Spectacular last minute family trip to the southern coast of Portugal! Needed to escape the hustle and bustle of Seville for some R&R and Pine Cliffs Hotel was perfect for us! The grounds are spectacular, beautifully groomed with direct beach access. The restaurant directly on the beach served up high quality ceviche and drinks and there were ample beach chairs with shade available for our use. The 1 bedroom suite we reserved was spacious and clean though did show some signs of wear but was still clean with comfortable linens and towels. The breakfast bullet provided plenty of options to choose from with plenty of fresh fruit, pastries and the typical fare of higher end buffets (espresso drinks, juice options/smoothies, omelette station, etc). We would definitely stay again next time we visit southern Portugal!

The property and staff was amazing!! Everyone was very friendly and helpful! The grounds were beautiful and immaculate. So many dining options, multiple pools and a beautiful walk down to the beach. Highly recommend!!

I love everything in this resort except the following: There should be a dedicated area and pool for children and families with children. Fine dining area should be just adults only. Price points of their drinks is just outrageous, it’s understandable it’s in a five star resort but it’s in the Algarve, Portugal, not Manhattan, New York.

Lovely Location, beautiful Views from the Cliff. Phantastic Beach. Very nice Golf Course. The Restaurants were very expensive, but the food was excellent (Yakuza sushi and Pescador fish).

Hotel absolument superbe sur un site d'une grande beauté. Nous avons apprécié le calme et la courtoisie qui y règne. L'hôtel est au bord d'une falaise donc il faut marcher et descendre des marches pour accéder à la plage, aidés pour partie d'un ascenseur. Les chambres sont superbes, et le restaurant de poissons délicieux. Il est facile de se rendre à Albufeira, ville très animée le soir. Je recommande vivement cet hôtel luxueux.

Pine cliffs was beautiful and had some great amenities like the beach, pool, restaurants and spa. My husband and I stayed here five nights as part of our honeymoon and enjoyed our stay! Service was excellent and property was beautiful! Only reason I am rating it as 4 stars instead of 5 is that it was overall pretty expensive and felt like they nickle and dimed you a bit. For example, they had live TV but it cost 10 euros to rent a movie. If you wanted a drink besides for beer you were pretty much guaranteed to spend at least 14 euros and any average meal on site was around 20-25 euros not including sides or beverages. Any meal on site was very easy to hit 100 euros for just two people. That being said, we still thoroughly enjoyed the resort, went golfing, enjoyed the beach and grassy areas for lounging, breakfast was included and had a great selection. Room was clean, comfortable, and modern yet still inclusive of the culture. Would love to come back, just might do more meals/drinks off the campus.

Excellent for relaxing. Enjoy a sunny day under the pine trees or on the hotels beach. Plenty of eateries, cafes and restaurants. If you like golf or tennis, this is the place to be, plenty of Spa facilities. Brilliant, relaxing four day break.

We embarked on a relaxing vacation, with the intention of unwinding and enjoying some peaceful moments. However, it's important to highlight that this hotel resort is primarily geared towards families with small kids, and we found ourselves surrounded by young children throughout our stay. Considering that we have older kids, this came as a surprise. We did appreciate the hotel itself, and our room offered a fantastic view. The food was good, and the service was satisfactory. However, we couldn't help but notice the lack of designated adult-only areas at the resort. With more than 7 pools available, it was disheartening to find that not even one of them was reserved for adults seeking tranquility. The presence of kids breaking pool rules, such as jumping, ball games, and using huge inflatable beach animals in the pool, made it less enjoyable for us. Additionally, the absence of lifeguards overseeing the larger pools raised concerns, as we witnessed many hazardous situations that could have been averted with proper supervision. It seemed as though the staff were not intervening when rules were being blatantly disregarded. Our experience could have been improved if there had been at least one area designated for adults and if the hotel's rules were diligently enforced. We feel inclined to recommend this resort primarily to families with kids. For couples or families seeking a peaceful and relaxing experience, we regretfully cannot endorse this resort as the ideal choice.

