Rooms are very spacious and fully remodeled. Very close to the ski hill. The negative was NO PARKING. We checked in then went to dinner to come back to zero parking. We were told parking is first come first served. So just know that there may be no parking when you arrive. I parked blocking the dumpster and it worked out but glad the garbage truck didn’t come and none dumped any trash during the night.

Great location. Check in/check out was easy. Hot tub and sauna are still under construction so had to drive to the other location for hot tubbing. Considering there is a resort fee charged this should be discounted due to not all amenities being available without driving to another location. Other than that the room was spacious and decently outfitted for a hotel room.

Great stay for our family of 5 while on ski getaway. Shuttle was prompt every 30 min to the ski resort. Condo was roomy and had full kitchen allowing us to save on meals and cook some of our own. Breakfast was minimal- nothing hot. Enjoyed hot tub and sauna after ski days.

So it was a bit expensive for my budget. Very clean newly remodeled external entry. Three story walk up. Kitchen had most stuff necessary to cook except enoughpans. Wasn’t happy with $16 resort fee. Location was excellent and had a shuttle to the ski hill next time I’ll go someplace cheaper.

Great deal for the price. The 2 bedroom unit was about the same price as a basic hotel room anywhere else, and 5x the size. That more than made up for its downsides: all the property amenities were closed/under construction, there was a red stain on our sheets, no wash cloths in the bathrooms, difficult parking (lot filled up), and an early checkout time. All of that would have bothered me a lot more if we were paying for a hotel. But for such an affordable big 2 bed 2 bath apt in steamboat, I can't fault them any more than 1 star for any of that. Solid 4/5 star experience.

Great 2 bedroom with full kitchen to share with group. Nice coffee, great patio overlooking a park like area, free breakfast, easy parking & very comfortable & clean. Property did not have a pool or hot tub but you have access to a Sister resort 1 mile away which is nice.

This property has been updated; however, it wasn’t quality updates. The AC is positioned at the head of the bed so it blows in your face while you sleep, which was annoying and made it difficult to sleep. We were there for 5 days and they never came by to clean the room, restock towels, etc and there wasn’t a mop to be able to tidy up on our own. The hotel states it offers breakfast but don’t get your hopes up - it consisted of cereal, bagels, orange juice, and coffee. The property has a sauna and hot tub but no pool. The pictures reflect a game room with a pool table, but they either didn’t have it or it was unavailable during our trip. The location of the property isn’t bad, it’s conveniently located about a 5 min drive from the mountain and is near restaurants and grocery stores. The next time we visit Steamboat we will not stay here. Highly recommend viewing the property details on their website or calling prior to booking through Expedia because the Expedia post didn’t reflect that the property would be under construction or some amenities may not be available during our stay. After booking, I received a direct message from the hotel letting me know that the sauna, hot tub, and games would be unavailable during our stay. I contacted the hotel who refused to refund me or allow us to transfer our booking to their sister property and Expedia stated there was nothing they could do either. Just be aware the post may not be accurate of what you will receive!

amazing renovation of old motel. issues with lighting, floor needed mopping from heavy dust, but otherwise clean. main issue was that the AC unit/ heat pump was located directly (within 1.5 feet) of you head when you sleep. unit should have been located away from head of bed. it was unusable at night and there were no operable windows in the bedroom.

We stayed for 2 nights while in the area for a wedding and fit our needs great. Plenty of space for just the 2 of us and would have been perfect for a larger group too. People mentioned the AC units are loud, and we agree, but we just turned the bedroom one off at night. Between the fans and the AC unit in the front, we stayed very comfortable. There was not a lot of natural light so the unit was relatively cool on its own. I would have loved to have a full length mirror somewhere in the unit. We were getting ready for an event and our only mirror was the bathroom vanity. And only 4 stars for cleanliness as the bathroom could have used a little more attention, especially the shower and floors. Overall, we’d stay again if we found ourselves back in CO. Hard to beat the price for the space and the location was great for our needs.

