The staff is always friendly, the property is close enough to walk to any needed amenities. Plus they are always very sweet to animals!

The curtain didn’t close complete cause it was damaged at the very top. Someone else left their clothes folded in drawer (take that however way you want to…I see it as a customer not being thorough, rather than maid service .. whatever). Everything was pretty basic . There was a fridge and microwave. Fridge gets really cold. My boiled eggs froze but not my can sodas. Laundry room was closed but they had a washer and dryer outside the door. 2 bucks for either load. I would say the best thing was the dennys next door and the mini plazas (including lucky) a few blocks away. Fast food joints everywhere. You’re right next to a gas station too and there’s usually a taco truck there. All in all it was good. Basic with a few trimmings here and there.

There were cockroaches inside the room and I noticed there was a roach sticky trap under the bed. There was a $50.00 security deposit. The rooms need home improvement as there are cracks in the room. There are washing machines in am outside room where you would have to monitor because anyone (especially the homeless who can open the washer and dryers). The light switches are not good. The bathtub/shower is dirty looking, old 1970s and needs to be improved. The toilet they put in flushed like bidet . In order to turn on the heater I had to step on a chair as the heater is located near the ceiling. The remote control for the air conditioner/heater does not indicate settings for heat.

Parking

Parking was fine. The room needs updating a lot. Outlets did not work, Water pressure was very low and the sink did not drain well at all.

The Vagabond is a very inexpensive place to stay. The room was in fair condition. The only bad thing I saw was burn holes in the comforter. The wifi is extremely weak and should br addressed immediately. The pool has been closed by the county for bad water chemistry. I don't mind staying here for work, but i wouldn't bring my family here.

Actually this wasn't a bad stay. The room was clean, and unlike Motel 6, they do have a truly pet friendly policy. My only complaint is that on the Expedia site, the pet fee was listed at $25.00, NOT $25.00 per day! That's a big difference, and should be changed. However, staff was generally pleasant, it wasn't terribly loud and the AC worked very well.

My room was nice and had everything we needed. I liked the bed and interior. Plenty of parking and friendly staff. There are several dining options within couple of blocks. But for best dining I would recommend driving to downtown which is less than 10 minutes away.

Nice clean quiet room. Coffee, microwave and fridge. Dogs allowed, and we were given an extra blanket for them. The building is modest, not flashy, but the room rate fit our budget. We stayed while repairs were being done on our house. Staff very nice too.

Had to have my belonging professionally cleaned as room 112 was crawling with german cockroaches.

The bedding was dirty stained with stuff and they had burn spots like with cigarettes

Very dirty

We stayed here two years ago. That time, the floors were dirty and needed mopping, some of the ADA hardware was not maintained/installed correctly, and several pieces of furniture had damage. I that time the shower bench was not fixed, the toilet seat was still the wrong size, the bathroom door jamb was still loose, one chair was still missing a foot, the dresser was still torn up on the bottom. The floor was mopped, but we had roaches in the room, and we could not get an extra pillow.

One of the grossest rooms I’ve ever stayed in, I almost left but didn’t want to waste the money I’d already spent. The tub is brown, there was spit in the sink, all the fixtures have stains and dust, the remotes are sticky…I’m sorry but this place has seen better days. I know this is on the more economical end of the price scale but a deep cleaning could help a ton. Will never stay here again

The bed sheets were dirty and the bed frame had a big hole in it

I had a bad experience, I had stayed before there but this last time it was yesterday I suffered bites of bedbugs which I immediately went to the hospital and to take a report to the public health of the state now I live with panic and anxiety I told the manager and he only returned my deposit and I did not take any action

I stayed here for 28 days, for the price it was best suited for me. The employees were attentive and respectful. I only had wifi problems but not so horrible that a phone call to IT solved. I will come back again. The shower was my favorite.

It’s what you would expect from a cheaper hotel. It’s old and cramped and patched together for years. It was clean ish but the duvet covers on the beds both had burns in them. Beds and pillows were hard. The upstairs room made a ton of noise just walking around and when they flushed their toilet or showered it made an awful noise in our room. All in all it served its purpose of giving us a place to sleep for the night.

