Great choice if you are looking for an all-inclusive. Great selection of food and entertainment options. Close enough to the main streets but far enough away that it isn't loud. I highly recommend checking out Old Town Albufeira as well while you're in town.

Hotel more like a 3 star. Room clean but a long distance down up and down a hill to the restaurant. Then faced with numerous steps to the restaurant. Apparently there is another way in but this is not advertised. Paper and plastic cups in restaurant and you are not allowed to take these out of the restaurant. Outside area for entertainment is cold and not inviting. Food okay. Staff unsmiling. Beautiful location by the sea.

The hotel is very large, catering for all types of guests. I had a good size room with my own balcony, without paying extra. The room was clean and beds comfy. Throughout the room, there was a few aspects which required maintenance, most importantly, the door being difficult to lock. However, there is a very pleasant beach right next to hotel for those who would prefer peace a quiet. The down side was that my room was located directly across from a nightclub which played music until the early hours of the morning, which some may find difficult to sleep with. I’m addition, the hotel seems to attract a large amount of young adult as patrons, who are often noisy themselves. Parking at the hotel is available within their car park, but this can become full easily. When this happens, you can park on the street at no extra cost.

Overall the stay was great! The rooms were clean, included a closet, TV, and kitchenette. The bathroom was clean. Small counter space. If you get a double bed expect it to be two singles. The overall property was very beautiful. Many pools. A lot of the services were not working, no boat bar or hot tub. You’re not allowed to put water in the sauna. Communicating with some staff was difficult, they didn’t understand when we asked for a water refil station. We didn’t find out where the complimentary coffee/tea/juice/water stations were until we checked out (theyre in the reception lobby) other than served with meals. Coffee and tea however were only available with breakfast in Jacks diner. If you get all inclusive, don’t expect to be there for the food. Amazing desserts and fruit, but overall meals were okay. The property sits on an extremely beautiful beach with cliffs and hiking trails. Go just for the view!

Couldn’t sleep due to very loud night club blasting music all night. Pool wasn’t big enough for the hotel. Not enough sun loungers. Took me complaining to reception for someone to clean my room after 2 days. Room was dusty, grimy and generally uncomfortable.

Erg oud hotel erg gedateerd. Vies en slechte schoon maak. Communicatie was moeilijk geen engels taal machtig.. Ondanks dat we half pension hadden zijn we maar gaan uiteten wat we normaal niet doen. Eten elke dag kip en vis en het was koud.

Noisy place with a lot of partying. We stayed there for 2 weeks and had 10 cockroaches during that time. The first one slid right under the front door moments after we arrived. When we complained they tried relocating us to a smaller room with a terrible balcony and judging by the location it would have been a lot noisier so we refused. All they did to remediate the problem was to clean the room a little better and give us some bug spray. We asked them to fix the door so the cockroaches wouldn't get under the door and they said they'd contact maintenance but they never came so we had to stuff the gap with toilet paper for the rest of the trip. It wasn't until the 3rd complaint on the 12th day that someone took us seriously and finally contacted management. We had asked to contact someone in management before but they wouldn't do it. We were finally offered a better room but with only two nights left we didn't feel like moving. We were used to the roaches anyway. Apart from the roaches the room was nice enough. Close to the beach, nice balcony and a terrific view.

The property is advertised lovely, but the room is like a college dorm room in the 70's. There were small flies and mosquitoes dead and alive in the room. The property is in serious need of renovation. The terrace was filthy. There were no towels in the room. Front desk reception wouldn't answer the phone for over an hour. Ended up walking to reception to get them and they said they were 2 busy 2 answer. There was no wifi. Dr. Muthu should be ashamed of him self for allowing this property to be operable. It's not up to standard at all! All of these properties I see his name on in this area and he wont take out the time or money to bring this property up to standard. Another family was upset because their AC wasnt working for 3 days and they were getting bitten by mosquitoes sleeping with their door open because its so hot. People stop staying here and paying to accept these deplorable conditions. The more people keep patronizing he will never fix it! There are better more reasonably priced accommodations in the area. Were at the Auramar Beach Hotel now! What a pleasant difference! For less money! And check out is not 10:00 am!

Were at the Auramar Beach Hotel now! What a pleasant difference! For less money! And check out is not 10:00 am!

Couldn’t sleep due to very loud night club blasting music all night. Pool wasn’t big enough for the hotel. Not enough sun loungers. Took me complaining to reception for someone to clean my room after 2 days. Room was dusty, grimy and generally uncomfortable.

Below average hotel - the “all inclusive” (doesnt even include coffee at the main bar…) is runned down. We were missing towels one day, and had sheets put on that had yellow pee spots. Of all the nice places in Albufeira, would definitely never stay here again. Considering that Muthu seems to be a common hotel here, it really is below average.

