Il faisait lourd dans la chambre car la climatisation ne fonctionnait pas. Ne mettez pas dans votre descriptif que vos chambres sont équipées de la climatisation car ce nest pas vrai, nous avons du faire un courant d'air pour supporter la chaleur. Le petit-déjeuner était bon. Le beurre est présenté en meule dans une assiette et il n'y a que du beurre salé. Ce serait mieux de prevoir des mini beurre pas salés, des mini beurre avec moins de cholestérol.

The outside of the building is remarkable. All of the staff were kind, polite and provided excellent service. I don’t think the rooms rise to a Mercure standard though. I would down grade it as an IBIS. I have stayed in multiple ACCOR properties since 2018. I am a rewards member.

Don’t stay here. Location is nice but management was poor. No A/C as advertised. Complained FIVE TIMES to front desk and was told they would find a “solution.” Never did. I wasted the day and paid almost $500 euros for two nights and never slept a wink because it was so hot. Poor customer service. All I wanted was to move to a different room where the A/C worked.

Don’t stay here. Location is nice but management was poor. No A/C as advertised. Complained FIVE TIMES to front desk and was told they would find a “solution.” Never did. I wasted the day and paid almost $500 euros for two nights and never slept a wink because it was so hot. Poor customer service. All I wanted was to move to a different room where the A/C worked.

Prima voor een paar nachten. Kamers wel echt erg klein en gedateerd. Eerst kregen we een kamer waar de airco stuk was en ook boorpuin op de grond lag. Deze werd snel omgeruild naar een andere kamer. Ook problemen met de airco, viel iedere 2 uur uit. Voor een paar nachten zou ik hier zo weer heen gaan. Schoon en perfecte locatie.

La propreté de la chambre laisse à désirer: les murs et le plafonds étaient tapissés de moustiques écrasés que l'hôtel n'a apparemment pas jugé bon de nettoyer; les serviettes de toilettes sentaient assez mauvais et les chambres étaient très mal insonorisées. Pour avoir déjà fréquenté des hôtels Mercure et habituée à leur standing, j'avoue avoir été déçue

Bel hotel en façade. Accueil tres sympathique. Helas petite chambre mediocre avec une vue sur cour encore plus mediocre, ne correspondant nullement a ce que nous pouvions nous attendre d'un mercure et de celui avec ses beaux apparats. Au moins c'etait proore et la literie était bonne. Cest bien le minimum

Our room was full of them, so much so, we’ve been bitten all over. When we checked out they informed us we should have asked for a repellant, really. If you knew they was an issue 1. We put guests in these rooms and 2. Put repellant items in there . Shame as location was ideal

This is a nice hotel with clean rooms, pleasant staff, an excellent location and very good breakfasts. We had room 301, a ‘privilege’ room. They said it was one of their best (don’t they always!). It had a vast lovely bathroom with marble tiles and a walk-in shower. The bedroom was a bit small although looking at the hotel plan many were a lot smaller. We could have done with a king size bed. There were no comfortable chairs - just sit up ones and it would be good to have drawers each side of the bed as well as the large storage cupboard. The single tiny lift is inadequate for a hotel with over 120 bedrooms. These days I think hotels should have facilities on both sides of the bed for charging phones. Having said all that I would stay there again. We found the food in local restaurants heavy with excessive cheese plonked on everything but did not book for any of the posh restaurants. Excursions were easy and we loved The Swimming Pool museum and LaM with its outsider art collection (although it did have a bit of an end o f the season feel - only one map left!).

Breakfast very average, was crowded on Sunday morning, not enough seats for everyone. Room had over a dozen mosquitoes flying around which unfortunately made sleeping a bit of a challenge. Even with balcony door closed all the time we kept finding more. Not the hotel’s fault but it spolit out time there.

Chambre vieillissante et petite pour le prix vous payez l’emplacement… lit avec structure métallique pas stable. (On s’assoit sur un côté de lit et l’autre côté se lève). La salle de bain manque d’hygiène : moisi sur les sur les surfaces de la douche qui ne date pas d’hier tous les joints remplis de poussière, calcaire au niveau des pommeaux de douche qui du coup limite la pression de l’eau. On a tout de même pas mal dormi mais vraiment déçue pour un mercrure comme indiqué à votre personnel.

Chambre très petite et mal agencée. Salle de bain dangereuse ! La porte de la douche fait moins de 40 cm avec une marche de 20 cm ! Il faut entrer en se tournant de côté! La sortie est encore plus difficile. Interdit aux personnes âgées. Le parquet grince dans les couloirs et dans la chambre ! Quel dommage car l’emplacement est idéal pour visiter Lille.

Het personeel was heel vriendelijk, de ligging middenin het oude centrum was perfect. De kamers waren erg klein en het ontbijtbuffet niet heel geweldig: het verse fruit smaakte vies en het roerei was een grote klont. Al met al een oké verblijf.

Staff members were wonderful. Very accessible and helpful. Hugo was amazing! So convenient to all parts of Old Lille, including mall and train station. You can walk everywhere.

It was great location and staff were very friendly and accommodated everything we needed. Considering it was close to the city it was quiet. The hotel upgraded us too as there were works happening so we never heard them or were interrupted by them. Great dinner recommendations given. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Het personeel was heel vriendelijk, de ligging middenin het oude centrum was perfect. De kamers waren erg klein en het ontbijtbuffet niet heel geweldig: het verse fruit smaakte vies en het roerei was een grote klont. Al met al een oké verblijf.

This is a nice hotel with clean rooms, pleasant staff, an excellent location and very good breakfasts. We had room 301, a ‘privilege’ room. They said it was one of their best (don’t they always!). It had a vast lovely bathroom with marble tiles and a walk-in shower. The bedroom was a bit small although looking at the hotel plan many were a lot smaller. We could have done with a king size bed. There were no comfortable chairs - just sit up ones and it would be good to have drawers each side of the bed as well as the large storage cupboard. The single tiny lift is inadequate for a hotel with over 120 bedrooms. These days I think hotels should have facilities on both sides of the bed for charging phones. Having said all that I would stay there again. We found the food in local restaurants heavy with excessive cheese plonked on everything but did not book for any of the posh restaurants. Excursions were easy and we loved The Swimming Pool museum and LaM with its outsider art collection (although it did have a bit of an end o f the season feel - only one map left!).

Breakfast very average, was crowded on Sunday morning, not enough seats for everyone. Room had over a dozen mosquitoes flying around which unfortunately made sleeping a bit of a challenge. Even with balcony door closed all the time we kept finding more. Not the hotel’s fault but it spolit out time there.

The room was beautifully appointed, with the bathroom and changing area well separated from the sleeping area. The balcony gave a nice view of nearby architecture. The location of the hotel was in walking distance to the main Republic plaza, dining, and the Palais des Beaux Arts. The Citadel park, also in walking distance, served as a viewing point of the solar eclipse. Eurostar train service to London and other locations in mainland Europe was a short 20 min walk away. The buffet breakfast was excellent and I especially appreciated the water spiggets on each floor to fill up your water bottle with either plain filtered or carbonated water. The front desk was mostly helpful, although one woman could have used additional customer support training in cheerfully answering questions. The room was cooled to a comfortable temperature, a welcome respite from the outside heat wave. All in all a wonderful experience. I would return.
