The location is very convenient to Yosemite and the lakes. The view of Mono Lake across the highway is truly wonderful in the late afternoon/evening. The October Super Moon over the lake was spectacular. The updates to this vintage motel are fine, the shower works well, and it is very well maintained and clean. Check in was fine though I never saw a human being. It is, however, the noisiest place I have ever experienced. The noise from the cars zooming by on US 395 sounds like jet planes taking off. There are earplugs on the nightstand next to the bed which is always a bad sign.

This property has a lot to offer despite its outside appearance and some oddities with check in. There is no onsite office. Our room key was on a clip board in an envelope with our name on it tagged to the side of the building with other folks in the same location. The room however was very clean and looks like it had a recent make over. It had a nice counter area with a refrigerator and microwave. It was in a quiet location within easy walking of the local shops and the Mono Lake Association. The area was quiet and felt safe. There are no amenities that I am aware of but given other options in the area this one worked for us. My partner did not love the TV choices and was a bit frustrated by the lack of channels.

The motel overall was a nice place to stay. It was very clean and has been renovated. The road noise was significant especially since our windows needed to remain open since there was no air conditioning. Our stay was in the middle of July and our room was upwards of 80 degrees when we arrived and very stuffy. It only got worse after showering as there was no bathroom fan. I am 8 months pregnant and we had our one year old with us. After being in the park all day, we were looking forward to a comfortable evening to relax and were surprised to find no air conditioning. It felt much better outside than it did in our room.

Spacious rooms. Clean, well maintained and good room amenities. Really nice drip coffee maker in room. Dislikes: Next to a noisy busy road with trucks all night. Amazing coffee machine but the cheap plastic cups provided can melt if you put hot drink in them.

The property is very small; seven rooms and six parking spots. It worked out for me because I was always able to find a spot to park. The room is spacious and so is the bathroom. The refrigerator worked great. And there was housekeeping service daily, which I did not expect since Covid and most properties no longer do that daily service. Downside: it would have been nice to know ahead of time that none of the rooms have air conditioning. There was a ceiling fan above the bed and a desk fan on the desk, but it's 2025 and I didn't realize there were still motel properties without AC. Leaving your window open all night means you'll listen to the semi trucks roaring through town all night long.

Older motel but well maintained. Comfortable room with microwave, mini fridge, and coffee maker. Earplugs were also provided because the motel is right on the highway. All the arrangements were made electronically so I never made human contact with anyone, but everything went well and we had no issues (there was a way to contact someone if needed). The only shortcoming for this location is parking; we ended up parking in front in what ordinarily would have been the place to park while checking in; it turns out that is a parking space now.

Motel was acceptable but a bit expensive for the lack of amenities. Looks updated. Bed was comfortable. Bit odd with the wall heater not working but there was a portable A/C heater unit. Cute touches in room.

Room was clean. Bed comfortable. If you stay here, two things: (1) Ask for room #7 or #8 if traffic noise bothers you. (2) Motek is NOT air conditioned. We stayed onwme night. Outside was in 90's at check ib. A room fan is only cooling option. Fortunately since Lee Vining is in mountains, ambient temp dropped quickly after sunset (into high 50's). Still, room windows had to stay open. This motel is like what America considered normal in the 1950s. Staff were friendly .

The property is fine if you are looking a quick overnight stay on 395 next to Yosemite park exit. The pictures show common areas and coffee and other amenities which is truly not available. The room was not air conditioned and also did not have a ceiling fan; the provided tower fan didn’t serve the purpose on a hot summer night.

No A/C! It was super hot when we stayed end of May. Also no hot water in the morning shower. Microwave didn’t work either. It’s a pretty well maintained older property on highway 395 so road noise could be an issue if light sleeper.

This is a modest little motel, still being remodeled. It's right on 395 so lots of trucks coming by early in the morning. The room was fine and the bathroom good. The cleaning products they use have a very strong smell and lingered throughout the night. Glad it was clean but the smell gave me a headache. If you want cheap and don't mind traffic and cleaning products, it's a fine place to stay.

This hotel was super clean and cute. (Thank you Maria.) The beds were comfortable. The sink is not in the bathroom which is a little uncomfortable with brushing your teeth with friends. The worst thing about our stay was no heat!!! And it was down in the 40's with rain. We froze. The pilot light had not been lit yet we guessed. And being right on the highway it is super loud with traffic. They do have ear plugs if needed. I am sure the few hotels on that highway are like that.

The room was WONDERFUL! Nice large room with comfortable beds. Parking was the only downside. We had to park on the street, but it was still close to the room. You can hear the truck noise but it wasn't bad. Would definitely stay there again.

We stayed in a king comfort room and it was beautifully remodeled and very spacious. However, the mattress was extra firm which may be a bit hard for some travelers as it was for us. There was also a very heavy scent of fragranced fabric softener in the bedding which caused some difficulties with our allergies and asthma. We would recommend that management avoid the use of scented laundry detergent/fabric softener, and consider installing blackout curtains, as the light outside the window comes through the blinds and lights the entire room all night. With a couple of adjustments, this hotel has the potential to be a lovely stay at this price point.