Two bedroom suite, 3 nights, non-refundable rate. Both beds had black dog hair (we also had our dog, so we were sort of ok with). The linens and towels had stains. They were cleaned but obviously very old and would not be used if a branded hotel with standards. Floors had been swept but were definitely not mopped or cleaned. Hairs all over the bathroom and in the shower. Our friends who traveled w us had a larger issue in their room (legacy moved them) and the hotel across the street was sold out, so we sucked it up and made most of the trip. Morning shuttle service to the mountain was fine. Good luck getting back in the afternoon. We waited 45 minutes day 1 and ended up having a friend pick us up instead. We waited 30+ minutes day 2. Lines at steamboat were long, but we could count 3-5 shuttles for the other hotels compared to 1 for legacy. There is either 1 shuttle or they are bundled up and arrive at same time. Finally, there is a resort fee that I don’t recall seeing when we booked (maybe it was). I asked the front desk what was included and she said “the amenities”. I think the fee is for the fruit and granola bars in the lobby each morning and the shuttle, but I question the value. There are a ton of junk fees being charged by hotels these days, this one feels like they are charging because their competitors do… but they don’t add any value. We left a night early and forfeited the third non refundable night… hotel did offer to move us, but we had already packed.

These units have been recently renovated so everything is new, fresh and exceptionally clean. They are easy walking distance from the grocery and bus stop. If you have bikes, it is easy and beautiful to ride the paths around town.

We paid a very high price for one night expecting great accommodations and what looked like a nice place and walked into what could have been a great room except there was dirty socks on our deck, a discarded dust mask, a stained couch, and hair in the bathroom. It was not a welcoming property due to the old walkways and a/c units projecting out of windows into the walkway. We stayed in many hotels across the country that week and this was thee most expensive (even compared to our last nights stay in Nashville in a suite on the river) If Management reads this I would say, focus on the details in your rooms, stained anything is unacceptable, dirty floors and other peoples dirty clothes are unacceptable. Hair anywhere is difficult to remove, I get it, but for the prices you demand, no one expects to live with others DNA. The outside A/C units are an eye-sore on what can be a nice property. Do better.

The exterior is a little run down, but the interior has been remodeled. There were several aspects of the remodel that seemed half done, with a toilet paper roll hanging from one screw in the wall, random holes and screws sticking out, a “barn door” that wouldn’t stay on its track. It looks really good intentioned just missed the mark a bit. The heater didn’t seem to be able to keep up with how cold it was outside and the room was pretty chilly. However, it was clean and looked nice from a distance. It would be a good place to stay if you can get a discount on some higher end places and are expecting it to not be high end. It has a full kitchen which is nice.

This hotel looks like it’s had a beautiful remodel. The hotel was very nice and the lobby was a perfect gathering spot. The staff was very friendly. Our room was awesome!!! We had a two bedroom two bathroom with a full kitchen, dining area and living room area. It also had a cute back patio! I wish I could have stayed longer!

Nice updated property and liked to have a kitchen in the unit. My son had fun playing the mini golf. Only downside were the ac units, they were very loud and I would wake up every time it went off at night.

amazing renovation of old motel. issues with lighting, floor needed mopping from heavy dust, but otherwise clean. main issue was that the AC unit/ heat pump was located directly (within 1.5 feet) of you head when you sleep. unit should have been located away from head of bed. it was unusable at night and there were no operable windows in the bedroom.

The rooms have been nicely renovated, however, the outside still looks pretty dilapidated. There are holes in the concrete on walkways just filled in with rocks (still a tripping hazard). The room was very clean and the laminate wood floors definitely made it feel cleaner. The AC is swamp cooler units (not HVAC) and the sliding bathroom doors had gaps. The mattresses were the type that made noise with any move (caution if you’re a light sleeper). You will need to bring lotion with you as the room only had soap. They also did not have any extra toiletries (like spare toothbrushes) at the front desk. They tried to charge a “non-refundable pet deposit”, which I think they misunderstand what a deposit is - that should be labeled as a fee. Note, that is no where listed on their Expedia listing and therefore cannot be charged for the reservation. The front desk staff were very nice and easy to work with.

We enjoyed our stay at the Fold. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The kitchen was fully equipped and clean. We would stay there again!

Our room was perfect for our needs, spotlessly clean with comfy beds, and was clearly recently renovated. The only suggestions I would recommend to the property owner would be to ensure the faucets are secure, as the sink in the kitchenette's faucet spun around when trying to turn the water on.

The rooms could use a few more furniture items, such as bedside lamps, clothes hooks on bathroom doors, and living room lamp(s). The air conditioner in the bedroom blows directly on the head of the bed..but not an issue in cold weather. The room was very clean, and the kitchen well stocked. Very large paved parking lot. All in all a good value for the price.

