Adequate simple motel with normal amenities. Free parking and coffeemaker and fridge in room. When I made the reservations, I noted they had a heated pool. When I got there the pool was not in service. When I said something about this, he said it is on their website. When I booked, there was no mention of this plus when I checked on their website, it says Our hot tub is closed until further notice. We thank you for your understanding. No mention of the pool.

Hot tub was green with alge growth. Pool wasn’t much better. Room was in need of more than cleaning would provide with mold growth in the bathroom. Breakfast was the best part of this place. Would not prepay a stay here without seeing it first. We stayed elsewhere on the way back.

When I arrive at the room as soon as the door was open there was an overwhelming smell of some type of bug spray. Some of my clothing absorbed the scent and it lingered throughout the two night stay. Reception was adequate and breakfast could have some improvement. It is convenient first walking through kanab and has a well lighted parking lot. Overall ok for a one or two night stay. Needs upgrading. Pool was not clean and hot tub was being repaired. Did have small microwave and fridge.

This motel needs a lot of work. The first issue was the door locks. No key would unlock the door. They moved us to another room with only one key. The owner told me one key was enough for my wife and I. I watched several people on the same floor struggle getting into their rooms as well. The lock on the access door closest to our room did not work. Anybody could have walked right in the building. Weeds and tall grass were everywhere. The building needed painted both inside and out. The refrigerator in our room quit working. No hot water on our last day. The bathroom vent cover was held on with scotch tape and hit the fan blade when in use. Building in poor condition and the owner had a poor attitude.

I thought there was a level of suitability before Days Inn & Suites would allow anyone to use their name. This place fails in every category. I call it false advertising on Expedia. Don’t be “catfished” by the pictures. It is run by first and second generation foreigners (who don’t use deodorant, and some that don’t speak English). Ironically ….. the parking fills up 3/4’s each of the 3 nights we were there. Yes, it’s affordable. The dog hair in the hallway and in my room got wrapped around the wheel axles of my roller Igloo. Cookies crumbs on the room carpet. Toilet that someone tried to unclog with a metal plumbing snake & scarred / marked up the porcelain bowl badly. Ants ….. ants in the bathroom floor, ants on the bathroom vanity. The mattress had two divits the length of bodies. One of the couch cushions was turned around, zipper side out, for some reason I didn’t check. The curtains catch all the a/c air. The ice maker in our building stayed broke, the ice maker in the adjacent building worked but the exterior door broke & was tied shut from the inside by an electrical extension cord. There’s more but here’s the gist of it. It’s old and rundown and unkept. Oh and the swimming pool is empty & needs repairs.

Horrific. Our sink was leaking and made the carpet all wet, it smelled awful, the remote was taped together, the hot tub was drained, the main area carpets were extremely dirty, there was mold in the tub, and the ac didn’t work.

Filthy. Whiskers on the bathroom counter. Hair all over bathroom floor and shower. I had to buy my own wipes and clean all flat surfaces myself. Everything covered in layers of dirt and dust. Carpet had not been vacuumed. Mirrors and faucets were splattered with someone else’s toothpaste mess.

I was not expecting much but black mold on the walls and poorly vacuumed carpets was a bit much. This listing also says there is a "seasonal" pool but based on the state of the pool I would say it has not been in use for many years. Pretty gross place to crash. At least when we got a room whose door did not lock properly they relocated us to another.

The staff member that greeted us was really lovely and helpful. There were some concerns with cleanliness and I do not believe the sheets were changed prior to us arriving, and when asking for new sheets, the wrong size was provided, and they had stains on them. The owners may want to consider investing in new, CLEAN sheets, and new pillows that haven’t been so heavily used, as well as perhaps a thicker blanket. The location is great, central to Grand Canyon (north rim), Zion NP and Bryce Canyon NP.

Spend a little more and stay someplace else in Kanab. Thank goodness I only needed to stay one night. Walking in from a side entrance the carpet looked as if it not been vacuumed since WW II. Dirty towel lying in the hallway, black hairs on the towels and sheets, mismatched paint on the walls, loose, faulty shower fixture, cracked, broken caulking around the bathtub, yellowing, faded sheets (white?), no one at the front desk in the morning and a rather unfriendly greeting upon check-in. On a positive note, there is a Best Friends Roadhouse and Mercantile store across the street. Drop into the store and support a great cause.

The person at the desk was very rude and dismissive since the moment we arrived. When we got to our room it was very obvious that the room had not been cleaned. The toilet was filthy, there was stains on the floor, in and around the toilet, and a lot of hair as well. 1 of the beds had an extremely stained bedsheet (it was very gross), there was hair all on the sheets and pillows, and a dirty used qtip on the floor next to the bed. The second bed was less dirty, some hair and stains on the pillow cases, and 1 pillow without even a pillow case. Lastly the fridge was filthy, it definitely wasn’t cleaned for some time. We wanted to complain but the staff had already been rude and we had activities booked so we were on a tight schedule and didn’t have time to deal with this nonsense. Luckily we travel with Clorox wipes and we wiped as much down as possible. Also, we eat had a bed sheet in case we ran into trouble so we stripped the beds and just used our 1 sheet each. It was the least clean place we’ve ever stayed in. So concerning that they have no level of cleanliness. I took a lot of photos upon check in as proof of how terrible this room was. It’s not worth the price or hassle.

