We had a very short stay, midnight to 8am, but the room was very clean, the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was basic, didn't have decaf coffee as an option, but did offer cereal and instant oatmeal. Only drawback was that our room was on the 3rd floor and there was no elevator.

Just a very basic hotel, property was clean, rooms just average, breakfast area is super small. Lots in the area and very conveniently located. Good price overall. No elevator and have to climb stairs to the rooms.

No elevator or luggage carts. Free breakfast is waffles, cereal, or bagels. Nice but simple. Virtual desk clerk was something new for us. Room was very clean. Convenient to restaurants and shopping. Would stay here again.

Overall the stay was fine. The motel has no elevator and is three stores. We were on the second floor, fortunately there weren't that many steps to go up.

Older hotel. No elevator which was highly unusual. Had elderly mother and handicapped person with us. We didn’t request handicap room so to be fair due to last minute reservation, both mother and handicap person are both able to walk ok up stairs but when you add in carrying luggage even for normal people up 3 flights of stairs was very inconvenient with no elevator.

Upon checking out we noticed there was animal feces under a chair in the corner from a previous guest. We didn't see it the night before because the room is dimly lit. Noticed it right away after opening the curtains in the morning. Also, bathroom reeked of urine. Toilet base had crusty buildup and signs of prior leaks. Obviously they don't clean the rooms. Either staff needs fired or owner needs to go, either way this place should be shut down. Stay away! I'm cheap so i had to give it a try, it's bad, real bad!

I’ve stayed at several Super 8 locations, but this one was definitely cleaner and better maintained. The breakfast was fine, and check-in was quick as it only took 2-3 minutes. I liked that the check-in was handled by the kiosk. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean, and the place was quiet. The only downside was the TV, as it took a lot of scrolling to find the channels we wanted. Overall, it was a great experience, aside from the TV issue.

Clean and comfortable highway overnight stop. TV and Internet both worked very well. Bathroom was clean (did not shower so unsure about water pressure and temperature). It is an older building and as such looks it's age but as far as we could tell everything worked well.

Perfect for a cheap stop-over with my family. We stay here almost every time we pass through Mount Vernon. Comfy beds, clean room, good service, and great location. Breakfast is only okay, but that’s what I expect from an inexpensive stop-over hotel. Absolutely worth staying for the price.

Hotel was very nice and clean. Mattress was way too soft. Walls were thin and you could hear toilets flush all night. Hated the kiosk check in…everyone else did too. Cold and unfriendly even if the person on the screen is sincere.

Convenient location to stop for the night after a king day of traveling. Property is clearly being renovated but the rooms still smell very heavily of old smoke and are musty and damp. As someone with asthma it was hard to breathe that night, we needed up getting up at 0430 to hit the road because we couldn’t stand the smell anymore.

Your Kiosk service sucks and doesn\'t work.Poor audio coupled with foreign accents are absolutely unintelligible. I will inquire about this type of "service" in the future and only stay at hotels using in person clerks that speak english.

There was no desk clerk. Instead I was greeted by a robot--a video screen with someone overseas talking to me who knows nothing about the area and is incapable of offering any assistance. It can only take your money and give you a key. This hotel wins the race to the bottom in customer service.

Around 3 am we heard a loud knock at the door. At first we ignored it, but after repeated knocks we got up and asked the person on the other side of the door if they needed something. The very drunk man was yelling and causing, clearly confused on which room he was going to that night. We called the front desk to be told no one was on site and there was nothing they could do to help. The person on the phone asked me for my room number then promptly hung up on me. We pushed furniture in front of the door and waited until it was quiet to go back to bed. The next morning I went to talk with the front desk staff. No one was physically there. I had to check out via a kiosk. I could not understand nor hear what the man via the kiosk was saying. After a few minutes we were able to get me checked out where he was visibly annoyed that I couldn’t understand his poor technology. I attempted to tell him what happened overnight and he just said “leave your key”. I’m so glad I wasn’t alone and that I didn’t have children with me. We travel a ton. I have never felt so unsafe and ignored for a real safety issue. Will not return.