There was nobody to check us in. They must have gone home. We had to use an old phone that you couldn’t hear anything on and talk to an operator in some other state. Whom even knows who. Didn’t have any physical face to face with someone. No run down of the property. Didn’t even show my id or card to check in. There was a line of people waiting also. Tit was just like pull up and figure out what to do on your own.

Service was terrible We asked 6 times over 2 days for dishwasher pods. There were none in kitchen and told every time they’d bring right up. Never did. And same w shuttle from ski. 3 min away repeatedly said and finally came 40 min. So many waiting by then , they could barely all cram on. Temps were very cold at the time. Really frustrating experience. Poor quality furniture in room falling apart.

The staff were rude on multiple occasions. When I asked for more towels instead of responding affirmatively, the staff member said rudely “you should have had six towels” which was irrelevant to my question and made me feel I wasn’t allowed more than a certain number of towels. When told those would be delivered within 5 minutes, the items never arrived at my suite until I asked again the next day. Additionally, members of my party were waiting for the shuttle to take them to the ski resort and the front desk staff was extremely rude when they inquired how long the wait would be. Overall, I appreciated the price and convenience of the property but feel it is very bare bones in terms of amenities.

The suites were recently renovated and very comfortable, spacious, clean, and well stocked. The property manager was completely awesome in every way, and they went out of their way to facilitate our needs. Had great conversations with the staff and they did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable.

When we arrived we were unable to check in due to a WiFi outage which was understandable. However, the person at the desk was extremely rude despite us being understanding and patient.

I reserved through Expedia. My arrival was delayed so they gave my room away. We had a loft suite rated to sleep 4. The bed was OK, but the sleeper sofa was torture. My reservation was for three nights, was late and as noted, they did not have me in the system for the second night. I ate the third night because of the sleeper sofa. I will not stay again.

Where to start, other than you get what you pay for I guess. The insulation between the floors and walls is horrible. We were kept up all night (2:30 am) by partying and screaming neighbors all three nights. Why they didn’t get thrown out the first or subsequent nights is baffling. Not to mention the barking dogs during the day. We called security every night and even knocked on their door because security didn’t show up the first night. I texted the property with zero response. The first night no one answered the phone at all. I asked to be moved but could be accommodated. Since I couldn’t move rooms I asked them again to try to keep the neighbors under control but that didn’t help. We arrived at 430 for a 4pm check in and the room still wasn’t ready and had to wait. I asked for clean towels and that never happened. They were out of soap in the shower which was never filled. When you look at cleanliness of a place you can tell who does a good job because the door casing and bathroom walls will be clean. This wasn’t. The rest of it was clean. I asked for a late checkout and was also not accommodated. I thought they’d be understanding being we were kept up by the partying. Staff only offered for us to use the sister property to hang out at in the lobby or pool. I was told I could get a partial one day $14 resort fee refund for the inconvenience which was not refunded. Seriously…

We ended up staying here on two nonconsecutive nights, because the fires changed our plans. We appreciated how nice the rooms looked; they were clean and not shabby. Two bedrooms and two baths were perfect, since we had a friend with us. I also liked that we were across the street from Safeway and dining options were nearby. It was an all-around great experience!

Every thing in this remodeled hotel is new, clean and pleasant to stay with. The 2 bedrooms and the living room are spacious for our family of 4. The kitchen is well equipped with cooking utensils. The location is great, close to glocery stores. My daughters went to Zipline adventure, we all enjoyed soaking in the strawberry hot springs and hiking at the Fish Creak Waterfall trail. We can't expect more from this wonderful hotel. Strongly recommend it.

Great location. Check in/check out was easy. Hot tub and sauna are still under construction so had to drive to the other location for hot tubbing. Considering there is a resort fee charged this should be discounted due to not all amenities being available without driving to another location. Other than that the room was spacious and decently outfitted for a hotel room.

The suite was amazing, especially at the price. The after-6pm check-in over the phone was a little awkward; also, it would have been nice to have breakfast available earlier, but there is a McDonalds close by. Overall we were very happy.

Was easy to find and our room was very clean. The resort was in the middle of remodeling so it is hard to say how clean the main areas are normally, also with the remodel the free breakfast area was one folding table and nowhere to sit. The location has several restaurants and quite a bit of shopping near by. You also have easy access to the public transportation for Steamboat. All in all It was a nice room with nice beds, a comfortable couch and the bathroom was big with plenty of towels and rags. The gentleman checking us in was very kind, friendly and efficient.

