Quality Inn Fort Walton Beach - Destin West

Breakfast was nasty

We reserved two rooms. One room had no blinds or towels and someone’s belongings were left. We asked for a different room and they did give us a different room. One room had sand in the bed sheets before we’d even been to the beach. The outdoor pool was closed. A whisk broom/pan would be handy to sweep up sand on the floors in each room. The outside doors to the building were unlocked at all hours of the night. It did not feel safe. The breakfast was a positive. The view was pretty but the small beach area needed to be cleaned up. Lots of cigarette butts and trash. We spent 4 nights.

Nice sized room with fridge and microwave, comfy beds BUT not enough linen for a 3 person room for 3 days, no top ring on sink ( made it look dirty), pink mold in the shower, no non slip/textured floor or gran bars in shower. Advertised as a buffet breakfast it was simply a buffet-style continental breakfast. Not a horrible stay for the money.

Outside grounds look good, inside smells horrible of cigarette, and weed smoke. Super hot upstairs, room was hot because the air was off and didnt even cool off through the night. There were also roaches. Yes, the gross kind. Towels, and linens were stained. Bathroom had 2 towels and one wash cloth. Had to hunt down staff to get enough for all of us. We stayed one night and found something else for the next night.

Not the room I saw on the picture, the air conditioning wasn’t the best so sleeping with blankets was very difficult