***JUST DON'T DO IT*** We did go out of season and did get a good price on All Inclusive but I did not expect what we got. The hotel grounds are beautiful and gorgeous beachfront location but the rooms are tired (although clean) and don't dare ask for a double bed. Having booked a double room on Expedia I did not expect 2 single beds pushed together and made as 2 singles. Not a major thing but when I had the audacity to contact reception to quey this I was immediately shut down with a passive aggressive; "Not being rude 'Madam', you booked an apartment, you get twin beds. There are no doubles". Then there was the issue with booking for the A La Carte restaurants. These are grim. Plastic chairs under plastic tarpaulin for the 'Mandarin' and 'Mexican'. The food not much better. Having been told they were fully booked (and eventually got booked in) there was barely anyone there and no atmosphere and half hearted service. Drinks are basic. Beer and warm wine in the buffet in plastic cups, the only glass is in the A la Carte's. Even at The Ocean Bar it was plastic cups but the staff down there actually raised a smile and were friendly and made semi-decent cocktails. It is a bland hotel with bland food and no atmosphere. Severely dated with rude and disinterested staff. Maybe it's better in the summer months??? I somehow doubt it. I have travelled alot and can honestly say that this was the poorest customer service and expertise at a hotel that I've ever had.

Great stay with amazing views. Room was nice, all inclusive was great, staff were lovely. Food can get a bit repetitive but we found it okay as not picky eaters. Lots of restaurants you can book but we found these varied. But great value overall with the burgers tacos etc, especially for drinks!

Overall the stay was great! The rooms were clean, included a closet, TV, and kitchenette. The bathroom was clean. Small counter space. If you get a double bed expect it to be two singles. The overall property was very beautiful. Many pools. A lot of the services were not working, no boat bar or hot tub. You’re not allowed to put water in the sauna. Communicating with some staff was difficult, they didn’t understand when we asked for a water refil station. We didn’t find out where the complimentary coffee/tea/juice/water stations were until we checked out (theyre in the reception lobby) other than served with meals. We booked our hotel and arrived at 830 pm and checked in. Our room had 2 single beds instead of a double size we requested, no towels and then the Air conditioning didn't work. The maintenance worker tried to fix it but gave up and said I can bring you a fan. When we went to the bathroom, there were ants all over in the bathroom. This all took two hours. We tried to contact the manager, The most frustrating part was the manager didn't even bother to come out of her office to speak with us. We were told to sit in the Lobby outside her office. It took us until after 11 pm trying to get the mess fixed and finally get moved to another room. I was really foreword to going to a 4 star hotel and it looked really good when we saw it but it was very disappointing. I think Dr. Mutu had a great vision but the place is sadly lacking. It hardly looked like 4 star inside, needlng maintenance to be kept up at least in section K where we were. We were given the second room we were assured we could stay and check out at 12 noon which was nice because regular check out time was 10:00 Am. But the next morning we we're woken by cleaning staff knocking at 0915 and told it's check out time. I think there is no coordination between the staff. There is lack of maintenance staff. One guy was running around trying to do everything. The staff was carrying towels and sheets in plastic bags. In some areas the staff was using grocery store carts to move stuff.

Noisy place with a lot of partying. We stayed there for 2 weeks and had 10 cockroaches during that time. The first one slid right under the front door moments after we arrived. When we complained they tried relocating us to a smaller room with a terrible balcony and judging by the location it would have been a lot noisier so we refused. We stayed for over a month, and we doubt with a gentleman by the name of Rui, at the front desk. He was so incredibly helpful, friendly, insightful, and gave us some phenomenal suggestions. No request was too small or too big. His Customer service really made our trip memorable. He gave us ideas for places to go, restaurants, bakeries, local things to do, and if we had any issues at all, they were dealt with, in an expedient fashion! Fabulous room, we upgraded to a two bedroom suite overlooking the ocean. I would recommend this property every time. We took the self catering option, which was wonderful.

Un petit séjour au soleil du Portugal en février . L’endroit où se situe l’hôtel est vraiment très bien placé en bord de mer avec accès direct à la plage L’hôtel est très agréable, nous avions un séjour en all inclusif . Petit point noir le choix au buffet de l’hôtel assez limité pour des clients français L’hôtel etait plein de clients anglais qui étaient plus intéressés par le concept bar à volonté que nourriture !!! Fabulous place for long stay! We stayed 2 month and we have to give full credit to Rui at front desk! He was amazing, helpful, and anytime anything needed attention, he was right on it. He was so wonderful and our favourite staff member. Thank you so much for being so kind to us while we were here.

Need to change hotel which was further to the beach and the check was slow they take 20 minutes to find my reservation , the hotel is overflow with british who are drunk all night and scream and fight in the hotel I couldn’t sleep the room are so run down

We stayed for over a month, and we doubt with a gentleman by the name of Rui, at the front desk. He was so incredibly helpful, friendly, insightful, and gave us some phenomenal suggestions. No request was too small or too big. His Customer service really made our trip memorable. He gave us ideas for places to go, restaurants, bakeries, local things to do, and if we had any issues at all, they were dealt with, in an expedient fashion! Fabulous room, we upgraded to a two bedroom suite overlooking the ocean. I would recommend this property every time. We took the self catering option, which was wonderful.

