This review would take more than 1500 spaces. This pains me because i have been staying here for years but every year over the last 5 -10 years the rooms have degraded to a level below motel 6 standards. The property (plants and trees) still look great except nothing works or is in desperate need of repairs. From the useless basketball courts to a hot tub that didnt work to a par 3 golf course that is in total disrepair, beyond the foilage help is desperately needed. Every building that is not the main building needs a complete and total renovation from outside to inside. These buildings have so much mold and insect damage along with bathrooms with no water pressure, decaying tile and shower and bath areas that I cannot believe have not been condemned by the state. The walls are filthy. The carpet is old and filthy. The tile is disgustingly filthy. The mattresses are long past due for a replacement along with every single pillow. My favorite the lagoon view rooms constantly smells of leaking natural gas because i guess the unlit tiki torches are leaking the gas. The pier is constantly used for fishing by guests and non guests (dont know how they get in) at all hours of the day and night including people throwing fishing nets into the water that you cannot even enjoy the view standing on the pier along with people smoking on the pier (from pot to cigars). Nobody from the hotel cared or policed the area. In total, unless pro bass fixes and makes changes, no more cheecah!!

Really a nice place. Overall the Keys are an older area with many hotels/resorts showing signs of deferred maintenance. This place was a true 5 Star. Staff is/are unbelievable. 100% recommend.

I love the Florida Keys, especially Islamorada. The staff was super friendly and the service was excellent. The activities were also great. However, the hotel and rooms need some maintenance and upgrades. The elevator was not working, the bathroom could have been cleaner, and you can definitely see the wear and tear over time. Overall, we had a good experience, but with some improvements, this hotel could be much better.

We booked last minute for our 28th wedding anniversary and we chose the Cheeca Lodge and Spa based on photos and amenities. We were so happy with The Cheeca Lodge and Spa that we plan to return again. There was so much to do and not enough time. We stayed 4 days in the newly remodeled area of the Lodge. We had a bathtub on the porch that looked out to the ocean. There was golf, tennis, pickel ball and a massage that we ran out of time to enjoy. We took a boat right from the dock to Alligator Lighthouse to snorkel and float. It was amazing. I'm so glad we went. The food was delicious and the staff was so helpful and attentive. We were upgraded, so now we are a bit spoiled. We went to Pierre's Restaurant across the street twice. That was so good.
