Our room was clean and comfortable, the location was great and pay parking lot behind hotel was convenient but a bit expensive. The area has many local attractions within walking distance, and areas to swim. As well as coffee, restaurants and bars. The bar at the hotel was a nice amenity, we enjoyed sitting outside in the evenings. Two things that we missed in our room was having an iron in the room, and access to ice.

Classic Austro-Hungarian style hotel, great location. Only downside is the view on the very ugly roof of the hotel next door (Hotel Paris). The staff are somewhat stiff, and they raised prices of parking and pets without mentioning that on Expedia. That's a minus. Otherwise we had a nice time because there are many great food/drink locations around and Opatija is just awesome!

Bristol is in a good location. Easy walk to the beach, shops and restaurants. The room was comfortable and wifi excellent. The included breakfast, while not exciting, has variety (cereal, hot dishes, cold cheese/ham, fruit, cakes) and is frequently replenished. Parking was an issue. The description of the Bristol on the hotels.com site states “Uncovered on-site self-parking (EUR 20 per day)”. As other travellers have experienced, we were told on arrival that no parking via the hotel was available and that we would have to find a spot on the street at a likely cost of 25 euro per day. Luckily, we found a spot on the road above the hotel (Ul. Drage Gervaisa) where we could park for 24 hours for 17 euro. Note that the parking meter does not accept credit cards and doesn’t give change so you need the exact money in notes/coins.

Nice stay very clean hotel and the staff was great. I would have been 5 stars but our room was on the 1st floor above the ceiling speakers for the lobby music and dinning room that finally stoped at 4:30 am. Started again at 6:30. I’m sure someone just screwed up but it sounded like a muted party going on down stairs all night. More pillows would also be nice

This is a nice hotel, well located for a stroll along the seafront and nearby restaurants. The hotel is rather dated but not in a dire way, adding character to its rooms and nice balconies. The lift can be crammed in the morning so this is worth planning for as you exit, particularly as we did with a large tourist group trying to exit at the same time.

The staff at the reception desk was very friendly and helpful. But there were hardly any teaspoons available (the receptionist told us that tourists just steal them) and the scrambles eggs, the bacon and the coffee were only lukewarm.

It really bothered me that the clerk who checked me in had been dishonest when telling me both rooms were the same. Clearly they were NOT! You could tell that she knew she'd been caught in her lie. Someone else helped me change the 2nd night's booking so I'd have the appropriate room. If booking for this hotel, you may want to ensure you're not facing the construction site as it's an eye sore plus it could be noisy. Buffet breakfast was mediocre compared to the other buffet breakfast we had in other hotels in Croatia. Temperature of eggs was cold or luke warm cheese/meat wasn't very good, presentation of food was poor. Overall, hotel was clean and good location but nothing to rave about.

Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Schon beim Check-in wurden wir freundlich empfangen und der Rezeptionist bemühte sich uns auf Deusch Auskunft zu geben. This is a nice hotel, well located for a stroll along the seafront and nearby restaurants. The hotel is rather dated but not in a dire way, adding character to its rooms and nice balconies. The lift can be crammed in the morning so this is worth planning for as you exit, particularly as we did with a large tourist group trying to exit at the same time.

The included breakfast, while not exciting, has variety (cereal, hot dishes, cold cheese/ham, fruit, cakes) and is frequently replenished. Parking was an issue. Luckily, we found a spot on the road above the hotel (Ul. Drage Gervaisa) where we could park for 24 hours for 17 euro. The rugs were filthy. We were given a room on the second floor and we could hear a band playing. The breakfast wasn't appealing. The coffee didn't taste like coffee and the water came from a machine that dispensed dirty water. I had an allergy reaction in the dining room from what I believe was mold from the air conditioner because in the lobby the air conditioner was full of mold. Also, the shower head in the shower was broken.

I would NOT recommend this hotel, mainly because of the staff. The room was clean, and we had a corner room with a balcony, which was really nice! We received this room because when we got there, we had paid, in advance, for a room with a balcony, and then the front reception told us we did not have a room with a balcony after I asked. I showed him my receipt, and then after several minutes, we got this room. The girl that was working with him gave us our room key, and then realize she didn't change it to the new room. I called the reception to ask about Roko, a nearby restaurant, and he said it was good, and that I could call and make a reservation. Huh??? I asked if he could do it, and he said, OK. He told me there was no availability, but when we walked by the restaurant, they said we could come in. I sent THREE messages through Expedia "message the property" portal, on June 8, 9, and 26, and no one answered any of them. It was regarding parking, and when we got there, there was confusion about the parking because no one replied. The building looked like it was in disrepair. I used the bathroom right next to the reception and the woodwork was chipped and in need of repair. Honestly, the star at checkout were nice. The day of checkin, it seemed like amateur hour. They were not very service oriented, not smiling or overly helpful, and seemed disinterested. Nice room, so-so lobby, so-so breakfast, hit or miss staff. There are better options!
