The hotel parking lot is overwhelmed by restaurant patrons, leaving actual guests with no choice but to park behind the building or elsewhere. Unfortunately, the hotel hasn't taken steps to resolve the issue. Staff at the front desk acknowledged the problem but simply stated it would clear up by 11 PM. To make matters worse, there were no luggage carts available. Only book here if you're fine hauling your bags across the property.

Its very clean, and has a nice pool, and workout room. Very reasonably priced for the quality it has. I have work in Amarillo quite often and always stay here.

Be Careful here. Very insecure location. Went in and slept for 5 hours had my truck broken into and everything stolen! There is no security cameras according to the front desk. Be careful if you stay here.

Property was nice enough, but room was next to laundry and was loud. Also, a lot of guests being noisy and roaming the halls all night. I was packing my truck early in the morning to leave and some guy pulled up in a car and was begging for money. Sketchy.

Great overnight stay. My daughter enjoyed the pool, and it was nice to have it heated. The rooms were clean and renovated recently. No issues at all.

We were quite impressed with the Handicap Accessible room given us, especially the shower with multi functional spray and sturdy built in bench. When no handicap parking was available because all slots were taken, they allowed us to park in the carport. Located right next to Texas Roadhouse and a gas station, where we also had great experiences. Texas hospitality is real Yall. It was refreshing after a long day of travel.

We arrived late in the evening from traveling all day. Our room 104 was so musty and rank. It smelled like a dead wet dog. The blonde gal that checked us in was more than nice to us but no more 2queen bed rooms were available. All she could offer was a king suite. With 4 people I really needed two beds but she wasn’t allowed to comp me an extra room. Ended up at Drury Inn and Suites. It was cheaper and much nicer. I booked this through Hotels.com and the room is non refundable. The young lady at the desk gave me a confirmation # and said it would be fully refunded. We’ll see.

At check-in, the first words out of the desk clerk's mouth were, "I see you booked with a third-party app." My experience has taught me that this won't be in my favor and I'll likely be assigned a lesser quality room. Sure enough, the bathroom door handle was broken and wouldn't lock, the tub drain was mostly clogged, and the tub faucet came off in my hand.

The room was very nice, clean, and had a good amount of space. Unfortunately we had issues with noise throughout our stay. We were in a first floor room and experienced noise from the fitness room (music with heavy bass - open 24 hours), the HVAC system outside our room (a repetitive knocking sound), and the stairwell door right next to us slamming randomly throughout the night.

The room was very nice, clean, and had a good amount of space. Unfortunately we had issues with noise throughout our stay. Clean and quiet. The room heat was on though and it was 91 degrees when we got there. It cooled off with the A/C before we went to sleep though.

Pros: The location was great. Close to downtown and easy access to highway. Staff was friendly. The room was clean. Several restaurants within walking distance. Area seemed safe. Cons: the beds were very firm. The walls were thin so we could hear every door slam, the neighbors TV and people walking above us. Made it hard to sleep. The breakfast was subpar. The pancake machine was broken and they were out of a lot of things by 8:30. Overall, a good place to stay if a firm bed doesn't bother you.

Bed was hard. Pillows were hard. Walls are thin. Could hear everyone coming and going. Could hear dogs barking from other rooms. Freeway noise was terrible too. Not a great experience. Couldn’t sleep. Finally asleep at 2:30 am. Breakfast was okay. Proximity to dining options was great.

The management at this hotel doesn’t care about their guests at all. Our booking was made right at midnight so Expedia’s software booked it for the date after midnight, which was the next night. The management at the hotel said they had rooms for the night we needed, but didn’t want to accommodate us and wanted us to make another booking without refunding the first booking. Completely selfish, don’t trust them with your money.

The employee tending the front desk walked out, made eye contact with my wife and son with all their luggage, put her sign up that said “if nobody is present at the front desk, please wait a moment. We’ll be with you very shortly.” Then without saying a word, she just disappeared into the back. We waited a moment (kind of in shock). I knocked on the front desk. I called back to the back “hello?” Another woman was waiting with us and we were thinking…it is way too late at night for this garbage…your break can wait or whatever we’re waiting on. Finally, i called the front desk from my cell phone and let it ring until she surfaced to answer it. She came out and i hung up…i probably should have put it on speaker phone so she would know it was me that called. At any rate, she checked us in with no further eye contact or apology for the wait or anything. I’ve waited 20 years to have a bad experience at a holiday inn express. Congrats…this was the first.