Pros: Beautiful villas - gorgeous ocean views, great food options, wonderful staff. Cons: So, MANY, damn kids, strollers, smokers, and a plethora of Brits everywhere you go. Felt like UK 2.0 had taken over Portuguese culture. No exclusive adults / over 21 areas available. Kids/strollers + smokers in champagne bars, restaurants.

The resot is big and located on a wonderful beach. Unfortunately, I wouldnt call it a 5star family luxury resort. No entertainment for kids except ourdoor playground and paid 30-40euro babysitting. Food is average and overpriced and staff seem like they hate their job. Pool area is tired and dirty (papers, cigarets, empty glasses and dirty sunbeds)- no one takes responsability for that mess. No menu brougt to the bed- u need to go to bar yourself and order 20euro coctail. Big and wasted potential in my opinion.

The property was beautiful and the staff helpful and accomadating but not warm or friendly which we frequently encountered elsewhere in Portugal. The room was clean but haphazardly restocked. They didnt clear teacups until asked and either brought many waters or none. The facility is HUGE and maze like but we got used to it. Biggest complaint is: I tripped over an exposed wire and fell very hard at the bar on the terrace overlooking the cliffs. No one apologized; no one offered a comp drink; nothing . One nice waitstaff said she has complained to her boss about that cord.

This beautiful property is a hidden gem! Truly had the best time and every need was met! The staff were friendly, professional, and worked hard to help us enjoy our stay. The facilities were top notch. Grounds are beautiful, pools are clean, restaurants are delicious and varied, and the beach was one-of-a-kind! Our room in the hotel was beautifully updated and done with great quality. The room was well-equipped, and the housekeeping staff came by twice daily. We were thrilled to have the wonderful breakfast buffet included and it was just amazing every morning! We will be back to this resort without a doubt!!!

The property was gorgeous with the beautiful manicured outdoor areas of the pool and the spectacular cliffs and views of the ocean. Everything was so clean, the food was delicious and the service was exceptional. I can’t wait to go back!

The resot is big and located on a wonderful beach. Unfortunately, I wouldnt call it a 5star family luxury resort. No entertainment for kids except ourdoor playground and paid 30-40euro babysitting. Food is average and overpriced and staff seem like they hate their job. Pool area is tired and dirty (papers, cigarets, empty glasses and dirty sunbeds)- no one takes responsability for that mess. No menu brougt to the bed- u need to go to bar yourself and order 20euro coctail. Big and wasted potential in my opinion.

Spectacular last minute family trip to the southern coast of Portugal! Needed to escape the hustle and bustle of Seville for some R&R and Pine Cliffs Hotel was perfect for us! The grounds are spectacular, beautifully groomed with direct beach access. The restaurant directly on the beach served up high quality ceviche and drinks and there were ample beach chairs with shade available for our use. The 1 bedroom suite we reserved was spacious and clean though did show some signs of wear but was still clean with comfortable linens and towels. The breakfast bullet provided plenty of options to choose from with plenty of fresh fruit, pastries and the typical fare of higher end buffets (espresso drinks, juice options/smoothies, omelette station, etc). We would definitely stay again next time we visit southern Portugal!

Hotel absolument superbe sur un site d'une grande beauté. Nous avons apprécié le calme et la courtoisie qui y règne. L'hôtel est au bord d'une falaise donc il faut marcher et descendre des marches pour accéder à la plage, aidés pour partie d'un ascenseur. Les chambres sont superbes, et le restaurant de poissons délicieux. Il est facile de se rendre à Albufeira, ville très animée le soir. Je recommande vivement cet hôtel luxueux.

The property was beautiful and the staff helpful and accomadating but not warm or friendly which we frequently encountered elsewhere in Portugal. The room was clean but haphazardly restocked. They didnt clear teacups until asked and either brought many waters or none. The facility is HUGE and maze like but we got used to it. Biggest complaint is: I tripped over an exposed wire and fell very hard at the bar on the terrace overlooking the cliffs. No one apologized; no one offered a comp drink; nothing . One nice waitstaff said she has complained to her boss about that cord.

