My wife booked this for me for a two night stay on my way home from Quartzite. She likes to book quirky little place, and this was for sure that. Super easy check, clean, walking distance to everything, and I really liked that there was parking big enough for my truck and cargo trailer. This is an older motel, so of course it has it's little foibles, but I really like that it's not cookie cutter.

Heaven at the end of a very long day. From our oversized parking to our late check in everything was perfect! The check-in via text was new to us but when getting in at midnight it was perfect to have everything done in advance. Then the room... yes its "Basic" but with its upgraded pillows, upgraded bedding, plenty of linens. Actually coffee in the room, (Super 8 in CA is removing coffee pots from their rooms!) an apartment sized fridge and large screen tv we felt like we were at a 5 star resort The room is spotless, the owner was very friendly on the phone. I will come back to this hotel based on the pillows on their own! Dont pass up this Gem because its off the beaten path its well worth it!

My favorite part is parking right in front of my room, unloading my things into the room, having a code to get into my room, and I really like the ambience of the TV being on the screensaver.

FABULOUS GEM! This place is super cool and a nice updated take on the “Route 66 roadside motel”. I arrived after riding a motorcycle across the state and the self check in was AMAZING. Room was super dooper clean. Mattress and pillows were comfy…I slept like a baby. The Roku TV was a nice touch. Great Mexican restaurant across the street.

Clean room and comfortable beds. Renovations not complete but looks like they are getting there. A little trouble getting our check in info, owner was finally reached and apologized saying his phone had died. We were able to get in and had a restful nights sleep!

The Grand Central is nothing fancy, but it is truly clean and comfortable. One of those last little motels that you can stay in that is safe clean and inexpensive. Loved it.

The owner was nice and responded quickly. Clean room. Every room had roku so you can binge watch on Netflix and also had a microwave and fridge which i liked! Definitely recommend!

We stayed @ Grand Central for 2 nights it’s a clean room no smells or bugs & quiet place with a friendly neighborhood . My husband Robert enjoyed staying specially me the wife 😇 I love to watch outside peacefull with a beautiful view beautiful small town so relaxing . We don’t mind to recommend this Motel to our friends .

The room & bed were very comfortable. Good mattress & remodeled room. The shower was nice too. I also loved that I had access to Disney + included. So cool. Very happy with this place & great deal too!

Cheap and quirky small town motel, you get what you pay for (in a good way). I crashed here for a night on a road trip. Quiet spot, contactless check in, payment, check out etc. means you don't even have to speak to another human during your stay (unless you want to, of course), which was new to me but a pleasant experience. Would def stay here again if I'm ever back on Hwy 50.

We chose The Grand Central Hotel understanding it was under new management, operated by a young family. It is a charming hotel, not new, but cute and peaceful. One of the managers, Ian, was quick to answer my questions and extremely helpful prior to our arrival. It's a smaller size room we rented, one bed, it was very comfortable. It's a pet friendly hotel, no extra charge, perfect for our 17lb dog. It's not a fancy hotel, but you can tell the owners take pride in the upgrades they've made with more to come. Check in was super easy. The Mexican restaurant, Rivas, is located directly across the street and was very good. They had outside tables, so you can take your pet. We will be sure to stay at The Grand Central Hotel next we come to Ely. It was great for an overnight getaway from St George, Utah.

They are great people. My reservation was booked even though they were full… software glitch ouch..! Ian booked me a room at another hotel at no charge.! Wow Just finding me another room for the same price would have been great…. But they went the extra 10 mile .!! Thanks a million..! Such customer service is super ..! Thanks

Cheerful, clean, and a comfortable bed. A real coffee pot in the room and the fridge had a freezer section. The "virtual desk clerk " thing meant no one was on site to straighten out the tv, though the manager (?) walked me through it by phone. And he came over and fixed a plumbing problem right away.

Room was just right for our needs. Centrally located in Ely with plenty of places to eat (Hometown Pizza makes a mighty mean pie), casinos, and shopping nearby. Although we required little room service other than clean towels the third day, it was always available should we have wanted it. Motel is being further renovated. Highly recommend.

Love the price for a convenient and quick stop-over. Easy to find. Room access was easy. No need to check-in. Bed was clean, room was overall clean but that carpet ... yikes!! Pets are allowed, however there is no place for dogs to go potty. I had to wander the sketchy neighborhood to find a suitable place.

Room was just right for our needs. Centrally located in Ely with plenty of places to eat (Hometown Pizza makes a mighty mean pie), casinos, and shopping nearby. Although we required little room service other than clean towels the third day, it was always available should we have wanted it. Motel is being further renovated. Highly recommend.

We chose The Grand Central Hotel understanding it was under new management, operated by a young family. It is a charming hotel, not new, but cute and peaceful. One of the managers, Ian, was quick to answer my questions and extremely helpful prior to our arrival. It's a smaller size room we rented, one bed, it was very comfortable. It's a pet friendly hotel, no extra charge, perfect for our 17lb dog. It's not a fancy hotel, but you can tell the owners take pride in the upgrades they've made with more to come. Check in was super easy. The Mexican restaurant, Rivas, is located directly across the street and was very good. They had outside tables, so you can take your pet. We will be sure to stay at The Grand Central Hotel next we come to Ely. It was great for an overnight getaway from St George, Utah.

FABULOUS GEM! This place is super cool and a nice updated take on the “Route 66 roadside motel”. I arrived after riding a motorcycle across the state and the self check in was AMAZING. Room was super dooper clean. Mattress and pillows were comfy…I slept like a baby. The Roku TV was a nice touch. Great Mexican restaurant across the street.

Heaven at the end of a very long day. From our oversized parking to our late check in everything was perfect! The check-in via text was new to us but when getting in at midnight it was perfect to have everything done in advance. Then the room... yes its "Basic" but with its upgraded pillows, upgraded bedding, plenty of linens. Actually coffee in the room, (Super 8 in CA is removing coffee pots from their rooms!) an apartment sized fridge and large screen tv we felt like we were at a 5 star resort The room is spotless, the owner was very friendly on the phone. I will come back to this hotel based on the pillows on their own! Dont pass up this Gem because its off the beaten path its well worth it!

Cheerful, clean, and a comfortable bed. A real coffee pot in the room and the fridge had a freezer section. The "virtual desk clerk " thing meant no one was on site to straighten out the tv, though the manager (?) walked me through it by phone. And he came over and fixed a plumbing problem right away.

Great little place. Cozy and clean. If you like your room cold (like I do) bring a fan with you. Check in was super easy and the staff was great!

Worst experience ever! Room was not cleaned nor was the other room we were given we left and will never stay there we left and got another hotel for our stay

It was a very basic room, but it was nice and clean the TV had apps a nice refrigerator. I’d stay there again.

It's old and hasn't been well maintained. Bath fan didn't work. Opened bath window but no screen so flies came in. No A/C. Cold air did blow through a high vent when it was snowing outside with no control to turn it off. Ice machine broken. Carpet needs replacing. No on site manager. Text to check in. They didn't like me being there 20 minutes before 3pm check in time even though room was ready. No daily maid service offered. I recommend somewhere else.