The stay was good. My mother and I really enjoyed it. Will stay here again. The breakfast was very good and the hours breakfast was avaliable was very good too. Jocelyn at the front desk was very nice!!!!!

I had a great experience at this property! Upon arriving, the parking lot was pretty full and it was late at night. There was a lady named Kara, who was working the front desk. She understood I was worried about my car as we were transporting all of our personal items from one state to another. She moved her personal car so that I could park in front of the hotel so that the cameras could keep an eye on my car I can’t tell you what this did for me. Personally, I was exhausted after 14 Hour drive and was mentally done with her simple acts of kindness, she made it all better. We also have two pups with us and she was so sweet and accommodating to them. She told me some personal stories with her own rescue pups. This woman is a gem and makes this hotel 1000% better. If you’re coming to Amarillo, this is a place to stay. It was clean, convenient and walking distance to some great restaurants. But the staff, especially Kara gives that human touch that most hotels don’t!

I had a great experience at this property! Upon arriving, the parking lot was pretty full and it was late at night. There was a lady named Kara, who was working the front desk. She understood I was worried about my car as we were transporting all of our personal items from one state to another. She moved her personal car so that I could park in front of the hotel so that the cameras could keep an eye on my car I can’t tell you what this did for me. Manager called me day of reservation to confirm room. I arrived on property to discover my room had been given to someone else. I was informed they tried to call me but had the wrong number. I told them the manager just called me earlier that day... and left a voice message that i let them see. How could they have the wrong number? They said , "sorry for the mixup, we cant help you." The man working the front desk was very rude and i just left.

The hotel was clean, the location convenient to restaurants, and breakfast was top notch. The desk staff were very nice and professional. Would stay there again if in Amarillo.

We chose this property because it was only a few minutes off our route. It was super easy to find based off the map location which was great since it was dark outside already. The hotel was very close to getting coffee, and a bite to eat, all within 3 minutes of driving. Super convenient for quick stays. Hotel was very clean throughout!

Great location just off of Georgia St. walking distance to several restaurants. We were passing through Amarillo on a cross country trip and stopped for the night. I’d stay here again.

Property was nice enough, but room was next to laundry and was loud. Also, a lot of guests being noisy and roaming the halls all night. I was packing my truck early in the morning to leave and some guy pulled up in a car and was begging for money. Sketchy.

Pros: The location was great. Close to downtown and easy access to highway. Staff was friendly. The room was clean. Several restaurants within walking distance. Area seemed safe. Cons: the beds were very firm. The walls were thin so we could hear every door slam, the neighbors TV and people walking above us. Made it hard to sleep. The breakfast was subpar. The pancake machine was broken and they were out of a lot of things by 8:30. Overall, a good place to stay if a firm bed doesn't bother you.

Parking is a bit limited so arrive early. Breakfast was better than their counterparts. Shower is not a walk in. (In a tub). Larger than average room size.

The property was alright. The real irritation I had was with how staff handled a stray dog coming into the hotel. It came in during breakfast and they just let it wander into the kitchen. People have dogs and kids down there trying to have breakfast before hitting the road. They tried to lure it out with food. Finally I had to grab it and put it outside. I thought that might prompt staffed actually handle the situation. I was wrong. The dog wandered back in and so finally I grabbed the dog and put it in the single toilet men’s bathroom on the first floor. And then staff had to be prompted to call animal control to come get the dog.

We love this little hotel-we love the area, but this trip tho the hotel was not full at all it seemed a bit careworn. The towels are dinky and frayed, the dispensers in the bathroom squirt everywhere. We were tired this trip but it just felt a little 'in fresh'.

We were very pleased with the room. Very quiet, comfortable, clean, nice bed, great coffee and amenities... continental breakfast was good as well L. We will definitely stay stay again. Quality was Better than many 5☆ Hotels we've stayed at.