We had an overall decent stay at this property. The Good: ✅ The Price: Weekday rates were quite reasonable. However, I personally wouldn’t find it worth paying $150+ per night. ✅ The Breakfast: A good variety of options including a waffle maker 🧇 with 🍁syrup, juice 🥤, bread 🍞 with jam and butter 🧈, ham, eggs, and coffee. It’s a satisfying breakfast to start your day, and the 6:00 AM start time is definitely a plus for early travelers. The (Not So) Bad: ⚠️ Microwave: The in-room microwave seemed outdated, possibly from the 1960s, and we struggled to heat food properly, taking about 5 minutes to barely warm a meal. ⚠️ Bathroom: While generally clean, the toilet bowl had visible stains likely due to long-term use, which was a bit disappointing. ⚠️ Air Conditioning: The room had an AC unit, but it wasn’t very effective at cooling. This could be uncomfortable if visiting in the hotter months of June, July, or August. In summary, it was a decent experience, and I would consider staying here again if I can secure a similar price.

First room was under construction. Second room was very dirty but at that point I wasn’t going to ask for a third. Used towels, spider in the bed, black hair all over the bathroom floor, etc. It’s the cheapest for a reason, expect it to be subpar. It was a big room and had a little kitchenette which was handy.

We stayed there for three nights and no one came to clean the room. Desk clerk promised to do the cleaning twice but no one show up. Upon check out the clerk promised to call back to give discount , did not happen. Finally able to reach manager over the phone, he was rude and flatly denied daily cleaning, saying "this is you deserved, no cleaning!!!!"

Staff was friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was satisfactory. First room we received had an unknown water leak from the sink right as you walk in the door, so the floor was sopping wet and it smelled like mildew in the room and hallway. Staff provided us with another room immediately. This one had a few ants crawling on the counter and was dirty under the beds but we figured asking for a different room wasn't going to change anything. There was also a hole in the wall behind the door from the door handle being smashed through the wall from the lack of door stops. I noticed another guest comment about the same hole in their room. Beds were hard but were better than sleeping on carpeted floor. Bathroom had black spots above shower. Overall, you kinda get what you pay for.

The stay was good. The new owners had a couple of known issues, like the door cards weren't working. But they had staff members walking with you to your room to personally let you in. Regardless of this they accommodated several short notice bookings at a very low rate. I was happy with my stay.

I want to mention that the guy who was working at night front desk this past weekend made my stay bad. He ended up checking someone else into my room, they attempted to open my room when they realized what happened. The front desk guy came to my room and tried to open it as well i had the door lock on fortunately. This was at 9pm and i had just fallen asleep after a long day. He then knocked on my door demanding me my key to the room. I was confused since i was just woken up and i tried asking why he wanted it and he wouldnt tell me why. He was just demanding me my key card. After he realized he did book me in that room he gave me my key back and didnt even apologize.

The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful, and the room was spacious with a sliding patios door onto the pool and hot tub area. Plenty of parking, cute little town, and I felt safe there as a woman traveling alone. Would stay there again.

For the most part, this was a good place to stay. The room was spacious and there was adequate parking. The room was clean and there were adequate towels, etc. The place was quiet and the bed surprisingly comfortable. The problem was the Inn has three buildings and coming from the north it was hard to find the lobby. That problem was quickly solved, however. Overall, this property is a good deal for the budget traveler.

Probably the best cheap motel you’ll ever find. It’s an easy walk into the cool little town of Kanab. Lots of restaurants and shops nearby. The motel rooms are nothing special but are fine for the price.

We had an overall decent stay at this property. The Good: ✅ The Price: Weekday rates were quite reasonable. However, I personally wouldn’t find it worth paying $150+ per night. ✅ The Breakfast: A good variety of options including a waffle maker 🧇 with 🍁syrup, juice 🥤, bread 🍞 with jam and butter 🧈, ham, eggs, and coffee. It’s a satisfying breakfast to start your day, and the 6:00 AM start time is definitely a plus for early travelers. The (Not So) Bad: ⚠️ Microwave: The in-room microwave seemed outdated, possibly from the 1960s, and we struggled to heat food properly, taking about 5 minutes to barely warm a meal. ⚠️ Bathroom: While generally clean, the toilet bowl had visible stains likely due to long-term use, which was a bit disappointing. ⚠️ Air Conditioning: The room had an AC unit, but it wasn’t very effective at cooling. This could be uncomfortable if visiting in the hotter months of June, July, or August. In summary, it was a decent experience, and I would consider staying here again if I can secure a similar price.

The only bad thing I have to say about this place was the lack of protein for breakfast. I have to eat gluten-free, and for me, that has morphed into just eating protein for breakfast--eggs, sausage, yogurt, etc. Lots of hotel breakfasts have these options. Days Inn in Kanab does not. Just wheat-based carbs--waffles, muffins, toast, raisin bran, that sort of thing. I did take an apple with me and went to get breakfast elsewhere. On the plus side, though, this did force me to discover the amazing breakfast bowls at Maverik (there's one a little further south on the 89). But the staff was awesome. I realize they don't get a lot of customers, especially ones that show up at midnight. So they had our keys already packaged up in an envelope with a label, waiting for us at the front desk. Granted, it's not a very secure check-in process. Any wandering homeless person could have walked in and scored themselves a room, for a few hours maybe. But also, I left a special neck-support pillow there after heading down to Phoenix. A few days later I came back and asked for it, and they were able to find it and bring it back to me. Very much appreciated. Thank you!

When we made the reservation once things that weighed was that this property is backed up by Windham, that was our biggest mistake. The property lacks of love, the owners don't invest a penny in there. When we arrived we signed a paper acknowledging it is prohibited to smoke in the room, but it looks not too many people respects the rule, we don't like to complain then we went to the local grocery store and got essences to hide the bag smell of the room. The breakfast was normal, like everywhere else. The pool can have a hand, is clean but it needs to take care of. The Jacuzzi.... It's the first time we get in a Jacuzzi that is freezing cold, maybe nobody uses it then probably they don't waste money in gas, but the motors were on and functional. If the owners take care of this property, it could be a great place to stay.