Great stay for our family of 5 while on ski getaway. Shuttle was prompt every 30 min to the ski resort. Condo was roomy and had full kitchen allowing us to save on meals and cook some of our own. Breakfast was minimal- nothing hot. Enjoyed hot tub and sauna after ski days.

Paola was sweet and helpful. she had to come to our room the first night and it took 15 minutes to get our television to stream yet we could not get it to stream last night and the office was closed. We reserved a 2 bedroom and full kitchen which had the bare minimum and not even salt or pepper. The room has been updated and is clean but sparse and cold. The couch and chair in the living room are hard and uncomfortable to relax on. We requested a late check out via text at approximately 7:30 PM the night before, and received no response. Requested late check out again at 8:30 AM with no response. Called the hotel directly to find out that the office doesn't open until 10 AM which is check out. the call center said they would send the request to our front desk so they could let us know at 10 AM if we need to get out at 10 AM. We received the call at 10:30 AM. We were told there was a breakfast for guests from 8 AM to noon so I'm curious how that is set out for their guests, if the office is closed. Breakfast consisted of bananas, cereal, milk and juice. No coffee, tea, creamer, etc. The pool and jacuzzi are under renovation, yet we paid a resort fee. this hotel does not have the staffing to run it, and they were not prepared to have guests.

We had an issue with the sink being clogged, but they changed us to another room right away. Everything in the room was updated, new and modern. All kitchen supplies that we needed to cook breakfast. They also have a hot tub which we wished we had used. Hotel has a shuttle service to the ski lift, couldn’t be better located. We’ll definitely come back :)

Great 2 bedroom with full kitchen to share with group. Nice coffee, great patio overlooking a park like area, free breakfast, easy parking & very comfortable & clean. Property did not have a pool or hot tub but you have access to a Sister resort 1 mile away which is nice.

Legacy Vacation Resorts at Steamboat Springs was exactly what we were looking for. It was close to everything and all the activities we wanted to do were within minutes by car or by bicycle. The room was clean and quiet and the kitchen had everything we needed. We were able to cook our own meals which saved money on dining out. I would definately stay here again!

Our second time staying and perfect place for traveling w families. So convenient to pack/unpack, close to downtown, and love the outdoor spaces and game room. Also super convenient to Safeway, Starbucks, and Walgreens, as well as food options. Nothing fancy or extravagant but recently updated, new, modernized, and hidden gem for a trip to Steamboat. We plan to return again next year!

Having 2 separate bedrooms, a full kitchen, and air conditioning were great. Beyond that the stay left a lot to be desired. When we were being told about the resort amenities at check-in, free bottled water was mentioned, but the cooler was never restocked the entire time we were there. The next morning we discovered there is no coffee maker in the room, just the coffee that’s put out in the lobby. This property was advertised with a light breakfast, but there was never food available during our stay, which was something we had planned on. In terms of the room, the primary bedroom comforter had several yellows stains and a dead bug on it when we arrived. We also saw a few ants on the floor and wall during our stay. The first night we discovered one of the showers was clogged with a large amount of shaved hair resulting in standing water. Maintenance did arrive within half an hour at 9 o’clock at night, but we could only wonder how that shower had been properly cleaned without discovering the problem. The evening reception host was very nice and helpful but the morning reception host was quite rude and then completely absent when we went to check out. Fortunately, they have a kiosk so you can check yourself out. The air conditioners in the windows worked, but they were quite loud and all blinking that their filters needed to be replaced. While the marketing photos look cool, the renovation was really lipstick on a pig of an old motel.
Having 2 separate bedrooms, a full kitchen, and air conditioning were great. Beyond that the stay left a lot to be desired. When we were being told about the resort amenities at check-in, free bottled water was mentioned, but the cooler was never restocked the entire time we were there. The next morning we discovered there is no coffee maker in the room, just the coffee that’s put out in the lobby. This property was advertised with a light breakfast, but there was never food available during our stay, which was something we had planned on. In terms of the room, the primary bedroom comforter had several yellows stains and a dead bug on it when we arrived. We also saw a few ants on the floor and wall during our stay. The first night we discovered one of the showers was clogged with a large amount of shaved hair resulting in standing water. Maintenance did arrive within half an hour at 9 o’clock at night, but we could only wonder how that shower had been properly cleaned without discovering the problem.