The bottom of the white tub looked as if it hadn't been washed for months, the top of the baseboards were not clean, the faucet on the sink was loose, the floor tile was broken in numerous places and the bed was very hard.

The internet was terrible....could not get to many sites, including my G-mail and Amazon! One note said the admin had blocked access. I called the desk, he just replied he had service (of course, the office!) I called the tech number and she led me through some steps, but determined in my room there was poor reception, not close enough to a router. Plenty of other motels in the area; stay somewhere else!

Nice and was just renovated. Like the hard wood floors. Only complaint,the mattress was old and worn out. Other than that, everything else was okay.

Always a good and quiet place. They replaced the old bed with a new one and it’s comfy. They also replaced the drapes with better ones.

The couple in the room next to us were fighting all night. The hotel receptionist called our room screaming at us assuming we were the ones making the noise. The hotel staff didn’t do anything about the noise therefore we were not able to get any sleep that night. The hotel manager only gave us half a refund. So pretty much we payed for a hotel room just to hear a bunch of noise and not get any sleep. Highly disappointed.

Clean and comfortable vroom, helpful front desk staff

Expedia didn’t have any mention of pet fees for this inn. The person who checked us inn also didn’t ask nor tell us about the pet fee. We purposefully booked a place that was pet-friendly so we assumed the front desk would see that information and put us in the right place. Suffice to say, the guy who checked us in was terse and didn’t say a word. Not even greeting us politely, he seemed bored. Then come last day, some lady corners me and says “you have pets?? You have to pay the fee. You should’ve read the sign and if you didn’t read it that’s your fault.” I understand a pet fee. What I don’t understand is why it wasn’t communicated. We didn’t try to hide anything. We didn’t know and lady puts the onus on us to read signs while they should’ve known our accommodation needs. Or at least asked for it. Now, while she charged for the pet fee , she didn’t charge a penalty which was fine. I just wish there was info communicated clearly between Expedia and the inn, because this was a surprise fee And for the place itself, I mean $89 a night, what you expect? Random figures hanging about all day staring. Holes in the shower curtain and bed sheets, sticky patches on the carpet, The shower was fine but when you pulled on the tab, water was still flushing out the faucet so it was a waste. The toilet had scratches on it and peeling, the flush buttons were basically loose, no tissues, some dirt in the drawers I mean I can go on, but yeah, it’s $89/ night so it’s fine for the price

Had to dispute to get my deposit back

Well staying over Thanksgiving is always a challenge. High prices low availability. This was not true where I stayed. I even had to book an extra night and the front office helped me with that. The room was clean and had fresh towels.

They said the water was going to be shut off the following morning from 8am until 12 so I had to wake up early. They charged me $50 when I got there as a deposit and then instead of receiving it again they charged me another $50 in don’t know if there was a parking fee but I got dropped off and picked up. I got hung up on twice trying to figure all this out and only got reimbursed $50 . I would never go back

Good value. I like how the room had a separate table and desk. Clean room and a good location. I didn't use the pool but it looks legit.

Owner and staffs are very friendly. The location is centrally located. It is very convience Sunnyvale Mountain View, Palo Alto, West San Jose. And the price is so affordable. I will definitely stay in this hotel if I am visiting Silicon Vally Bay Area.

I like this hotel because of the good location (crosspoint of 237 and 101 and Mathilda). The only problem is the noise of neighboring rooms at night.

I Have stayed here quite a few times. Friendly service, clean rooms, quiet area and a lot of nearby dining choices.

Vagabond is a reasonably priced motel. Thw staff is couteous and accomodating. Good bfast place Hobees is next door. I stay here when I am in the South bay.

Nice having a Denny's on site

I thinks the price is fair if you just want a place to sleep and have a shower. The place is clean and walkable, but I think it needs improvement in the conditions at least in my room. It didn’t have AC but I couldn’t open the window because the mesh screen wasn’t installed properly (it was very loose).