They did not have front desk personal. Had to use a kiosk that was located in the lobby. It was very difficult communicating with the person on the screen. An elderly couple came is as I was going back to my car. It looked like they attempted to use the kiosk then gave up and left. the motel was clean and convenient but I probably won't use it again - don't need the frustration after a long day of driving.

Totally hated the kiosk check in. It was late at night (3am) and i would much rather interact with a person for real than a kiosk. Breakfast was a huge disappointment, cold cereal, toast, yogurt, or a waffle. No protein.

The front desk check in was very nice. The breakfast is ok. I do not like the virtual assistant. If u can pay someone to sit behind a screen some where then pay an actual person to do the job. The guy the virtual assistant called concerning the breakfast was not very polite. He came down like he had been hiding some where and was on his phone. Barely took care of the small issue and disappeared. Go back to human interaction. I will not stay again. How do u handle a serious issue. When i ran hotels it was a very serious issue to not have someone at the front desk over night. I will choose another hotel brand in order to have the REAL customer service. I will choose another brand. To me, virtual assistant is a lazy way to handle customers.

Positives: Solid stay. Great value. Rooms next to each other. Pet friendly. Detractions: $25 pet fee not communicated via online platform (Hotels.com). No coffee with free breakfast. Broken and no solution provided by local management. Go buy hot Boxes of coffee to make it right if needed.

It was a good place to stay. Staff at night was nice. The room was clean. The breakfast was very poor. They were out of milk, oj, syrup, and did not have any donuts or rolls.

Perfect for a cheap stop-over with my family. We stay here almost every time we pass through Mount Vernon. Comfy beds, clean room, good service, and great location. Breakfast is only okay, but that’s what I expect from an inexpensive stop-over hotel. Absolutely worth staying for the price.

This hotel is better then most Super 8's of today. It was clean and convenient, great food nearby, and worth spending a few nights at a decent price. The kiosk check-in was fine, you are talking to a person who helps you who you can see on a screen, and your converstion is displayed as well. The staff was friendly, the breakfast good.

Totally hated the kiosk check in. It was late at night (3am) and i would much rather interact with a person for real than a kiosk. Breakfast was a huge disappointment, cold cereal, toast, yogurt, or a waffle. No protein.

Room was clean. Staff was courteous. Breakfast was poor- as we ready in other reviews we read before booking. They were out of juice and yogurt (a specialty for them).

The staff was friendly and helpful from beginning to end. The tub/shower, sink towels and toilet were nice and clean. The carpet was vacuumed. Desks were clean and clear. There was a phone outlet next to the bed. The AC worked well all night. The bed sheets were clean as was the mattress pad over it. There was a zippered cover over the mattress that had a lot of stains on it. The refrigerator had moisture in it and wasn’t totally clean. The rubber shower mat was stained. The bathroom floor was sticky. I finally used some tissues to clean it with water and in seconds it was fine. Breakfast is 6-9. My husband went down at 7:15 and the eggs were cold (rooms do have a microwave ). He made a waffle and had some instant oatmeal. I was not comfortable with the stained mattress cover but it didn’t bother my husband. I wished I would have had a rag to clean the floor, refrigerator and bath mat. The room could have used some touch ups in paint and other places. So if you aren’t bothered by lack of touch up and some unclean areas - the price is right and staff is great!

It was horrible the hallway rug was nasty, the rug in room was nasty and sticky, the chair was nasty and the ceiling was disgusting it looked like it was leaking and someone tried fix it it years back but it continued to leak. By the window their were 3 to four spots that had mold. We were so tired we would have left. It was bad I kept my luggage closed I didn’t know what was next and I refuse to take any bugs home especially bed bugs, And also that picture of those rooms is a dream spirt you’re going to be pist! Painted dark so you can’t see but ceiling is white don’t bring your family or yourself unless you don’t care.

Most things were fine, but we were frustrated because we could not figure out how to operate the TV. If it is that difficult to operate, the hotel should provide instructions in the room!
