Very clean and comfortable. Received a very warm welcome from Jill and Jim. Used as a base for a cycling exploration of the area. Lots of varied routes both on the coast and inland. A multitude of quite country lanes and peaceful villages. Ventured as far as Grizedale and Windermere. Lots of advice and information from the owners who are cyclists too. I did 200 miles in 5 days and only scratched the surface of possibilities. This is top notch accommodation and I will be back again for more.

Lovely experience from start to finish. Julie and Jim were very welcoming on arrival. The lodge is well taken care of and has everything you need for a stay away from home. It’s a great base to relax and/or explore.

Just what we both needed. The wooden veranda caught the sun perfectly all day, Retiring in the evening to a cosy clean interior. Close to Morecambe and Kendal. With Carnforth a 10 minute drive for your necessities shopping. The owners were friendly, it was hard to stop chatting and depart. All in all a delightful experience.

The property was exactly as described with the quality of furnishings, fixtures and fittings all to an extremely high standard. The location and situation of the lodge allows you to make the most of any sunshine at all times of the day and the quiet well maintained complex is a pleasure to visit. Julie & Jim were excellent hosts and made sure we were soon settled into the lodge with the minimum of fuss. Nothing was to much trouble and it was a pleasure to meet them. The complex is located within easy reach of public transport allowing the car to be "left at home" if need be. Would certainly visit the accommodation again and can certainly understand why it is so popular. A big thanks to Julie & Jim.