Wonderful stay loved everything about it. Location good right by the beach 30 min stroll to Albufeira some nice bars nearby. Loved it! Our only regret is we’ve left it 8 years since our last visit!

Thankfully there are numerous great restaurants down on the beach - with a great view!! Place reminds me if a Las Vegas hotel or cruise ship. Great location, but all about $$.

Hotel more like a 3 star. Room clean but a long distance down up and down a hill to the restaurant. Then faced with numerous steps to the restaurant. Apparently there is another way in but this is not advertised. Paper and plastic cups in restaurant and you are not allowed to take these out of the restaurant. Outside area for entertainment is cold and not inviting. Food okay. Staff unsmiling. Beautiful location by the sea.

Un petit séjour au soleil du Portugal en février . L’endroit où se situe l’hôtel est vraiment très bien placé en bord de mer avec accès direct à la plage L’hôtel est très agréable, nous avions un séjour en all inclusif . ***JUST DON'T DO IT*** We did go out of season and did get a good price on All Inclusive but I did not expect what we got. The hotel grounds are beautiful and gorgeous beachfront location but the rooms are tired (although clean) and don't dare ask for a double bed. Having booked a double room on Expedia I did not expect 2 single beds pushed together and made as 2 singles. Not a major thing but when I had the audacity to contact reception to quey this I was immediately shut down with a passive aggressive; "Not being rude 'Madam', you booked an apartment, you get twin beds. There are no doubles". Then there was the issue with booking for the A La Carte restaurants. These are grim. Plastic chairs under plastic tarpaulin for the 'Mandarin' and 'Mexican'. The food not much better. Having been told they were fully booked (and eventually got booked in) there was barely anyone there and no atmosphere and half hearted service. Drinks are basic. Beer and warm wine in the buffet in plastic cups, the only glass is in the A la Carte's. Even at The Ocean Bar it was plastic cups but the staff down there actually raised a smile and were friendly and made semi-decent cocktails. It is a bland hotel with bland food and no atmosphere. Severely dated with rude and disinterested staff. Maybe it's better in the summer months??? I somehow doubt it. I have travelled alot and can honestly say that this was the poorest customer service and expertise at a hotel that I've ever had.

Great stay with amazing views. Room was nice, all inclusive was great, staff were lovely. Food can get a bit repetitive but we found it okay as not picky eaters. Lots of restaurants you can book but we found these varied. But great value overall with the burgers tacos etc, especially for drinks!

Overall the stay was great! The rooms were clean, included a closet, TV, and kitchenette. The bathroom was clean. Small counter space. If you get a double bed expect it to be two singles. The overall property was very beautiful. Many pools. A lot of the services were not working, no boat bar or hot tub. You’re not allowed to put water in the sauna. Communicating with some staff was difficult, they didn’t understand when we asked for a water refil station. We didn’t find out where the complimentary coffee/tea/juice/water stations were until we checked out (theyre in the reception lobby) other than served with meals. Coffee and tea however were only available with breakfast in Jacks diner. If you get all inclusive, don’t expect to be there for the food. Amazing desserts and fruit, but overall meals were okay. The property sits on an extremely beautiful beach with cliffs and hiking trails. Go just for the view!

Erg oud hotel erg gedateerd. Vies en slechte schoon maak. Communicatie was moeilijk geen engels taal machtig.. Ondanks dat we half pension hadden zijn we maar gaan uiteten wat we normaal niet doen. Eten elke dag kip en vis en het was koud.

Almuerzo poca variedad, cenas muy bien ya que puedes coger muchos restaurantes (mexicano, italiano, asiático, etc...). Problema que le he visto que para españoles no es, hablan inglés, alemán, francés, portugués, español nada, TV de los 48 canales solamente dos canales españoles (TVE y el 24H). Por todo lo demás perfecto.

Checking took nearly an hour, queues for sun beds, for food (I’ll get to the food), for drinks (you can get only 2 drinks per person, so a family of 4 need 2 members to go to the bar). Always running out of drinks around the pool. The food was terrible. I stayed for 6 days and ate in the hotel only 4 times. The worst cuts of “meat” used which resulted in mainly bones. Oh and the “kebab hut” took 30 mins to queue up for and 1 per person. So again, if the family want to eat from a snack bar they all need to queue for half an hour together. Really not what you expect from a hotel billing themselves as 4 star. Staff didn’t want to help with anything. Bars closed at 11, but last orders at 10.30 and lights turned off and kicked out at 11. You can then head to the piano bar, but must pay for the same drinks that you were just consuming in the beach bar. Additionally a security guy (PSG logo on T-shirt) would come around the pool each day at 4pm and aggressively “police” what was happening: people messing about in the pool, throwing a ball in the pool (yes! A ball!), sitting on the side of the pool drinking. All things that people were allowed to do for the 7 hours that not a single staff member was there, but at 4pm suddenly there were rules. The staff were predominantly not Portuguese and there was a huge language barrier. Don’t stay here
