Excellent experience. Did not like that there were stairs in the hallway to rooms as this made it difficult to move large suitcases to room and back to lobby.

Great property. Rooms were beautiful and updated. Excellent location. Only issue was the elevator was out of service, but they brought our bags up 3 floors for us. Wonderful breakfast too.

We asked for twin beds with a water view and that’s what we got. Everything was clean. They have a lift for those who can’t do stairs. Breakfast was fantastic.

What a wonderful clean comfortable hotel. We had a view of the harbour that was amazing to wake up to. The breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented. Everyone was really helpful…cannot say enough good things about it.

We liked our stay in Actons. Nice harbour view rooms. Compliments to house keeping. Food in the bar was good, the lighing was too bright which stole the ambiance otherwise all good. Good breakfast. Worth noting that vegan options around town in restaurants were very bad but Actons have a limited vegan menu, but at least they have one and it is good.

Kinsale is a very beautiful town and it is a bit on the pricey side because of its “foodie capital of Ireland” reputation. With that said, Actons Hotel is overall lovely. My issue was that on the night we stayed there was a wedding (maybe two) and the wedding crowd partied until about 5am, moving in and out of rooms, socializing in the halls, and being very loud. Repeated attempts were made to get them and/or the front desk to put an end to it, but it never happened. Quite a shame because this is a nice hotel. But for the price we paid to get no sleep is really unacceptable.

Was nice room was big could use a few updates but I would definitely stay here next time I am in kinsale. Front staff was exceptional as well as the food service for breakfast.

I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Beautiful view across to the boat harbor. Excellent breakfast including eggs to order, friendly and helpful staff. Walk to all the interesting shops and restaurants. Beautifully upgraded and spacious room. Only wish we could have stayed more than 2 days!

Checked in at 4pm and booked room was not ready. So at least they upgraded us. Weren’t overly friendly. Room was nice. Good location for eating out and close to shops.

I was fortunate enough to get a room here. It was far more luxurious than what I had paid for. At one point I ordered room service and they forgot to ask for my room number. When I called back later they apologized profusely and then comped the meal. They didn’t have to do that. The care for the customer is top notch

I would have loved to stay here two nights. The hotel is right on the bay - beautiful. We stopped at a local pub and had a tradition fish & chips dinner. Breakfast was wonderful. We didn't have time for the fort - I would stay two nights next time!!

Great property. Rooms were beautiful and updated. Excellent location. Only issue was the elevator was out of service, but they brought our bags up 3 floors for us. Wonderful breakfast too.

Amazing hotel in walking distance to city. Very comfortable rooms with amazing showers. We had a water view room that included a Nespresso machine and kettle. Breakfast in the morning was great and they have both a buffet style and menu. Overall great hotel and I would highly recommend.

The location of the Actons Hotel was perfect. A quick walk to attractions, dining, and pubs. You can walk or drive to Charles Fort. The breakfast was amazing.

Elevator not working so walked up and down 3 double flights to 3rd floor. Received no compensation for this inconvenience. Cafe was “out of beef” so limited choices.

Beautiful hotel with an elevator, a bar and a restaurant. Breakfast was very good and there was complimentary coffee. We had a king room on the third floor facing the marina. What a view! Wish we could've stayed longer.

Unfortunately the Actons experience was not a positive one this time. This is primarily due to their staff, particularly on the front desk and how we were treated on check in. When asked if they could help get us early check in, they declined to do anything proactive and ultimately told my wife rather dismissively “it was the luck of the draw” that other later arriving customers got rooms before we did. Aside from that, the room itself was fine. The food (breakfast only) is average - the menu feels a little dated. The location is great and parking is convenient. Overall, it was not a welcoming experience.

On neg our room was on the 1st floor facing street level so we felt like we were in a fish bowl lol. The staff were great . Huge breakfast.