Newly renovated. Still needed the door to be redone so it wouldn’t drag on the new carpet and fit well in the frame. Nice beds and shower. It was quieter than expected as it is on the highway. No noise from other rooms

You know I really want to give this Motel a better rating. It was quaint, clean, room had everything we needed, My only issue was the bed was really REALLY FIRM! If you love super firm you will love this place. There’s no staff or check in. Your key is at the entrance to the property on a bulletin board with your name on it in an envelope with your receipt and everything you need to know. I just could get a good nights sleep because the bed was so firm. So, I personally have to give it the rating I did, but with a detailed explanation so you know it’s not because of a problem, just my preference. Thanks!

My room's door was 6 inches from the public sidewalk, adjacent to a busy highway, and it did not even close properly. No air-conditioning, no front desk (place is owned by the same people as another motel down the street, so you have to go there for help, which they are unwilling to give). They just put your key on a outdoor wall with your name on it; thatls check in. Not safe!! Don't stay here!!

The staff let us check in early and that was a godsend! Really nice people, effective, quick and so pleasant. We have tried two other places in Lee Vining and were frankly disappointed by both. This place has been renovated and is clean and well kept. It's not a place that has tried to make new with old stuff like we often see. It was a complete overhaul. So it feels good.

The property has a total of 7 rooms. No one was there to greet us. An envelope with our last name was on the bulletin board with instructions and our key. There was a phone number in case we had any questions. The room was really nice (especially the bathroom). The whole experience was interesting!

The property was actually good, but my low rating is because we have been overcharged. If it was rectified without me having to continually hound them, i would not have given such a poor rating, but it is now 2 weeks later, and im still waiting for a correct refund! We have had our visa charged 3 times for a 1 night stay, and they have refunded us for 1 night. Simple maths - they need to refund us for 1 more night. Their response is that they have refunded us. Yes you have - for ONE night. PLEASE REFUND US FOR ONE MORE NIGHT!!! This property was not worth us paying 2 nights charge for one night 😞 and they've tarnished the rest of my holiday by me having to continually chase this mistake up. Like i said, if they rectified the problem quickly, it would not have been a problem, but at this stage, I've written numerous times and have now got expedia investigating and am looking at who i should report it to next....so it definitely was not worth staying here for the ongoing problems i am experiencing

The room was clean, and had a comfortable bed. This room was a great deal among more pricey options. If you are visiting Yosemite, you won't be in the room much anyway, so all you need is cleanliness and safety. There was a noisy neighbor, and I had to wait until morning to have staff talk to him.Service is not immediate, so if there is a problem in the middle of the night, it's going to have to wait until morning.

The location is very convenient to Yosemite and the lakes. The view of Mono Lake across the highway is truly wonderful in the late afternoon/evening. The October Super Moon over the lake was spectacular. The updates to this vintage motel are fine, the shower works well, and it is very well maintained and clean. Check in was fine though I never saw a human being. It is, however, the noisiest place I have ever experienced. The noise from the cars zooming by on US 395 sounds like jet planes taking off. There are earplugs on the nightstand next to the bed which is always a bad sign.

Its close to Yosemite National park. Town is very walkable and has gift shops also. I like the A/C was already on to keep the room cool when I arrived. I liked the TV channel options. refrig and microwave were very convenient for my breakfast.

Great stay! Located conveniently outside Yosemite. Room was very comfortable and was all we needed for our short stay. Nice restaurants in the area. Rooms are located right by the road so there will be a bit of road noise at night. Only real complaint was the shower had no hot water. Other than that it was a good place to stay for the night.

This is a small motel right off 395 in Lee Vining. The rooms were recently redone. It is not fancey but very clean, warm and convenient. I appreciated the small coffee maker so I could make more than just one cup before I left in the morning. And the fridge had a small freezer so I could refreeze my ice packs. I would stay there again.

Great room. Didn’t have high expectations with it being a hotel in a very small, isolated town but this far exceeded my expectations. The room was very clean, cozy, and in a great spot right next to a cute cafe. Definitely recommend staying here!

I booked two rooms online at same price, when I check in, the office lady told me one is family room, that one is bigger with kitchen, then she upgraded the other regular room to a larger room for us without charge, appreciate alot to her, my friends and I had a pleasant stay. We cooked dinner as it was raining hardly outside, and we had yummy breakfast at a caffee next door, room is clean, comfortable beds, parking is convinent at front of our rooms, walk distance to Mono Lake.

Clean rooms although they smelled like mold. The towels did not small good either. It was SO noisy all night with road traffic, and since you cannot close the windows due to the in-window air conditioner there is nothing you could do. Too much money for a bad nights rest.

Clean, comfortable room. Great location close to Yosemite east entrance. Market a block away with good breakfast burritos and sandwiches. Room had a refrigerator with freezer, microwave, coffee maker. Only negative- we were in Room 1 which is a little small and is right on the road. We heard trucks all night. there is a large window that needs black out curtains. So it got very bright very early. I'm sure the other rooms are better! And the price was great for the location. I would stay here again.