Stayed here for a mother/daughter vacation with my 7 year old. Was a beautiful property, we felt very safe and comfortable and it was the perfect hotel for kids. Lots of other kids to play with and tons of amenities geared towards kids. My daughter loved the kids club, games room, buffet and endless selection of pools to jump in. I held back one star on this review because there were several occasions where we felt like there was not enough waitstaff to handle the volume of guests and demands. We had to wait quite a long time for food service a few times and had to seek out staff to order food and drinks when lounging on the lawn. Other than that, it was great and I would definitely revisit with even more of our family because there is something for everyone and it has a great family atmosphere.

Excellent for relaxing. Enjoy a sunny day under the pine trees or on the hotels beach. Plenty of eateries, cafes and restaurants. If you like golf or tennis, this is the place to be, plenty of Spa facilities. Brilliant, relaxing four day break.

I love everything in this resort except the following: There should be a dedicated area and pool for children and families with children. Fine dining area should be just adults only. Price points of their drinks is just outrageous, it’s understandable it’s in a five star resort but it’s in the Algarve, Portugal, not Manhattan, New York.

Lovely Location, beautiful Views from the Cliff. Phantastic Beach. Very nice Golf Course. The Restaurants were very expensive, but the food was excellent (Yakuza sushi and Pescador fish).

Pine cliffs was beautiful and had some great amenities like the beach, pool, restaurants and spa. My husband and I stayed here five nights as part of our honeymoon and enjoyed our stay! Service was excellent and property was beautiful! Only reason I am rating it as 4 stars instead of 5 is that it was overall pretty expensive and felt like they nickle and dimed you a bit. For example, they had live TV but it cost 10 euros to rent a movie. If you wanted a drink besides for beer you were pretty much guaranteed to spend at least 14 euros and any average meal on site was around 20-25 euros not including sides or beverages. Any meal on site was very easy to hit 100 euros for just two people. That being said, we still thoroughly enjoyed the resort, went golfing, enjoyed the beach and grassy areas for lounging, breakfast was included and had a great selection. Room was clean, comfortable, and modern yet still inclusive of the culture. Would love to come back, just might do more meals/drinks off the campus.

Overall the hotel is nice with spacious, never felt overcrowded with plenty of grounds to walk and enjoy. Two main issues. Firstly, the breakfast was poor with luke warm food and dreadful coffee of all types. Secondly, there isn’t a nice bar to enjoy the evenings. The main bar is dark and dingy and the champagne bar which is nice shuts at 10pm.

It’s a stunning property. Loved the sunset champagne bar. Food and drinks are pricey, but there are other options nearby. The pizza at the Italian restaurant and the burger at the lunch spot near the pool with the swim up bar were yummy.

Only the prices are five stars, my room was.properly done only once in 6 days. Restaurants horribly expensive, for low quality. You have to queue for breakfast, very disappointed

The property was gorgeous with the beautiful manicured outdoor areas of the pool and the spectacular cliffs and views of the ocean. Everything was so clean, the food was delicious and the service was exceptional. I can’t wait to go back!

This is absolutely not a luxury resort in anyway way (do not be fooled by the photos on hotels.com -they are not reflective of the actual property). From the moment we checked in- Front desk staff didn’t tell us anything about the property and didn’t even tell us we needed to explicitly add a credit card so that we could charge items to the room. We had to leave one of the restaurants before even eating because no one ever came up to our table to take our order for 20 minutes. We also just gave up on the breakfast buffet because no one ever came to our table to get our coffee orders and we saw guests trying to figure out the espresso machine themselves; the buffet also appears unsanitary and completely overrun by guests. We saw the chef by the seafood grill feed stray cats with pieces of fish right in front of the grill, which also seemed very unsanitary. The beach chairs are completely taken over by 10am and they are very close together without any personal space. It was ridiculous that every transaction had a suggested tip of 20% (including non-service items such as the beach chairs). This is more like an average family resort you would find in Mexico and nothing at all reflective of a luxury resort, especially for the price.

Pine Cliff var et veldig fint sted å tilbringe tid for en familie. Vi var glad for tilgang til både strand og basseng, og aktiviteter som passelig golf. Alle som jobber der var veldig hyggelige og hjelpsomme. Det var et lite minus at det var vanskelig å få bord på restaurantene på resorten, men det var mange hyggelig alternativ både like utenfor og i nabobyene.
