we were gone. Oh, and the free continental breakfast that was advertised was not true. No point in mentioning anything to the staff, they weren’t very welcoming and didn’t appear to care. The shabu shabu place next door was really good though.

THERE IS NO BREAKFAST at this Hotel. One main reason we booked here and to find out there is no breakfast. TV didn’t work. The room was very clean and location wasn’t too noisy. Would not stay here again.
